1Corrosion resistance properties of AZ31 magnesium alloy after Ti ion implantation显示文摘Magnesium alloys have a wide range of applications in industry; however, their corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and hardness are rather poor, which limit their applications. Ti ion was implanted into the AZ31 magnesium alloy surface by metal vapor vacuum arc (MEVVA) implanter. This metal arc ion source has a broad beam and high current capabilities. The implantation energy was fixed at 45 keV and the dose was at 9 × 1017 cm?2. Through ion implantation, Ti ion implantation layer with approximately 900 nm in thickness was directly formed on the surface of AZ31 magnesium alloy, by which its surface property greatly improved. The chemical states of some typical elements of the ion implantation layer were analyzed by means of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), while the cross sectional morphology of the ion im-plantation layer and the phase structure were observed by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The property of corrosion resistance of the Ti ion implanted layer was studied by the CS300P electrochemistry corrosion workstation in 3.5% NaCl solution. 2Effects of rapid quenching on structure and cycle stability of La-Mg-Ni-Co type hydrogen storage alloy显示文摘In order to improve the cycle stability of La-Mg-Ni-Co type alloy electrode, rapid quenching technology was employed. The effects of rapid quenching on the microstructure and cycle stability of the alloy were investigated. The obtained results show that the La2Mg(Ni0.85Co0.15)9M0.1 (M=B, Cr) alloy electrodes are composed of (La, Mg)Ni3 phase, LaNi5 phase and a small amount of the LaNi2 phase. A trace of the Ni2B phase exists in the as-cast MB alloy, and the Ni2B phase in the alloy nearly disappears after rapid quenching. Rapid quenching technology can slightly improve the cycling life of the alloy. When the quenching rate increases from 0 m·s-1 (As-cast is defined as quenching rate of 0 m·s-1) to 30 m·s-1, the cycle lives of the MB, MCr alloys enhance from 86 and 87 cycles to 106 and 119 cycles, respectively. 3Extracellular vesicles: novel vehicles in herpesvirus infection显示文摘Herpesviruses are remarkable pathogens that have evolved multiple mechanisms to evade host immunity, ensuring their proliferation and egress. Among these mechanisms, herpesviruses utilize elaborate extracellular vesicles, including exosomes, for the intricate interplay between infected host and recipient cells. Herpesviruses incorporate genome expression products and direct cellular products into exosomal cargoes. These components alter the content and function of exosomes released from donor cells, thus affecting the downstream signalings of recipient cells. In this way, herpesviruses hijack exosomal pathways to ensure their survival and persistence, and exosomes are emerging as critical mediators for virus infection-associated intercellular communication and microenvironment alteration. 4Recent advances in the study of Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus replication and pathogenesis显示文摘It has now been over twenty years since a novel herpesviral genome was identified in Kaposi's sarcoma biopsies. Since then, the cumulative research effort by molecular biologists, virologists, clinicians, and epidemiologists alike has led to the extensive characterization of this tumor virus, Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus(KSHV; also known as human herpesvirus 8(HHV-8)), and its associated diseases. Here we review the current knowledge of KSHV biology and pathogenesis, with a particular emphasis on new and exciting advances in the field of epigenetics. 5Defects in CVDZnS显示文摘Defects seriously influence the optical properties and mechanical properties of CVDZnS.The deposition technique was introduced and experiment methods such as SEM,TEM and OM were adopted to study the defects:hexagonal phase,abnormally large grains,micro-cracks,micro-pores and impurities.The microstructures of these defects were observed,and the formation mechanisms of these defects were analyzed.Hexagonal ZnS as an impurity causes anisotropy in different directions with different refraction indexes and increases the scattering of CVDZnS.Increasing the deposition temperature can inhibit the formation of the hexagonal phase.The main reason for the growth of abnormally large grains in CVDZnS is high deposition rate.The lower deposition temperature increases growth stress in CVDZnS,which consequently results in the bowing of CVDZnS plates,and introduces microscopic defects such as grain blending and micro-cracks in the crystal.Micro-pores and impurities are induced by high reactant concentration in the local deposition chamber,which can be avoided by improving the gas flowing so as to make the concentration more uniform.FU Ligang LU Fanxiu WANG Xuewu WEI Naiguang 2011Rare Metals2011,30,4:3
