2Chinese Tuina Downregulates the Elevated Levels of Tissue Plasminogen Activator in Sciatic Nerve Injured Sprague-Dawley Rats显示文摘Objective:To elucidate the mechanism of Chinese tuina in treating sciatic nerve crush injury,and to detect the levels of tissue plasminogen activator(t PA)and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1(PAI-1),which is thought to play an important role in nerve regeneration.Methods:Thirty-two adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were subjected to sciatic nerve crush injury and 16 rats(sham-operated group)went through a sham operation.Control group was given no treatment while tuina group received tuina therapy since day 7 post-surgery.Tuina treatment was performed once a day and lasted for 20 days.The sciatic functional index was examined every 5days during the treatment session.The rats'gastrocnemius muscles were evaluated for changes in mass and immunohistochemistry techniques were performed to detect the levels of tP A and PAI-1.Results:Tuina therapy improved the motor function of sciatic nerve injured rats(P<0.05),however,it did not increase muscle volume(P<0.05).Tuina downregulated the levels of t PA and PAI-1(P<0.05).Conclusions:The present study implies that tuina treatment could accelerate rehabilitation of peripheral nerve injury.PAN Fan YU Tian-yuan Steven Wong XIAN Si-tong LU Meng-qian WU Jian-cong GAO Yu-feng LI Xiao-qin GENG Nan YAO Bin-bin 2017Chinese Journal of Integrative Medicine2017,23,8:16
3MicroRNA-663 induces immune dysregulation by inhibiting TGF-β1 production in bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus显示文摘Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)are critical for immune regulation.Although several microRNAs(miRNAs)have been shown to participate in autoimmune pathogenesis by affecting lymphocyte development and function,the roles of miRNAs in MSC dysfunction in autoimmune diseases remain unclear.Here,we show that patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)display a unique miRNA signature in bone marrow-derived MSCs(BMSCs)compared with normal controls,among which miR-663 is closely associated with SLE disease activity.MiR-663 inhibits the proliferation and migration of BMSCs and impairs BMSC-mediated downregulation of follicular T helper(Tfh)cells and upregulation of regulatory T(Treg)cells by targeting transforming growth factorβ1(TGF-β1).MiR-663 overexpression weakens the therapeutic effect of BMSCs,while miR-663 inhibition improves the remission of lupus disease in MRL/lpr mice.Thus,miR-663 is a key mediator of SLE BMSC regulation and may serve as a new therapeutic target for the treatment of lupus.Linyu Geng Xiaojun Tang Kangxing Zhou Dandan Wang Shiying Wang Genhong Yao Weiwei Chen Xiang Gao Wanjun Chen Songtao Shi Nan Shen Xuebing Feng Lingyun Sun 2019Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,3:16

7Vesicular Li3V2(PO4)3/C hollow mesoporous microspheres as an efficient cathode material for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Vesicular lithium vanadium phosphate/carbon hollow mesoporous microspheres were fabricated using a facile polyvinylpyrrolidone-assisted aerosol-spray-assisted method and subsequent heat-treatment. While changing the content of polyvinylpyrrolidone, we found that carbon content was adjustable on the surface of lithium vanadium phosphate. By optimizing the carbon content among the composites, the electrochemical performance can be enhanced significantly. The results of electrochemical performance tests suggested that the samples exhibited good cycle performance and high discharge capability in the voltages between 3.0-4.8 V. 9First experimental constraints on WIMP couplings in the effective field theory framework from CDEX显示文摘We present weakly interacting massive particles(WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment(CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level(C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low mχregion. In the chiral effective field theory approach, data from CDEX-10 were used to set an upper limit on WIMP-pion coupling at 90% C.L. 10Open N-doped carbon coated porous molybdenum phosphide nanorods for synergistic catalytic hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘Molybdenum phosphide is a potential hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)catalyst.However,traditional high-temperature phosphating preparation methods are prone to damage of material morphology and agglomeration.Using the carbon skeleton to limit the size and morphology of MoP and to improve the conductivity of the material is an effective method to improve the performance of the catalyst.However,there