| 6 | The Bedbug Meta-heuristic Algorithm to Solve Optimization Problems显示文摘Small parasitic Hemipteran insects known as bedbugs(Cimicidae)feed on warm-blooded mammal’s blood. The most famous member of this family is the Cimex lectularius or common bedbug. The current paper proposes a novel swarm intelligence optimization algorithm called the Bedbug Meta-Heuristic Algorithm(BMHA).The primary inspiration for the bedbug algorithm comes from the static and dynamic swarming behaviors of bedbugs in nature. The two main stages of optimization algorithms, exploration, and exploitation, are designed by modeling bedbug social interaction to search for food. The proposed algorithm is benchmarked qualitatively and quantitatively using many test functions including CEC2019.The results of evaluating BMHA prove that this algorithm can improve the initial random population for a given optimization problem to converge towards global optimization and provide highly competitive results compared to other well-known optimization algorithms. The results also prove the new algorithm's performance in solving real optimization problems in unknown search spaces. To achieve this, the proposed algorithm has been used to select the features of fake news in a semi-supervised manner, the results of which show the good performance of the proposed algorithm in solving problems. | Kouroush Rezvani Ali Gaffari Mohammad Reza Ebrahimi Dishabi | 2023 | Journal of Bionic Engineering2023,20,5: | 0 |
| 7 | Effect of taxifolin on cold-shock damages in spermatozoa in rabbits显示文摘Objective:To investigate the effect of taxifolin added to rabbit semen on freezing-induced cold-shock damages in spermatozoa. Methods:Semen was collected from six adult New Zealand rabbits once a week by artificial vagina. The collected semen was pooled at 38℃ and divided into four equal volumes. They were diluted with 0,50,100 and 200μM taxifolin-containing Tris+egg yolk extender at 38℃ and their temperatures were lowered to 4℃.Following equilibration, semen drawn into 0.25 mL straws were frozen in an automatic semen freezing device and stored in liquid nitrogen container at-196℃.Samples were thawed in 38℃ water for 25 s and the analyses of motility, kinematic parameters, morphological deformities, changes in membrane integrity, mitochondrial membrane potential,dead-live ratio, acrosomal damages and as well as oxidative stress analyses were performed in semen. Results:Addition of 50μM taxifolin significantly improved motility(total, progressive, rapid and static),high mitochondrial membrane potential and the ratios of spermatozoa with acrosomal damage compared to the control group.Compared to the control group, malondialdehyde(MDA)levels in the 50 and 100μM taxifolin groups were significantly lower, while the MDA level was high and viable spermatozoa ratio was low in the 200μM taxifolin group. There were no significant differences between the groups in terms of kinematic parameters, morphological deformities, membrane integrity and antioxidant levels. Conclusions:The low dose of taxifolin(50μM)has a positive effect and the high dose(200μM)has a negative effect. Therefore,it is concluded that the addition of low-dose(50μM)taxifolin to the extenders would be a useful additive in reducing cold-shock damage that occurs during freezing of rabbit semen. | Irfan Yılmaz Gaffari Turk Aslıhan Cakir Cihangiroglu Tutku Can Acisu Ibrahim Halil Gungor GozdeArkali Edanur Guler Ekmen | 2023 | Asian pacific Journal of Reproduction2023,12,5: | 0 |
| 8 | Comparative repellency effect of three plant extracts on Paederus beetles(Coleoptera: Staphylinidae), the cause of linear dermatitis in Iran显示文摘Objective: To investigate the repellent effect of neem, juniper and eucalyptus extracts as a form of protection against Paederus beetles, which are a cause of linear dermatitis in Iran. Methods: After collecting and extracting plant samples, the extracts were tested on Paederus beetles in three concentrations(2.5%, 5.0% and 10.0%) with direct method under laboratory conditions. The data were analyzed using SPSS software(version 20).Results: The results indicated that there was a significant difference between neem with juniper and eucalyptus at the 2.5% and 5.0% concentrations(P < 0.05), whereas there was a significant difference between all three extracts at the 10.0% concentration(P < 0.05).Conclusions: This is the first report on the repellent effect of these three plant extracts on Paederus beetles. Neem oil appeared to have the largest effect on Paederus spp. and juniper essential oil exhibited the second highest repellency, followed by eucalyptus. | Dariush Gaffari Maryam Hakimi Parizi Abbas Aghaei Afshar Siavosh Tirgari | 2016 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2016,6,3: | 0 |