6An enrichment model using regular health examination data for early detection of colorectal cancer显示文摘Objective: Challenges remain in current practices of colorectal cancer(CRC) screening, such as low compliance,low specificities and expensive cost. This study aimed to identify high-risk groups for CRC from the general population using regular health examination data.Methods: The study population consist of more than 7,000 CRC cases and more than 140,000 controls. Using regular health examination data, a model detecting CRC cases was derived by the classification and regression trees(CART) algorithm. Receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve was applied to evaluate the performance of models. The robustness and generalization of the CART model were validated by independent datasets. In addition, the effectiveness of CART-based screening was compared with stool-based screening.Results: After data quality control, 4,647 CRC cases and 133,898 controls free of colorectal neoplasms were used for downstream analysis. The final CART model based on four biomarkers(age, albumin, hematocrit and percent lymphocytes) was constructed. In the test set, the area under ROC curve(AUC) of the CART model was 0.88 [95%confidence interval(95% CI), 0.87-0.90] for detecting CRC. At the cutoff yielding 99.0% specificity, this model’s sensitivity was 62.2%(95% CI, 58.1%-66.2%), thereby achieving a 63-fold enrichment of CRC cases. We validated the robustness of the method across subsets of test set with diverse CRC incidences, aging rates, genders ratio, distributions of tumor stages and locations, and data sources. Importantly, CART-based screening had the higher positive predictive value(1.6%) than fecal immunochemical test(0.3%).Conclusions: As an alternative approach for the early detection of CRC, this study provides a low-cost method using regular health examination data to identify high-risk individuals for CRC for further examinations. 7Higher dietary protein increases growth performance,anti-oxidative enzymes activity and transcription of heat shock protein 70 in the juvenile sea urchin(Strongylocentrotus intermedius)under a heat stress显示文摘This study was conducted to investigate the effect of dietary protein concentration(12%,18%,24%,30% and 36%)on the growth performance,activity of anti-oxidative enzymes and heat shock protein 70(HSP70)transcription in the sea urchin(Strongylocentrotus intermedius)under a heat stress.After 112 days of feeding trial the sea urchins were heat stressed(26C)and the coelomic fluid and intestine sampled at time 0 and 15 min,2 h and 6 h.The results showed that an increase in dietary protein(12%-24%),significantly increased(p<0.05)the sea urchin weight gain rate(WGR).As dietary protein increased(from 18% to 36%),the gonadosomatic index(GI)of juvenile sea urchins also significantly increased(p<0.05)from 18.0%to 22.6%.Superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity increased with dietary protein increase(12%-30%)and the enzyme activity was significantly higher(p<0.05)in the coelomic fluid of sea urchins that were fed with 30% diets when compared to 12% and 36% protein diets at all time points after the heat stress.Catalase(CAT)activity showed a similar tendency with the increase in dietary protein concentration at time 0 and 15 min after the heat stress(p<0.05).Transcription of HSP70 in the intestine also showed a similar trend to SOD and was highest in the animals that were fed with 30% protein diets(p<0.05).Our results suggest that 24% protein diets could meet the requirements for growth performance but a 30% protein diet resulted in improved gonad development and anti-heat stress capacity in this sea urchin species.Rantao Zuo Shouquan Hou Fanxiu Wu Jian Song Weijie Zhang Chong Zhao Yaqing Chang 2017Aquaculture and Fisheries2017,2,1:2
