Petrology, Metamorphic Process and Genesis of The Dabie--Sulu Eclogite Belt, Eastern--Central China显示文摘The Qinling-Dabie-Sulu high-pressure and ultra-high pressure metamorphic belt wasformed by subduction and collision between the North China and Yangtze plates. The study ofthe eclogite belt is very important in understanding the evolution of the Qinling Dabie orogen. Inthe present paper the geology, petrology, minerology and chronology of the eclogites in the Dabieand Sulu areas are described. The principal conclusions of this work are as follows: (1) Based up-on the field occurrence and the P-T conditions of the eclogites, two types of eclogite can be dis-tinguished: Type 1—the low-temperature and high-pressure eclogite in the mid-late Proterozoicmetamorphic series, and Type 2—the ultra-high pressure eclogite in the late Archaean to earlyProterozoic metamorphic complex. In the Dabie area, the ultra-high-pressure eclogite,high-pressure eclogite and epidote-blueschist units are nearly parallel to each other and stretchintermittently from north to south. (2) The P-T conditions of the high-pressure eclogites and ul-tra-high pressure eclogites have been estimated. The former are formed at 450-550℃ and1.4-1.6 GPa; while the latter at 650-870℃ and >2.7-2.9 GPa in the Dabie area and at820-1000℃ and >2.8-3.1 GPa in the Sulu area. The metamorphic temperatures of the eclogitesincrease progressively from west to east. (3) The ultra-high pressure eclogites were subjected to 5stages of metamorphism: pre-eclogite epidote amphibolite facies, peak coesite eclogite facies,post-eclogite amphibolite facies, epidote-blueschist facies or epidote amphibolite facies andgreenschist facies. The general features of the PTt path of the ultra-high pressure eclogite are:clockwise pattern, progressive metamorphism being a process of slow increasing temperature andrapid increasing pressure, and the retrogressive section with nearly isothermal decompression atthe early stage, isobaric cooling at the middle stage and nearly isothermal decompression at thelate stage. (4) At least two stages of high-pressure metamorphism occurred in the orogenic belt:the high-pressure eclogite and ultra-high pressure eclogite were formed by the subduction of theoceanic crust northward beneath the North China plate or the Dabie block during theCaledonian; while the epidote-blueschist belt came into being by subdution and collision be-tween the two continental plates during the Indosinian. (5) Due to the continuous sequentialsubduction of the cold plate, the ultra high-presssure metamorphic rocks were uplifted to thecrust by the underplating processes. They can be preserved just because of the 'frozen effect' re-sulting from the continuous subduction of the cold plate. (6) The carbonates, such as magnesite, breunnerite, aragonite and dolomite, and the H2O-bearing minerals, such as phengite, epidoteand zoisite, were stable during the high-pressure and/or ultra-high pressure metamorphism. | Zhang Zeming You Zhendong Han Yujing and Sang Longkang Department of Earth Sciences, China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, Hubei | 1996 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)1996,70,2: | 17
Famitinib in combination with concurrent chemoradiotherapy in patients with locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma: a phase 1, open-label, dose-escalation Study显示文摘Background:Famitinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor against multiple targets, including vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2/3,platelet-derived growth factor receptor, and stem cell factor receptor(c-kit).Previous studies have demonstrated anti-tumour activities of famitinib against a wide variety of advanced-stage solid cancers. We aimed to determine the safety and efficacy of famitinib with concurrent chemoradiotherapy(CCRT)in patients with locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).We also evaluated the feasibility of contrast-enhanced ultrasound(D-CEUS)as a predictor of early tumour response to famitinib and to correlate functional parameters with clinical efficacy. Methods:The trial was conducted in subjects with stage III or IVa-b NPC using a 3+3 design of escalating fami-tinib doses.Briefly, subjects received 2 weeks of famitinib monotherapy followed by 7 weeks of famitinib plus CCRT.D-CEUS of the neck lymph nodes was performed at day 0,8 and 15 after famitinib was administered before starting concurrent chemoradiotherapy.End points included safety, tolerability and anti-tumour activity. Results:Twenty patients were enrolled(six each for 12.5,16.5 and 20 mg and two for 25 mg).Two patients in the 25 mg cohort developed dose-limiting toxicities, including grade 4 thrombocytopenia and grade 3 hypertension. The most common grade 3/4 adverse events were leukopenia, neutropenia