2Standard pancreatoduodenectomy versus extended pancreatoduodenectomy with modified retroperitoneal nerve resection in patients with pancreatic head cancer:a multicenter randomized controlled trial显示文摘Background:The extent of pancreatoduodenectomy for pancreatic head cancer remains controversial,and more high-level clinical evidence is needed.This study aimed to evaluate the outcome of extended pancreatoduodenectomy(EPD)with retroperitoneal nerve resection in pancreatic head cancer.Methods:This multicenter randomized trial was performed at 6 Chinese highvolume hospitals that enrolled patients between October 3,2012,and September 21,2017.Four hundred patients with stage I or II pancreatic head cancer and without specific pancreatic cancer treatments(preoperative chemotherapy or chemoradiation)within three months were randomly assigned to undergo standard pancreatoduodenectomy(SPD)or EPD,with the latter followed by dissection of additional lymph nodes(LNs),nerves and soft tissues 270◦on the right side surrounding the superior mesenteric artery and celiac axis.The primary endpoint was overall survival(OS)by intention-to-treat(ITT).The secondary endpoints were disease-free survival(DFS),mortality,morbidity,and postoperative pain intensity.Results:TheR1 ratewas slightly lower with EPD(8.46%)thanwith SPD(12.56%).The morbidity and mortality rates were similar between the two groups.The median OS was similar in the EPD and SPD groups by ITT in the whole study cohort(23.0 vs.20.2 months,P=0.100),while the median DFS was superior in the EPD group(16.1 vs.13.2 months,P=0.031).Patients with preoperative CA19–9<200.0 U/mL had significantly improved OS and DFS with EPD(EPD vs.SPD,30.8 vs.20.9 months,P=0.009;23.4 vs.13.5 months,P<0.001).The EPD group exhibited significantly lower locoregional(16.48%vs.35.20%,P<0.001)andmesenteric LNrecurrence rates(3.98%vs.10.06%,P=0.022).The EPD group exhibited less back pain 6 months postoperation than the SPD group.Conclusions:EPD for pancreatic head cancer did not significantly improve OS,but patients with EPD treatment had significantly improved DFS.In the subgroup analysis,improvements in bothOS and DFS in the EPD armwere observed in patients with preoperative CA19–9<200.0 U/mL.EPD could be used as an effective surgical procedure for patients with pancreatic head cancer,especially those with preoperative CA19–9<200.0 U/mL.Qing Lin Shangyou Zheng Xianjun Yu Meifu Chen Yu Zhou Quanbo Zhou Chonghui Hu Jing Gu Zhongdong Xu LinWang Yimin Liu Qingyu Liu MinWang Guolin Li He Cheng Dongkai Zhou Guodong Liu Zhiqiang Fu Yu Long Yixiong Li Weilin Wang Renyi Qin Zhihua Li Rufu Chen 2023Cancer Communications2023,43,2:3

5Water Vapor Transport Related to the Interdecadal Shift of Summer Precipitation over Northern East Asia in the Late 1990s显示文摘In this study, an interdecadal shift of summer precipitation over northern East Asia(NEA) was identified, demonstrating that summer precipitation decreased abruptly after 1998/99. The synchronous shift in summer moisture budget and water vapor transport over NEA was further investigated by using the NCEP/NCAR reanalysis data. The results indicate that water vapor transported northward into NEA from three low-latitude paths was limited because most water vapor was transported eastward. Water vapor transported from the westerly path in mid–high(WMH) latitudes exhibited significant correlations with summer precipitation in NEA and experienced a significant adjustment in the late 1990s. Regarding the spatial distributions of water vapor transport, less input was found through the western boundary while more output occurred through the eastern boundary of NEA, and zonal water vapor transport fluxes mainly concentrated at the low to middle levels, which led to the summer precipitation shift in NEA around the late 1990s. Furthermore, it is also confirmed that the wind anomalies(rather than the moisture disturbance) as the dominant internal dynamic factor and Pacific Decadal Oscillation/Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation(PDO/AMO) as possible external force played important roles in influencing the water vapor transport and causing the summer precipitation shift over NEA in the late 1990s.Po HU Minghao WANG Liu YANG Xiaojuan WANG Guolin FENG 2018Journal of Meteorological Research2018,32,5:1