is a lack of research on the effect of carbon skeleton and MoP composite structure on the catalytic mechanism of HER.We coated ZIF-8 on the surface of MoP nanorods,and obtained open N-doped carbon-coated porous MoP nanorods(N/C/MoP)through carbonization and phosphating.Studies have shown that the ZIF-8 coating effectively limits the size and morphology of the material and avoids agglomeration.Under alkaline conditions,N/C/MoP has a low overpotential of 169 mV for HER at 10 mA/cm2,which is 55 mV lower than MoP without a carbon layer.At the same time,its Tafel slope(51.3 mV/dec)is smaller than Pt/C(59.9 mV/dec),and it has good stability.Density functional theory(DFT)studies have shown that under alkaline conditions,there is a synergistic effect between the open N-doped carbon layer and the exposed MoP active surface,which reduces the activation energy of water and improves the catalytic performance of HER.It is worth noting that a tight coating will hinder the exposure of active sites and reduce catalytic activity.Chao Wang Wen Li Xiaodan Wang Nan Yu Hongxia Sun Baoyou Geng 2022Nano Research2022,15,3:3
11Trending IC design directions in 2022显示文摘For the non-stop demands for a better and smarter society, the number of electronic devices keeps increasing exponentially;and the computation power, communication data rate, smart sensing capability and intelligence are always not enough. Hardware supports software, while the integrated circuit(IC) is the core of hardware. In this long review paper, we summarize and discuss recent trending IC design directions and challenges, and try to give the readers big/cool pictures on each selected small/hot topics. 12Distribution characteristics and its controlling factor of lacustrine high-quality source rocks in the Bozhong sag,Bohai Bay Basin显示文摘Distribution of Paleogene lacustrine high-quality source rocks in the Bozhong sag in Bohai Bay Basin is analyzed through data of geochemistry,geology and well logging,and its differences under the control of climate and tectonics is also well discussed.Distribution characteristics of the high-quality source rocks developed in the saline environment controlled by the climate are quite different from that developed in the rapid subsidence environment controlled by tectonics.The high-quality source rocks in Member 1 of Shahejie Formation developed in the saline environment account for 81.9%of total subsag area,and are distributed widely and extensively.The high-quality source rocks in Member 3 of Shahejie Formation and Member 3 of Dongying Formation is developed in the tectonic subsidence environment,and horizontally,the subsag subsidence rates has a positive correlation with the area proportion of the high-quality source rocks in the sag;vertically,the reduction-oxidation interface of the lake controls the enrichment of highquality source rocks.Controlled by the saline environment and rapid subsidence environment,the highquality source rocks in the Bozhong sag and adjacent areas have three types of development condition:the saline water,the tectonic subsidence,and joint control of the saline water and the tectonic subsidence.The humid climate and low subsidence rate are not favorable for development of high-quality source rocks.Hefeng Sun Lifang Liu Xue Jiang Shengbing Huang Mingyang Geng Shaoping Chen Nan Li Pu Shen 2019Petroleum Research2019,4,3:3

14Synchronous constructing ion channels and confined space of Co_(3)O_(4) anode for high-performance lithium-ion batteries显示文摘The yolk–shell structure has a unique advantage in lithium-ion batteries applications due to its ability to effectively buffer the volume expansion of the lithiation/delithiation process.However,its development is limited by the low contact point between the core and shell.Herein,we propose a general strategy of simultaneous construction of sufficient reserved space and multicontinuous active channels by pyrolysis of two carbon substrates.A double-shell structure consisting of Co_(3)O_(4) anchored to hollow carbon sphere and external self-supporting zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF)layer was constructed by spray pyrolysis and additional carbon coating in-situ growth.In the process of high-temperature calcination,the carbon and nitrogen layers between the shells separate,creating additional space,while the Co_(3)O_(4) particles between the shells remain are still in close contact to form continuous and fast electron conduction channels,which can realize better charge transfer.Due to the synergy of these design principles,the material has ultra-high initial discharge capacities of 2,183.1 mAh·g^(−1) at 0.2 A·g^(−1) with capacity of 1,121.36 mAh·g^(−1) after 250 cycles,the long-term capacities retention rate is about 92.4%after 700 cycles at 1 A·g^(−1).This unique channel-type double-shell structure fights a way out to prepare novel electrode materials with high performance.Yan Zhou Chao Wang Feiran Chen Tingjuan Wang Yaoyao Ni Hongxia Sun Nan Yu Baoyou Geng 2022Nano Research2022,15,7:2
