1Cardiac rehabilitation and its essential role in the secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases显示文摘Cardiovascular diseases are the most common causes of mortality worldwide.They are frequently the reasons for patient hospitalization,their incapability for work,and disability.These diseases represent a significant socio-economic burden affecting the medical system as well as patients and their families.It has been demonstrated that the etiopathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases is significantly affected by lifestyle,and so modification of the latter is an essential component of both primary and secondary prevention.Cardiac rehabilitation(CR)represents an efficient secondary prevention model that is especially based on the positive effect of regular physical activity.This review presents an overview of basic information on CR with a focus on current trends,such as the issue of the various training modalities,utilization,and barriers to it or the use of telemedicine technologies.Appropriate attention should be devoted to these domains,as CR continues evolving as an effective and readily available intervention in the future.Petr Winnige Robert Vysoky Filip Dosbaba Ladislav Batalik 2021World Journal of Clinical Cases2021,9,8:8

8Molecular engineering of Y-series acceptors for nonfullerene organic solar cells显示文摘The power conversion efficiencies(PCEs)of single-junction organic solar cells(OSCs)have surpassed 19%,owing to the emerging Y-series nonfullerene acceptors(NFAs).Undoubtedly,the power and flexibility of chemical design has been a strong driver for this rapid efficiency improvement in the OSC field.Over the course of the past 3 years,a variety of modifications have been made to the structure of the Y6 acceptor,and a large number of Y-series NFAs have been reported to further improve performance.Herein,we present our insights into the rationale behind the Y6 acceptor and discuss the design principles toward high-performance Y-series NFAs.It is clear that structural modifications through choice of heteroatom,soluble chains,πspacers,central cores,and end groups alter the material characteristics and properties,contributing to distinctive photovoltaic performance.Subsequently,we analyze various design strategies of Y-series-containing materials,including polymerized small-molecule acceptors(PSMA),non-fused-ring acceptors(NFRA),and all-fused-ring acceptors(AFRA).This review is expected to be of value in providing effective molecular design strategies for high-performance NFAs in future innovations.Qiao He Petr Ufimkin Filip Aniés Xiantao Hu Panagiota Kafourou Martina Rimmele Charlotte L.Rapley Bowen Ding 2022SusMat2022,2,5:0
9The ghost of past climate acting on present-day plant diversity:Lessons from a climate-based delimitation of the tropical alpine ecosystem显示文摘Habitat stability is important for maintaining biodiversity by preventing species extinction,but this stability is being challenged by climate change.The tropical alpine ecosystem is currently one of the ecosystems most threatened by global warming,and the flora close to the permanent snow line is at high risk of extinction.The tropical alpine ecosystem,found in South and Central America,Malesia and Papuasia,Africa,and Hawaii,is of relatively young evolutionary age,and it has been exposed to changing climates since its origin,particularly during the Pleistocene.Estimating habitat loss and gain between the Last Glacial Maximum(LGM)and the present allows us to relate current biodiversity to past changes in climate and habitat stability.In order to do so,(i)we developed a unifying climate-based delimitation of tropical alpine regions across continents,and(ii)we used this delimitation to assess the degree of habitat stability,that is,the overlap of suitable areas between the LGM and the present,in different tropical alpine regions.Finally,we discuss the link between habitat stability and tropical alpine plant diversity.Our climate-based delimitation approach can be easily applied to other ecosystems using our developed code,facilitating macro-comparative studies of habitat dynamics through time.Martha Kandziora Juan M.Gorospe Luciana Salomon Diana L.A.Vasquez Maria Pinilla Vargas Filip Kolar Petr Sklenar Roswitha Schmickl 2024Journal of Systematics and Evolution2024,62,2:0
