2Femtosecond laser-induced periodic structures:mechanisms, techniques, and applications显示文摘Over the past two decades,femtosecond laser-induced periodic structures(femtosecond-LIPSs)have become ubiquitous in a variety of materials,including metals,semiconductors,dielectrics,and polymers.Femtosecond-LIPSs have become a useful laser processing method,with broad prospects in adjusting material properties such as structural color,data storage,light absorption,and luminescence.This review discusses the formation mechanism of LIPSs,specifically the LIPS formation processes based on the pump-probe imaging method.The pulse shaping of a femtosecond laser in terms of the time/frequency,polarization,and spatial distribution is an efficient method for fabricating high-quality LIPSs.Various LIPS applications are also briefly introduced.The last part of this paper discusses the LIPS formation mechanism,as well as the high-efficiency and high-quality processing of LIPSs using shaped ultrafast lasers and their applications.Yuchan Zhang Qilin Jiang Mingquan Long Ruozhong Han Kaiqiang Cao Shian Zhang Donghai Feng Tianqing Jia Zhenrong Sun Jianrong Qiu Hongxing Xu 2022Opto-Electronic Science2022,1,6:3
3Blade bowing effects on radial equilibrium of inlet flow in axial compressor cascades显示文摘The circumferentially averaged equation of the inlet flow radial equilibrium in axial compressor was deduced. It indicates that the blade inlet radial pressure gradient is closely related to the radial component of the circumferential fluctuation(CF) source item. Several simplified cascades with/without aerodynamic loading were numerically studied to investigate the effects of blade bowing on the inlet flow radial equilibrium. A data reduction program was conducted to obtain the CF source from three-dimensional(3D) simulation results. Flow parameters at the passage inlet were focused on and each term in the radial equilibrium equation was discussed quantitatively. Results indicate that the inviscid blade force is the inducement of the inlet CF due to geometrical asymmetry. Blade bowing induces variation of the inlet CF, thus changes the radial pressure gradient and leads to flow migration before leading edge(LE) in the cascades. Positive bowing drives the inlet flow to migrate from end walls to mid-span and negative bowing turns it to the reverse direction to build a new equilibrium. 4Gastrin attenuates sepsis-induced myocardial dysfunction by down-regulation of TLR4 expression in macrophages显示文摘Myocardial dysfunction is the most serious complication of sepsis.Sepsis-induced myocardial dysfunction(SMD)is often associated with gastrointestinal dysfunction,but its pathophysiological significance remains unclear.The present study found that patients with SMD had higher plasma gastrin concentrations than those without SMD.In mice,knockdown of the gastrin receptor,cholecystokinin B receptor(Cckbr),aggravated lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced cardiac dysfunction and increased inflammation in the heart,whereas the intravenous administration of gastrin ameliorated SMD and cardiac injury.Macrophage infiltration plays a significant role in SMD because depletion of macrophages by the intravenous injection of clodronate liposomes,48 h prior to LPS administration,alleviated LPSinduced cardiac injury in Cckbr-deficient mice.The intravenous injection of bone marrow macrophages(BMMs)overexpressing Cckbr reduced LPS-induced myocardial dysfunction.Furthermore,gastrin treatment inhibited toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)expression through the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor a(PPAR-a)signaling pathway in BMMs.Thus,our findings provide insights into the mechanism of the protective role of gastrin/CCKBR in SMD,which could be used to develop new treatment modalities for SMD.Dandong Fang Yu Li Bo He Daqian Gu Mingming Zhang Jingwen Guo Hongmei Ren Xinyue Li Ziyue Zhang Ming Tang Xingbing Li Donghai Yang Chunmei Xu Yijie Hu Hongyong Wang Pedro AJose Yu Han Chunyu Zeng 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,9:1
5Highly active Fe_(7)S_(8) encapsulated in N-doped hollow carbon nanofibers for high-rate sodium-ion batteries显示文摘Nanostructured iron sulfides are regarded as a potential anode material for sodium-ion batteries in virtue of the rich natural abundance and remarkable theoretical capacity.However,poor rate performance and inferior cycling stability caused by sluggish kinetics and volume swelling represent two main obstacles at present. The previous research mainly focuses on nanostructure design and/or hybridizing with conductive materials.Further boosting the property by adjusting Fe/S atomic ratio in iron sulfides is rarely reported.In this work,Fe_7 S_8 and FeS_2 encapsulated in N-doped hollow carbon fibers(NHCFs/Fe_7 S_8 and NHCFs/FeS_2) are constructed by a combined chemical bath deposition and subsequent sulfidation treatment.The well-designed NHCFs/Fe_(7) S_(8) electrode displays a remarkable capacity of 517 mAh g^(-1) at 2 A g^(-1)after 1000 cycles and a superb rate capability with a capability of 444 mAh g^(-1) even at 20 A g^(-1) in etherbased electrolyte.Additionally,the rate capability of NHCFs/Fe_(7) S_(8) is superior to that of the contrast NHCFs/FeS_(2) electrode and also much better than the values of the most previously reported iron sulfide-based anodes.The in-depth mechanism explanation is explained by further experimental analysis and theoretical calculation,revealing Fe_(7) S_(8) displays improved intrinsic electronic conductivity and faster Na^(+) diffusion coefficient as well as higher reaction reversibility.Chengzhi Zhang Donghai Wei Fei Wang Guanhua Zhang Junfei Duan Fei Han Huigao Duan Jinshui Liu 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,2:1