and radiation mucositis.D-CEUS tests showed that more than 60%of patients achieved a perfusion parameter response after 2 weeks taking famitinib alone, and the parameter response was associated with disease improvement. In the famitinib monotherapy stage, three patients(15%)showed partial responses. The complete response rate was 65%at the completion of treatment and 95%3 months after the treatment ended. After a median follow-up of 44 months, the 3-year progression-free survival(PFS)and distant metastasis-free survival were 70%and 75%,respectively.Subjects with a decrease of perfusion parameter response, such as peak intensity decreased at least 30%after 1 week of famitinib treatment, had higher 3-year PFS(90.9%vs.44.4%,95%CI 73.7%-100%vs.11.9%-76.9%,P<0.001)than those with an increase or a reduction of less than 30%.Conclusions:The recommended famitinib dose for phase II trial is 20 mg with CCRT for patients with local advanced NPC.D-CEUS is a reliable and early measure of efficacy for famitinib therapies.Further investigation is required to confirm the effects of famitinib plus chemoradiotherapy. | Qiuyan Chen Linquan Tang Na Liu Feng Han Ling Guo Shanshan Guo Jianwei Wang Huai Liu Yanfang Ye Lu Zhang Liting Liu Pan Wang Yingqin Li Qingmei He Xiaoqun Yang Qingnan Tang Yang Li YuJing Liang XueSong Sun Chuanmiao Xie Yunxian Mo Ying Guo Rui Sun Haoyuan Mo Kajia Cao Xiang Guo Musheng Zeng Haiqiang Mai Jun Ma | 2018 | Cancer Communications2018,38,1: | 6
IL-17A-dependent gut microbiota is essential for regulating diet-induced disorders in mice显示文摘The gut microbiota plays a key role in obesity and related metabolic disorders, and multiple factors including diet, host genotype, and age regulate it. Many studies have examined the contribution of extrinsic factors to the regulation of the gut microbiota, but the importance of the host genetic constitution cannot be ignored. Interleukin 17A(IL-17A), a pro-inflammatory cytokine, is important in the defense against infection and diseases. Here, we investigated the association among IL-17, a high-fat diet(HFD), and the gut microbiota. Mice deficient in IL-17A were resistant to diet-induced obesity and related diseases. Compared with the Ⅱ-17^(-/-)mice, wild-type(WT) mice challenged with HFD showed obvious weight fluctuations, such as those seen in type 2 diabetes, and hematological changes similar to those associated with metabolic syndrome. However, housing WT mice and Ⅱ-17a^(-/-)mice together significantly alleviated these symptoms in the WT mice. A metagenomic analysis of the mouse feces indicated that the microbial community compositions of these two groups differed before HFD feeding. The HFD mediated shifts in the gut microbial compositions, which were associated with the mouse phenotypes. We also identified potentially beneficial and harmful species present during this period, and drew networks of the most abundant species. A functional analysis indicated pathway changes in the WT and Ⅱ-17a^(-/-)mice when fed the HFD. Collectively, these data underscore the importance of the host factor IL-17 A in shaping and regulating the gut microbiota, which conversely, influences the host health. | Yujing Bi Chunxiao Li Lin Liu Jiyuan Zhou Zhengchao Li Huimin Deng Chunyan Wu Yanping Han Yajun Song Yafang Tan Xiaoyi Wang Zongmin Du Yujun Cui Yanfeng Yan Fachao Zhi Guangwei Liu Nan Qin Heping Zhang Ruifu Yang | 2017 | Science Bulletin2017,62,15: | 5
Anisotropic surface roughness and shear behaviors of rough-walled plaster joints under constant normal load and constant normal stiffness conditions显示文摘In this context,we experimentally studied the anisotropic mechanical behaviors of rough-walled plaster joints using a servo-controlled direct shear apparatus under both constant normal load(CNL)and constant normal stiffness(CNS)conditions. The shear-induced variations in the normal displacement, shear stress, normal stress and sheared-off asperity mass are analyzed and correlated with the inclination angle of the critical waviness of joint surfaces. The results show that CNS condition gives rise to a smaller normal displacement due to the larger normal stress during shearing, compared with CNL condition.Under CNL conditions, there is one peak shear stress during shearing, whereas there are no peak shear stress for some cases and two peaks for other cases under CNS conditions depending on the geometry of joint surfaces. The inclination angle of the critical waviness has been verified to be capable of describing the joint surface roughness and anisotropy. The joint surface is more significantly damaged under CNS conditions than that under CNL conditions. With increment of the inclination angle of the critical waviness, both the normal displaceme nt and shea red-off asperity mass increase, following power law functions;yet the coefficient of deternination under CNL conditions is larger than that under CNS conditions. This is because the CNS condition significantly decreases the inclination angle of the critical waviness during shearing due to the larger degree of asperity degradation. | Richeng Liu Sha Lou Xiaojing Li Guansheng Han Yujing Jiang | 2020 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2020,12,2: | 5
