18Upper Bainite Formation Mechanism in Fe-1.36Si-1.01Cr-0.88C Steel显示文摘In this paper it is discussed on the mechanism of upper bainite formation. According to the results obtained in Fe-1.36Si-1.01Cr-0.88C steel, we discovered that the primary upper bainite is formed by subunits arranging along its long axis and steps are formed by subunits growing into different size along the thickness, the macro-plane of the primary upper bainite plate is the same as the basal plane (shear plane), the formation mechanism of the primary upper bainite plate is the nucleation-growth mechanism of subunits shearing one by one along long axis, controlled by diffusion.Liu, QS Peng, HF Gu, NJ 1998Journal of Materials Science & Technology1998,14,1:0
19Sintering Formation of Low Temperature Phase MnBi and Its Disordering in Mechanical Milling显示文摘With X-ray diffraction and DSC analysis, it is found that 4 cycles of sintering at 593 K are necessary for the complete production of the low-temperature phase (LTP) MnBi. The c/a of the fabricated LTP MnBi is 1.4286. Metastable phase MnBip formed in primary sintering stage of LTP MnBi has the similar crystal structure and lattice constant with the quenched high-temperature phase (HTP) Mn1.08Bi. The structural differences between MnBip phase and Mn1.08Bi phase are discussed. The LTP MnBi phase is unstable for strong mechanical milling as Bi appears after milling over 7200 s in the present milling condition. Strains caused by the mechanical attrition are difficult to accumulate in the MnBi crystaIs, and the crystal size of the milled MnBi is only 30 nm before the presence of grains coalescence. The whole milling process can be classified into 3 stages indicated by the structural changes. Based on the structural parameter calculation, the changes of atomic configurations in every stage have been discussed. 20QUEUEING NETWORK MODELING AND ANALYSIS IN THE DESIGN AND EVALUATION OF SEAPORT SYSTEMS显示文摘In this paper we apply networks of queues in the design and analysis of aseaport system. There are two types of ports, the deep water port and shallow waterport. The steamships arrive via the Pacific ocean according to a random process, andcan only enter the deep water port (due to the size of the ships). The finite capacityof the port, often results in long delays which is undsirable. To reduce this congestionproblem, ports authorities are considering constructing a platform (or dock) in a deepwater area on which some steamships can be first downloaded, and then the goods onthe platform are delivered and downloaded on the shallow water port by many small-sizeboats. This sytstem is modeled as a network of queues with finite buffers and blocking.We develop approximation methodology for analyzing queue delays, and apply it, in thedesign and optimization of the port systems.