16Post-synthetic thiol modification of covalent organic frameworks for mercury(Ⅱ)removal from water显示文摘Various materials have been developed for environmental remediation of mercury ion pollution.Among these materials,covalent organic frameworks(COFs)can efficiently adsorb Hg(II)fromwater.Herein,two thiol-modified COFs(COF-S-SH and COF-OH-SH)were prepared,through the reaction between 2,5-divinylterephthalaldehyde and 1,3,5-tris-(4-aminophenyl)benzene,followed by post-synthetic modification using bis(2-mercaptoethyl)sulfide and dithiothreitol,respectively.The modified COFs showed excellent Hg(II)adsorption abilities with maximum adsorption capacities of 586.3 and 535.5 mg g^(-1)for COF-S-SH and COF-OH-SH,respectively.The prepared materials showed excellent selective absorbability for Hg(II)against multiple cationic metals in water.Unexpectedly,the experimental data showed that both co-existing toxic anionic diclofenac sodium(DCF)and Hg(II)performed positive effect for capturing another pollutant by these two modified COFs.Thus,a synergistic adsorption mechanism between Hg(II)and DCF on COFs was proposed.Moreover,density functional theory calculations revealed that synergistic adsorption occurred between Hg(II)and DCF,which resulted in a significant reduction in the adsorption system's energy.This work highlights a new direction for application of COFs to simultaneous removal of heavy metals and co-existing organic pollutants from water.Wei Wang Minjuan Gong Donghai Zhu Mohammadtaghi Vakili Zahra Gholami Huanhuan Jiang Shuangxi Zhou Han Qu 2023Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2023,,2:0
17Study on Laboratory Method for Refining of SR Diesel Fuel显示文摘The method for refining the straight-run diesel fuel was studied in laboratory scale in order to make the acid number of diesel fraction comply with the standard while removing the naphthenic acids contained in diesel without causing environmental pollution. After comparing the effect of refining using three solvents, the isopropyl alcohol-HOA was specified as the best solvent. Meanwhile, the relationship between the acid number of diesel fraction and the amount of solvent used and the relationship between the concentration of solvent and temperature and the stability of diesel in terms of its acid number were also investigated. 192D-to-3D buckling transformability enabled reconfigurable metamaterials for tunable chirality and focusing effect显示文摘Recently,multifarious deformation approaches in nature have promoted dynamic manipulation for electromagnetic(EM)waves in metamaterials,and those representative strategies are mainly focused on the modulation of spectral parameters.Several works have also achieved tunable phase-gradient meta-devices.Here,to broaden the modulation freedom of mechanical deformation,we initially propose two reconfigurable metamaterials consisting of mirrored S-shaped meta-atoms selectively bonded on biaxially pre-stretched substrates.Planar meta-atoms with spin-insensitive transmittance are buckled into 3D morphologies to break residual symmetries by releasing the stress and to facilitate spin-dependent transmittance under circularly polarized incidence.Owing to the geometric anisotropy of S-shaped meta-atoms along the x and y axes,3D chiral meta-atoms exhibit discriminate circularly cross-polarized transmittance under opposite spins.The underlying physical mechanism reveals that EM resonance originates from the excitation of electric dipoles and magnetic dipoles,and their cross coupling finally triggers the chiral effects of 3D meta-atoms.By introducing the gradient-phase design that keeps unchanged under various strains,two types of meta-atoms with specified orientations are interleaved to design a double-foci metalens,and its 2D-to-3D morphology transformation shortens the focusing length and facilitates the intensity change of two foci.Our approach in designing reconfigurable EM metamaterials with 2D-to-3D buckling transformability can be further extended toward terahertz even optical wavebands,and it may assist with deriving more applicable multi-functionalities in the aspects of imaging,sensing,and holograms.DONGHAI HAN WENKANG LI TAO SUN MIN LIU XIAOMING CHEN HONGYU SHI ZHENGJIE FAN FANQI MENG LIUYANG ZHANG XUEFENG CHEN 2023Photonics Research2023,11,10:0
20Nondestructive determination of soluble solids and firmness in mix-cultivar melon using near-infrared CCD spectroscopy显示文摘Nondestructive evaluation of melon quality is in great need of comprehensive study.Soluble solids content(SSC)and firmness are the two indicators of melon internal quality that mostly a®ect consumer acceptance.To provide guidance for fruit classification,internal quality standards was preliminarily established through sensory test,as:Melon with SSC over 12Brix,firmness 4–5.5 kgf·cm^(-2)2 were considered as satisfactory class sample;and SSC over 10Brix,¯rmness 3.5–6.5 kgf·cm^(-2) as average class sample.The near infrared(NIR)nondestructive detection program was set as spectra collected from the stylar-end,Brix expressed by the average SSC of inner and outer mesocarp,each cultivar of melon was detected with its own optimum integration time,and the second derivative algorithm was used to equalize them.Using wavelength selected by genetic algorithms(GA),a robust SSC model of mix-cultivar melon was established,the root mean standard error of cross-validation(RMSECV)was 0.99 and the ratio performance deviation(RPD)nearly reached 3.0,which almost could meet the accuracy requirement of 1.5Brix.Firmness model of mix-cultivar melon was acceptable but inferior.Jie Lu Shuye Qi Ran Liu Enyang Zhou Wu Li Shuhui Song Donghai Han 2015Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2015,8,6:0