8De Haas–van Alphen study on three-dimensional topological semimetal pyrite PtBi2显示文摘We present the systematic de Haas–van Alphen(d Hv A) quantum oscillations studies on the recently discovered topological Dirac semimetal pyrite PtBi2 single crystals. Remarkable d Hv A oscillations are emerged at a low field about 1.5 T. From the analyses of the d Hv A oscillations, we extract the high quantum mobilities, light effective masses and phase shift factors for the Dirac fermions in pyrite PtBi2. 9Joint Effect of East Asia-Pacific and Eurasian Teleconnections on the Summer Precipitation in North Asia显示文摘The East Asia-Pacific(EAP)and Eurasian(EU)teleconnections are independent of each other on the seasonal timescale(with a correlation coefficient of only 0.03).But they may occur concurrently with consistent or opposite phases.This paper investigates their synergistic effect on the summer precipitation in North Asia.Based on the signs/phases of EAP and EU indices,the EAP and EU teleconnection anomalies occur in four cases:(Ⅰ)positive EAP+positive EU,(Ⅱ)negative EAP+negative EU,(Ⅲ)positive EAP+negative EU,and(Ⅳ)negative EAP+positive EU.Further analyses show that these four configurations of EAP and EU anomalies are coherently related to different atmospheric circulations over the midlatitude Eurasian continent,leading to different summer precipitation modes in North Asia.CategoryⅠ(Ⅱ)corresponds to a zonal tripole structure of the geopotential height at 500 hPa over eastern Europe and the Sea of Japan,leading to less(more)than normal precipitation in eastern Europe,Japan,and the surrounding areas,and more(less)precipitation from central China to Lake Baikal and eastern Russia.CategoryⅢ(Ⅳ)corresponds to a meridional dipole structure of the geopotential height at 500 hPa over North Asia,leading to more(less)precipitation in the northern North Asia and less(more)precipitation in most of the southern North Asia.Independent analysis reveals that the EAP teleconnection itself is positively correlated with the precipitation in the region between the eastern part of Lake Baikal and Okhotsk Sea,and negatively correlated with the precipitation in the region between Northeast China and Japan.Coincidently,the EU pattern and precipitation have negative correlations in Ural Mountain and Okhotsk Sea areas and positive correlations in the Lake Baikal area.The respective relations of EAP and EU with the summer precipitation in North Asia suggest that the EAP northern lobe overlapped with the EU central and eastern lobes could extend the geopotential anomalies over Lake Baikal to Russian Far East,creating an EAP-EU synergistic effect on the summer precipitation in North Asia.Po HU Guolin FENG Muhammad Mubashar DOGAR Jianbo CHENG Zhiqiang GONG 2020Journal of Meteorological Research2020,34,3:0
10Engineering of electrospun nanofiber scaffolds for repairing brain injury显示文摘Patients with brain injury can suffer disability and accompanying complications.Current clinical treatments have significant limitations to successful repair due to the complexity of the pathological processes and the inhibitory microenvironment that follows brain injury.Here,we conclude recent research progresses in engineering strate-gies based on electrospun nanofibers for promoting neural repair and functional recovery after brain injury.Firstly,we introduce the main pathological mechanisms of current brain injuries,pointing out the prospect of the application of electrospun nanofiber scaffolds compared to current clinical treatment strategies.We then discuss the repair strategies combining the structure and the morphology of nanofiber scaffolds with load therapeutic factors such as cells,drugs and growth factors.All of these strategies show potential for improving the repair of brain injury.Finally,we point out the challenges facing the effective treatment of brain injury,aiming to provide insights into the development of repairing scaffolds for brain function recovery from the perspective of clinical treatment.Wenzhe Du Tong Wang Shuyun Hu Jixin Luan Feng Tian Guolin Ma Jiajia Xue 2023Engineered Regeneration2023,4,3:0

12Experimental study of kidney protective effects of sanhuangshaoshangling on severe burn rats in shock stage显示文摘Objective:To observe the protective effects and mechanisms of topical Chinese medicine on kidneys of severe burns shock rats.Methods:Blood urea nitrogen(Bun),creatinine(Cr),myeloperoxidase(MPO),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and inter-leukin(IL-6),were checked by the time points of 8,24,48 hours.Blood tests,ELISA and other methods were used for these texts.Results:Compared with the povidone-iodine group,the levels of Bun and Cr were declined apparently in the Sanhuang group,and the activity of MPO was decreased as well.Conclusions:Sanhuangshaoshangling,taking ointment as matrix,can be externally applied to wounds.It contains some ef-fective ingredients which can clear heat-toxicity and promote blood circulation for removing blood stasis,and prevents wounds from the stimulation of the air to nerve endings and the invasion of bacteria.It can also inhibit bacteria from parasitizing,grow-ing,reproducing on the wound.Sanhuangshaoshangling helps blood circulation and facilitates the growth of tissues to inactivate the toxicity or reduce toxin by changing the structure of endotoxin after uptake into tissues.It can protect viscera by reducing the release of endotoxin,facilitating the excretion of endotoxin and weakening or eliminating the effects of TNF-αand IL-6.Guolin Hu Lingfeng Wang Bo Feng 2016Discussion of Clinical Cases2016,3,3:0
