| 4 | Variation,inheritance and correlation of growth characteristics of Populus deltoides Bartr.at various ages in the central-plain region of Punjab,India显示文摘The growth performance of twenty poplar(Populus deltoides Bartr.) clones,planted in the central-plain region of Punjab in north-western India,was evaluated using a randomized block design with three replications and plot size of four plants.Significant differences among clones were observed for diameter at breast height(DBH),height and volume per tree at age five,six and eight years.Clone L-48/89 recorded significantly superior volume than the control(G-48) at all ages,with superiority of 51.4,43.9 and 48.5 per cent at age five,six and eight years,respectively.The phenotypic and genotypic coefficients of variation were the highest for volume(26.55-34.66% and 15.84-26.00%) and the minimum for tree height(8.43-12.13% and 4.71-7.59%).The broad sense heritability was relatively higher for DBH(0.42-0.55) and genetic advance as per cent of mean was highest for volume(19.48-40.18).All genetic parameters increased with age.All traits showed significant positive correlation with each other. | Gurvinder Pal Singh DHILLON Avtar SINGH Dalbar Singh SIDHU | 2010 | Forestry Studies in China2010，12，3： | 1 |

| 6 | Development and optimization of nanoemulsion gel for topical delivery of imiquimod显示文摘In the present study,we aimed to formulate,optimize and characterize nanoemulsion-based gel of imiquimod for its topical administration and to improve the drug permeation.Nanoemulsions were prepared by the aqueous phase titration method and spontaneously formed by mixing specific fractions of oil phase:Smix:water.The nanoemulsion formulations were optimized by response surface methodology(RSM) using mixture design,Scheffe model.The formulated nanoemulsion was incorporated into 0.5% Carbopol 934(w/v) to enhance convenience in superficial application of the drug.The nanoemulsions were characterized in terms of droplet size,zeta potential,TEM,DSC and in vitro drug permeation.The vesicle size was 113.6 nm with polydispersity index of 0.251.The zeta potential was 34 m V.The spherical droplet shape was confirmed by TEM analysis.The drug permeation from the diffusion membrane was 73.67% in 6 h for the optimized formulation.An optimized nanoemulsion gel formulation of imiquimod was successfully developed with improved permeation using experimental design technique.The developed formulation could be further explored as a potential alternate to currently available topical formulations for the treatment of genital warts. | Gurvinder Kaur Tanurajvir Kaur Deepak N.Kapoor | 2018 | Journal of Chinese Pharmaceutical Sciences2018，27，1： | 1 |

| 20 | QoS-Aware Energy-Efficient Task Scheduling on HPC Cloud Infrastructures Using Swarm-Intelligence Meta-Heuristics显示文摘Cloud computing infrastructure has been evolving as a cost-effective platform for providing computational resources in the form of high-performance computing as a service(HPCaaS)to users for executing HPC applications.However,the broader use of the Cloud services,the rapid increase in the size,and the capacity of Cloud data centers bring a remarkable rise in energy consumption leading to a significant rise in the system provider expenses and carbon emissions in the environment.Besides this,users have become more demanding in terms of Quality-of-service(QoS)expectations in terms of execution time,budget cost,utilization,and makespan.This situation calls for the design of task scheduling policy,which ensures efficient task sequencing and allocation of computing resources to tasks to meet the trade-off between QoS promises and service provider requirements.Moreover,the task scheduling in the Cloud is a prevalent NP-Hard problem.Motivated by these concerns,this paper introduces and implements a QoS-aware Energy-Efficient Scheduling policy called as CSPSO,for scheduling tasks in Cloud systems to reduce the energy consumption of cloud resources and minimize the makespan of workload.The proposed multi-objective CSPSO policy hybridizes the search qualities of two robust metaheuristics viz.cuckoo search(CS)and particle swarm optimization(PSO)to overcome the slow convergence and lack of diversity of standard CS algorithm.A fitness-aware resource allocation(FARA)heuristic was developed and used by the proposed policy to allocate resources to tasks efficiently.A velocity update mechanism for cuckoo individuals is designed and incorporated in the proposed CSPSO policy.Further,the proposed scheduling policy has been implemented in the CloudSim simulator and tested with real supercomputing workload traces.The comparative analysis validated that the proposed scheduling policy can produce efficient schedules with better performance over other well-known heuristics and meta-heuristics scheduling policies. | Amit Chhabra Gurvinder Singh Karanjeet Singh Kahlon | 2020 | Computers, Materials & Continua2020，，8： | 0 |
