1Progress of Air Pollution Control in China and Its Challenges and Opportunities in the Ecological Civilization Era显示文摘China’s past economic growth has substantially relied on fossil fuels,causing serious air pollution issues.Decoupling economic growth and pollution has become the focus in developing ecological civilization in China.We have analyzed the three-decade progress of air pollution controls in China,highlighting a strategic transformation from emission control toward air quality management.Emission control of sulfur dioxide(SO2)resolved the deteriorating acid rain issue in China in 2007.Since 2013,control actions on multiple precursors and sectors have targeted the reduction of the concentration of fine particulate matter(PM2.5),marking a transition to an air-quality-oriented strategy.Increasing ozone(O3)pollution further requires O3 and PM2.5 integrated control strategies with an emphasis on their complex photochemical interactions.Fundamental improvement of air quality in China,as a key indicator for the success of ecological civilization construction,demands the deep de-carbonization of China’s energy system as well as more synergistic pathways to address air pollution and global climate change simultaneously.Xi Lu Shaojun Zhang Jia Xing Yunjie Wang Wenhui Chen Dian Ding Ye Wu Shuxiao Wang Lei Duan Jiming Hao 2020Engineering2020,6,12:24
2Comparison of viral RNA-host protein interactomes across pathogenic RNA viruses informs rapid antiviral drug discovery for SARS-CoV-2显示文摘In contrast to the extensive research about viral protein–host protein interactions that has revealed major insights about how RNA viruses engage with host cells during infection,few studies have examined interactions between host factors and viral RNAs(vRNAs).Here,we profiled vRNA–host protein interactomes for three RNA virus pathogens(SARS-CoV-2,Zika,and Ebola viruses)using ChIRP-MS.Comparative interactome analyses discovered both common and virus-specific host responses and vRNA-associated proteins that variously promote or restrict viral infection.In particular,SARS-CoV-2 binds and hijacks the host factor IGF2BP1 to stabilize vRNA and augment viral translation.Our interactome-informed drug repurposing efforts identified several FDA-approved drugs(e.g.,Cepharanthine)as broad-spectrum antivirals in cells and hACE2 transgenic mice.A co-treatment comprising Cepharanthine and Trifluoperazine was highly potent against the newly emerged SARS-CoV-2 B.1.351 variant.Thus,our study illustrates the scientific and medical discovery utility of adopting a comparative vRNA-host protein interactome perspective.Shaojun Zhang Wenze Huang Lili Ren Xiaohui Ju Mingli Gong Jian Rao Lei Sun Pan Li Qiang Ding Jianwei Wang Qiangfeng Cliff Zhang 2022Cell Research2022,32,1:5
3Spatial and Temporal Distributions and Sources of Anthropogenic NMVOCs in the Atmosphere of China:A Review显示文摘As the key precursors of O_(3),anthropogenic non-methane volatile organic compounds(NMVOCs)have been studied intensively.This paper performed a meta-analysis on the spatial and temporal variations of NMVOCs,their roles in photochemical reactions,and their sources in China,based on published research.The results showed that both nonmethane hydrocarbons(NMHCs)and oxygenated VOCs(OVOCs)in China have higher mixing ratios in the eastern developed cities compared to those in the central and western areas.Alkanes are the most abundant NMHCs species in all reported sites while formaldehyde is the most abundant among the OVOCs.OVOCs have the highest mixing ratios in summer and the lowest in winter,which is opposite to NMHCs.Among all NMVOCs,the top eight species account for 50%−70%of the total ozone formation potential(OFP)with different compositions and contributions in different areas.In devolved regions,OFP-NMHCs are the highest in winter while OFP-OVOCs are the highest in summer.Based on positive matrix factorization(PMF)analysis,vehicle exhaust,industrial emissions,and solvent usage in China are the main sources for NMHCs.However,the emission trend analysis showed that solvent usage and industrial emissions will exceed vehicle exhaust and become the two major sources of NMVOCs in near future.Based on the meta-analysis conducted in this work,we believe that the spatio-temporal variations and oxidation mechanisms of atmospheric OVOCs,as well as generating a higher spatial resolution of emission inventories of NMVOCs represent an area for future studies on NMVOCs in China.Fanglin WANG Wei DU Shaojun LV Zhijian DING Gehui WANG 2021Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,7:4