13Effect of solid particle type,concentration and size on DC breakdown voltage of short needle-plate air gap:An experiment and simulation study显示文摘Unclean air discharge refers to the discharge phenomenon of a large number of polluting gases,droplets or solid particles floating in the air,which will cause insulation breakdown and safety accidents for the power transmission equipment that have been left outdoors for a long time.In order to investigate the effects of particle concentration,particle size and dielectric constant on DC breakdown characteristics of unclean air gap,a self-made discharge chamber was designed in this study.The air was filtered and passed into the discharge chamber to remove the influence of impurities contained in the air on the experimental results.Then,solid particles with different concentration,particle size and particle dielectric constant were added to the discharge chamber to carry out the DC positive polarity breakdown characteristic experiment.The experimental results show that compared with dry clean air,the presence of solid particle increases the breakdown voltage of the gap,and the increase proportion of breakdown voltage is related to the particle concentration,particle size and particle dielectric constant.With the same particle type and particle size,the increase proportion of breakdown voltage increases with the higher concentration,which up to 10.49%.For further investigating,the fluid mechanics model was selected to simulate the process of streamer discharge in unclean air.The results show that compared with dry clean air,the presence of particles enhances the gap discharge ionisation process,but also enhances the adsorption of particles,and the latter has stronger effect than the former,thus increases the gap breakdown voltage.At the same time,the enhancement of adsorption effect increases the electric field intensity of the gap and speeds up the development process of streamer discharge.Guolin Yang Xingliang Jiang Jianlin Hu Xiaodong Ren Tao Li Jianguo Wu Zhijin Zhang Qin Hu Hualong Zheng 2023High Voltage2023,8,4:0
14High‐altitude tunnel‐catenary gap impulse discharge characteristics and breakdown voltage correction显示文摘Air gap impulse discharge characteristics of railway tunnel‐catenary at high‐altitude are of great significance to the electrical insulation design.The existing altitude correction methods for non‐uniform air gaps are not applicable to tunnel‐catenary.To investigate the impulse discharge characteristics of the tunnel‐catenary,a typical structural model was built in an artificial climate chamber.Different altitudes were simulated by adjusting the atmospheric pressure.The 50%breakdown voltages of the 300–700 mm tunnel‐catenary gap were tested at 243–4000 m.The test found that the altitude/atmospheric pressure and gap length have an evident effect on the 50%impulse breakdown voltage,and the influence of humidity is relatively small.The polarity effect was analysed by streamer theory.The{d,P,h}parameter method was employed to obtain the fitting formulas for the impulse breakdown voltage.A high‐altitude correction method for the tunnel‐catenary breakdown voltage based on 1 km altitude was proposed.Field natural tests were conducted to verify the accuracy of the proposed method.The results show that the breakdown voltage obtained by the correction method has an average error of 3.66%in the results of the field tests,indicating that the method has engineering application prospects.Yi Liao Xingliang Jiang Guolin Yang Jianlin Hu Zhijin Zhang Qin Hu Chen Tan Haitao Wu 2023High Voltage2023,8,6:0
15Variable stiffness wires based on magnetorheological liquid metals显示文摘Magnetorheological fluid(MRF)has shown its great potential in the development of large mechanical devices,such as dampers,shock absorbers,rotary brakes,clutches,and prosthetic joints.Recently,more research focus has been invested on using MRF to develop soft,stretchable,and miniaturized devices with variable stiffness for realizing functionalities that cannot be achieved using solid smart materials.Here,based on liquid metal magnetoactive slurries(LMMS),a variable stiffness wire with excellent electrical conductivity is demonstrated.Without exposure to a magnetic field,the LMMS wire has an extremely low stiffness,and can be easily stretched while maintaining an excellent electrical conductivity.When applying a magnetic field,the wire becomes much stiffer and can retain its shape even under a load.The combination of properties of flexibility,high electrical conductivity,and variable stiffness of the wire is harnessed to make a flexible gripper that can grasp objects of various shapes.Moreover,by using gallium instead of its liquid metal alloys,the tunable stiffness range of the LMMS wire is signifi-cantly enhanced and can be controlled using both external magnetic fields and temperature-induced phase change.The presented LMMS wire has the potential to be applied in flexible electronics,soft robotics and so on.Xiangbo Zhou Jian Shu Hu Jin Hongtai Ren Gang Ma Ning Gong Duan Ge Juan Shi Shi-Yang Tang Guolin Yun Hongda Lu Shuai Dong Xiangpeng Li Shiwu Zhang Weihua Li 2022International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials2022,13,2:0