8Characterization of Low Pressure RF Plasma Heating显示文摘Compacts of a-Al2O3 and Mo powder were heated in radio-frequency (RF) induced low pressure N2, H2,Ar, and their mixture plasma. An optical pyrometer, a radiation pyrometer, and a system called Accufiber Model310 were used to measure the temperature of compacts heated in the plasma. The results indicate that there are different heat transfer mechanisms from plasma to specimens of different physical properties. 9Thermal Stress in Free-standing Diamond Films with Cr Interlayer Destroyed显示文摘Thermal stress in large area free-standing diamond films was remarkable during the post-deposition cooling of direct current (DC) arc plasma jet chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process.In this research,the stress release caused by delamination of Cr interlayer was of great importance to ensure the integrity of free-standing diamond film.The effects of Cr interlayer on Mo substrate,namely composite substrate,on thermal stress were investigated.Thermo-mechanical coupling analysis of the thermal stress was applied by finite element analysis (FEA) using ANSYS code.It was found that the interlayer could be destroyed first by the large thermal stress,and then the stress could be released and the probability of diamond film crack initiation would be reduced.The stress concentration at the bent edge of diamond film was also discussed.In addition,diamond films deposited on Mo substrates with and without Cr interlayer were prepared by DC arc plasma jet CVD system and experimental measurements were used to characterize these films.It was found that composite substrate could be an effective method of growing free-standing crack-free diamond films by DC arc plasma jet CVD system when there is no special requirement to the film strength.Zheng Liu,Liangxian Chen,Chengming Li,Lifu Hei,Jianhua Song,Guangchao Chen,Weizhong Tang and Fanxiu Lv School of Materials Science and Engineering,University of Science and Technology Beijing,Beijing 100083,China 2010Journal of Materials Science & Technology2010,26,11:1

16Early Pattern of Epstein-Barr Virus Infection in Gastric Epithelial Cells by “Cell-in-cell”显示文摘Epstein-Barr virus(EBV)is an important human dsDNA virus,which has been shown to be associated with several malignancies including about 10%of gastric carcinomas.How EBV enters an epithelial cell has been an interesting project for investigation.'Cell-in-cell'infection was recently reported an efficient way for the entry of EBV into nasopharynx epithelial cells.The present approach was to explore the feasibility of this mode for EBV infection in gastric epithelial cells and the dynamic change of host inflammatory reaction.The EBV-positive lymphoblastic cells of Akata containing a GFP tag in the viral genome were co-cultured with the gastric epithelial cells(GES-1).The infection situation was observed under fluorescence and electron microscopies.Real-time quantitative PCR and Western-blotting assay were employed to detect the expression of a few specific cytokines and inflammatory factors.The results demonstrated that EBV could get into gastric epithelial cells by'cell-in-cell'infection but not fully successful due to the host fighting.IL-1β,IL-6 and IL-8 played prominent roles in the cellular response to the infection.The activation of NF-κB and HSP70 was also required for the host antiviral response.The results imply that the gastric epithelial cells could powerfully resist the virus invader via cell-in-cell at the early stage through inflammatory and innate immune responses.Wenxing Yue Meijuan Zhu Lielian Zuo Shuyu Xin Jing Zhang Lingzhi Liu Shen Li Wei Dang Siwei Zhang Yan Xie Fanxiu Zhu Jianhong Lu 2019Virologica Sinica2019,34,3:1
17Nanodiamond films deposited at moderate temperature on pure titanium substrate pretreated by ultrasonic scratching in diamond powder suspension显示文摘Nanocrystalline diamond (NCD) film deposition on pure titanium and Ti alloys is extraordinarily difficult because of the high diffusion coefficient of carbon in Ti, the large mismatch in their thermal expansion coefficients, the complex nature of the inter-layer formed during diamond deposition, and the difficulty to achieve very high nucleation density. In this investigation, NCD films were successfully deposited on pure Ti substrate by using a novel substrate pretreatment of ultrasonic scratching in a diamond powder-ethanol suspension and by a two-step process at moderate temperature. It was shown that by scratching with a 30-μm diamond suspension for 1 h, followed by a 10-h diamond deposition, a continuous NCD film was obtained with an average grain size of about 200 nm.