13Energetic,bio-oil,biochar,and ash performances of co-pyrolysis-gasification of textile dyeing sludge and Chinese medicine residues in response to K_(2)CO_(3),atmosphere type,blend ratio,and temperature显示文摘Hazardous waste stream needs to be managed so as not to exceed stock-and rate-limited properties of its recipient ecosystems.The co-pyrolysis of Chinese medicine residue(CMR)and textile dyeing sludge(TDS)and its bio-oil,biochar,and ash quality and quantity were characterized as a function of the immersion of K_(2)CO_(3),atmosphere type,blend ratio,and temperature.Compared to the mono-pyrolysis of TDS,its co-pyrolysis performance with CMR(the comprehensive performance index(CPI))significantly improved by 33.9%in the N_(2)atmosphere and 33.2%in the CO_(2)atmosphere.The impregnation catalyzed the co-pyrolysis at 370℃,reduced its activation energy by 77.3 kJ/mol in the N_(2)atmosphere and 134.6 kJ/mol in the CO_(2)atmosphere,and enriched the degree of coke gasification by 44.25%in the CO_(2)atmosphere.The impregnation increased the decomposition rate of the co-pyrolysis by weakening the bond energy of fatty side chains and bridge bonds,its catalytic and secondary products,and its bio-oil yield by 66.19%.Its bio-oils mainly contained olefins,aromatic structural substances,and alcohols.The immersion of K_(2)CO_(3)improved the aromaticity of the copyrolytic biochars and reduced the contact between K and Si which made it convenient for Mg to react with SiO_(2)to form magnesium-silicate.The co-pyrolytic biochar surfaces mainly included-OH,-CH_(2),C=C,and Si-O-Si.The main phases in the co-pyrolytic ash included Ca_(5)(PO_(4))_(3)(OH),Al_(2)O_(3),and magnesium-silicate.Gang Zhang Zhiyun Chen Tao Chen Shaojun Jiang Fatih Evrendilek Shengzheng Huang Xiaojie Tang Ziyi Ding Yao He Wuming Xie Jingyong Liu 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,2:0
14Adsorption of sodium oleate at the microfine hematite/aqueous solution interface and its consequences for flotation显示文摘The adsorption of sodium oleate(NaOL)at the microfine hematite/aqueous solution interface was investigated in this paper.Experimental research indicated that negative effects stemmed from the dissolution of the microfine hematite(D50=19.21μm)could be effectively eliminated via the appropriate dosage of NaOL at alkali pH conditions.Solution chemistry calculation and adsorption test results indicated that RCOOand(RCOO)_(2)^(2-) ions were responsible for microfine hematite flotation at pH 8.2.Zeta potential and FTIR measurements confirmed the co-adsorption of molecular and ionic oleate species occurred at pH 8.2.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)results further indicated that oleate species interacted with hematite surfaces mainly through chemisorption,giving rise to molecule/colloid formation of oleate and Fe―OL complex compound.Time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry(ToF-SIMS)results demonstrated that oleate species adsorbed onto the hematite surfaces with a thickness of a few nanometers.Furthermore,the normalized peak intensity of C4H7+ions on the hematite sample at pH 8.2 increased remarkably comparing with corresponding result of hematite sample at pH 6.8.The new findings of the present study well revealed the dissolution of microfine hematite and the pH effects on the hematite flotation,as well as the adsorption characteristics of oleate species.Shaojun Bai Jie Li Yunxiao Bi Jiaqiao Yuan Shuming Wen Zhan Ding 2023International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2023,33,1:0