Alterations in gut microbiota and metabolites associated with altitude-induced cardiac hypertrophy in rats during hypobaric hypoxia challenge显示文摘The gut microbiota is involved in host responses to high altitude. However, the dynamics of intestinal microecology and their association with altitude-related illness are poorly understood. Here,we used a rat model of hypobaric hypoxia challenge to mimic plateau exposure and monitored the gut microbiome,short-chain fatty acids(SCFAs),and bile acids(BAs)over 28 d.We identified weight loss, polycythemia, and pathological cardiac hypertrophy in hypoxic rats, accompanied by a large compositional shift in the gut microbiota, which is mainly driven by the bacterial families of Prevotellaceae,Porphyromonadaceae, and Streptococcaceae. The aberrant gut microbiota was characterized by increased abundance of the Parabacteroides,Alistipes, and Lactococcus genera and a larger Bacteroides to Prevotella ratio.Trans-omics analyses showed that the gut microbiome was significantly correlated with the metabolic abnormalities of SCFAs and BAs in feces, suggesting an interaction network remodeling of the microbiome-metabolome after the hypobaric hypoxia challenge.Interestingly, the transplantation of fecal microbiota significantly increased the diversity of the gut microbiota, partially inhibited the increased abundance of the Bacteroides and Alistipes genera, restored the decrease of plasma propionate, and moderately ameliorated cardiac hypertrophy in hypoxic rats. Our results provide an insight into the longitudinal changes in intestinal microecology during the hypobaric hypoxia challenge.Abnormalities in the gut microbiota and microbial metabolites contribute to the development of high-altitude heart disease in rats. | Zhiyuan Pan Yichen Hu Zongyu Huang Ni Han Yan Li Xiaomei Zhuang Jiye Yin Hui Peng Quansheng Gao Wenpeng Zhang Yong Huang Yujun Cui Yujing Bi Zhenjiang Zech Xu Ruifu Yang | 2022 | Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,10: | 5
Glucocorticoid receptor promotes the function of myeloid-derived suppressor cells by suppressing HIF1α-dependent glycolysis显示文摘Immunomodulatory signaling imposes tight regulations on metabolic programs within immune cells and consequentially determines immune response outcomes.Although the glucocorticoid receptor(GR)has been recently implicated in regulating the function of myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs),whether the dysregulation of GR in MDSCs is involved in immune-mediated hepatic diseases and how GR regulates the function of MDSCs in such a context remains unknown. Here,we revealed the dysregulation of GR expression in MDSCs during innate immunological hepatic injury(IMH)and found that GR regulates the function of MDSCs through modulating HIF1α-dependent glycolysis.Pharmacological modulation of GR by its agonist(dexamethasone,Dex)protects IMH mice against inflammatory injury.Mechanistically,GR signaling suppresses HIF1αand HIF1α-dependent glycolysis in MDSCs and thus promotes the immune suppressive activity of MDSCs.Our studies reveal a role of GR-HIF1αin regulating the metabolism and function of MDSCs and further implicate MDSC GR signaling as a potential therapeutic target in hepatic diseases that are driven by innate immune cell-mediated systemic inflammation. | Yun Lu Huanrong Liu Yujing Bi Hui Yang Yan Li Jian Wang Zhengguo Zhang Yu Wang Chunxiao Li Anna Jia Linian Han Ying Hu Yong Zhao Ruoning Wang Guangwei Liu | 2018 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,6: | 4
TEM and HRTEM Study of Microstructures in Omphacite from UHP Eclogites at Shima,Dabie Mountains,China显示文摘Transmission electron microscope (TEM) and high resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM) analyses have been performed on omphacite from ultra-high pressure (UHP) eclogites at the locality of Shima, Dabie Mountains, China. TEM reveals that the microstructures consist dominantly of dislocation substructures, including free dislocations, loops, tiltwalls, dislocation tangles and subboundaries. They were produced by high-temperature ductile deformation, of which the main mechanism was dislocation creep. Antiphase domain (APD) boundaries are common planar defects; an age of 470±6 Ma for UHP eclogite formation has been obtained from the equiaxial size of APDs in ordered omphacites from Shima, coincident with ages given by single-zircon U-Pb dating (471±2 Ma). HRTEM reveals C2/c and P2ln space groups in