15Changes in speciation,mobility and bioavailability of Cd,Cr and As during the transformation process of pig manure by black soldier fly larvae(Hermetia illucens)显示文摘The black soldier fly larvae(BSFL)(Hermetia illucens)are a good candidate for poultry and livestock manure treatment.The harvested insect bodies and feces can be used as animal feed and organic fertilizer.However,heavy metals have a negative impact on the transformation process of the manure by BSFL.Here we evaluated the effects of Cd,Cr and As in pig manure on the growth of BSFL,as well as the mobility and changes in speciation of the metals during the transformation process.The results showed that As significantly reduced the weight of BSFL,but Cr and Cd had no significant effects on BSFL growth.The bioaccumulation factors(BAFs)at various concentrations of Cd(2.8–3.7)were significantly higher than those of Cr(0.44–0.62)and As(0.43–0.45).The heavy metals in pig manure were mainly transferred to BSFL feces,and the distribution percentages of Cd,Cr and As in the BSFL feces were 52.6–62.0%,90.3–94.2%and 93.0–93.3%,respectively.Cd concentrations in BSFL feces were significantly lower than those in the pig manure,while there were no significant differences in the concentrations of Cr and As between BSFL feces and pig manure(except for the treatment with the addition of 150 mg Cr kg^(–1)).The metal speciation(weak acid soluble,reducible,oxidizable and residual fractions)in BSFL feces obviously changed when compared with pig manure.In BSFL feces,the reducible proportion of Cr decreased while the oxidizable proportion increased.Cd mainly existed in the weak acid soluble and reducible states in pig manure and BSFL feces.For As,the proportions of weak acid soluble and reducible states decreased in BSFL feces.After the BSFL transformation process,the bioavailable fraction of Cr decreased by 17.3–23.1%,but those of Cd and As did not change significantly,except for As in the CK group.These findings contribute to our understanding of the roles of BSFL during the biotransformation process of livestock manure as well as the safe utilization of transformed products.WANG Xiao-bo WU Nan CAI Rui-jie GENG Wei-na XU Xiao-yan 2021Journal of Integrative Agriculture2021,20,5:2

17Iron-based and BRD_(4)-downregulated strategy for amplified ferroptosis based on pH-sensitive/NIR-Ⅱ-boosted nano-matchbox显示文摘Ferroptosis(FPT),a novel form of programmed cell death,is characterized by overwhelming iron/reactive oxygen species(ROS)-dependent accumulation of lipid peroxidation(LPO).However,the insufficiency of endogenous iron and ROS level limited the FPT therapeutic efficacy to a large extent.To overcome this obstacle,the bromodomain-containing protein 4(BRD_(4))-inhibitor(+)-JQ1(JQ1)and iron-supplement ferric ammonium citrate(FAC)-loaded gold nanorods(GNRs)are encapsulated into the zeolitic imidazolate framework-8(ZIF-8)to form matchbox-like GNRs@JF/ZIF-8 for the amplified FPT therapy.The existence of matchbox(ZIF-8)is stable in physiologically neutral conditions but degradable in acidic environment,which could prevent the loaded agents from prematurely reacting.Moreover,GNRs as the drug-carriers induce the photothermal therapy(PTT)effect under the irradiation of near-infraredⅡ(NIR-Ⅱ)light owing to the absorption by localized surface plasmon resonance(LSPR),while the hyperthermia also boosts the JQ1 and FAC releasing in the tumor microenvironment(TME).On one hand,the FAC-induced Fenton/Fenton-like reactions in TME can simultaneously generate iron(Fe^(3+)/Fe^(2+))and ROS to initiate the FPT treatment by LPO elevation.On the other hand,JQ1 as a small molecule inhibitor of BRD_(4)protein can amplify FPT through downregulating the expression of glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4),thus inhibiting the ROS elimination and leading to the LPO accumulation.Both in vitro and in vivo studies reveal that this p H-sensitive nano-matchbox achieves obvious suppression of tumor growth with good biosafety and biocompatibility.As a result,our study points out a PTT combined iron-based/BRD_(4)-downregulated strategy for amplified ferrotherapy which also opens the door of future exploitation of ferrotherapy systems.Lujing Geng Tong Lu Huaqing Jing Yue Zhou Xiaoyang Liang Jiao Li Nan Li 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,2:1