different parts of one single omphacite crystal, and no exsolution is observed in the studied samples, which is attributed to rapid cooling. | 8 | Transcriptomic Response to Yersinia pestis:RIG-I Like Receptor Signaling Response Is Detrimental to the Host against Plague显示文摘Bacterial pathogens have evolved various mechanisms to modulate host immune responses for successful infection. In this study,RNAsequencing technology was used to analyze the responses of human monocytes THP1 to Yersinia pestis infection.Over 6000 genes were differentially expressed over the 12 h infection.Kinetic responses of pathogen recognition receptor signaling pathways, apoptosis, antigen processing, and presentation pathway and coagulation system were analyzed in detail.Among them,RIG-I-like receptor(RLR) signaling pathway, which was established for antiviral defense, was significantly affected.Mice lacking MAVS,the adaptor of the RLR signahng pathway, were less sensitive to infection and exhibited lower IFN-P production, higher Thl-type cytokines IFN-y and IL-12 production, and lower Th2-type cytokines EL-4 and IL-13 production in the serum compared with wild-type mice. Moreover, infection of pathogenic bacteria other than Y.pestis also altered the expression of the RLR pathway, suggesting that the response of RLR pathway to bacterial infection is a universal mechanism. | Zongmin Du Huiying Yang Yafang Tan Guang Tian Qingwen Zhang Yujun Cui Yanfeng Yan Xiaohong Wu Zuyun Chen Shiyang Cao Yujing Bi Yanping Han Xiaoyi Wang Yajun Song Ruifu Yan | 2014 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2014,41,7: | 2

Proanthocyanidins extracted from grape seeds inhibit the growth of hepatocellular carcinoma cells and induce apoptosis through the MAPK/AKT pathway显示文摘Proanthocyanidins naturally occur in various fruits, some vegetables and beverages.Increasing evidence has shown that dietary intake of proanthocyanidins is a promising alternative to tumor chemoprevention or chemotherapy.Grape seeds are the most abundant source of proanthocyanidins, and grape seed proanthocyanidins(GSPs)show an anticancer effect on hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),which accounts for approximately 85-90%of all primary liver malignancies.Although an increasing number of studies have investigated the effects of GSPs on HCC and the associated mechanisms, the precise mechanism of GSP therapy in HCC remains unclear. This study aimed to understand the cytotoxic effect of GSPs on HepG2 cells by investigating morphology and growth inhibition.Cell proliferation and apoptosis were estimated by an MTT assay and flow cytometry, and the protein expression of HepG2 cells was determined through Western blotting. The results indicated that GSPs could markedly inhibit HepG2 liver cancer cells and induce apoptosis, with the effects varying by dose and treatment time.Furthermore,GSPs inhibited the phosphorylation of extracellular regulated protein kinases(ERK),c-Jun NH2-terminal kinase(JNK),p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(p38 MAPK),IκBα,pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase 1(PDK1),glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta(GSK3β)and protein kinase B(AKT),which accounted for the inactivation of mitogen-activated protein kinase/AKT(MAPK/AKT)pathways.These results indicate that GSPs are a potential source of natural chemopreventive agents for the treatment of HCC. | Wancai Zheng a Yujing Feng Yujia Bai Zuoshan Feng Xijuan Yang Bin Dang Ming Xiao Jianmei Zhang Sheng-Qiang Han | 2022 | Food Bioscience2022,45,1: | 1

Microstructural Features of Garnets in Jadeite Quartzite from Dabie Mountains, China显示文摘Garnet is an important rock forming mineral of high pressure and ultrahigh pressure metamorphic rocks. Its popular isomorphism complicates its chemical composition and crystal structure. The selected area electron diffraction (SAED) and the high resolution electron microscopy (HREM) are used in this work to study the microstructures and ultrastructures of garnets in the jadeite quartzite from Dabie Mountains, China. The microstructures of the garnet occur mainly as free dislocations, dislocation walls, stacking faults, dislocation networks and sub grain boundaries. The dislocation density is ρ=n ×10 8/cm 2 ( n =1.7—7.5) and the deformation mechanism is the dislocation glide and dynamic recovery. The superstructures of the garnet crystal revealed by HREM occur mainly as dislocations, faults, domain structures and lattice deformations, indicating the strong stress during the formation of the jadeite quartzite. | Wu Xiuling Mou Tao Han Yujing Test Center, China University of Geosciences, Wuhan 430074, China Li Douxing Laboratory of Atomic Imaging of Solid, Institute of Metal Research, Academia Sinica, Shenyang 110015, China | 2000 | Journal of Earth Science2000,19,3: | 1
