1Lotus Leaf‑Derived Gradient Hierarchical Porous C/MoS2 Morphology Genetic Composites with Wideband and Tunable Electromagnetic Absorption Performance显示文摘Inspired by the nature,lotus leaf-derived gradient hierarchical porous C/MoS2 morphology genetic composites(GHPCM)were successfully fabricated through an in situ strategy.The biological microstructure of lotus leaf was well preserved after treatment.Different pores with gradient pore sizes ranging from 300 to 5μm were hierarchically distributed in the composites.In addition,the surface states of lotus leaf resulted in the Janus-like morphologies of MoS2.The GHPCM exhibit excellent electromagnetic wave absorption performance,with the minimum reflection loss of−50.1 dB at a thickness of 2.4 mm and the maximum effective bandwidth of 6.0 GHz at a thickness of 2.2 mm.The outstanding performance could be attributed to the synergy of conductive loss,polarization loss,and impedance matching.In particularly,we provided a brand-new dielectric sum-quotient model to analyze the electromagnetic performance of the non-magnetic material system.It suggests that the specific sum and quotient of permittivity are the key to keep reflection loss below−10 dB within a certain frequency range.Furthermore,based on the concept of material genetic engineering,the dielectric constant could be taken into account to seek for suitable materials with designable electromagnetic absorption performance.Fei Pan Zhicheng Liu Baiwen Deng Yanyan Dong Xiaojie Zhu Chuang Huang Wei Lu 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,3:9
2CuTiNiZrV Amorphous Alloy Foils for Vacuum Brazing of TiAl Alloy to 40Cr Steel显示文摘Vacuum brazing of TiAl alloy to 40Cr steel sheets was conducted with newly developed CuTiNiZrV amorphous foils. It was found that a diffusion layer,filler metal and reaction layer existed in the brazed seam. The diffusion layer in the joint brazed with Cu43.75Ti37.5Ni6.25Zr6.25V6.25(at.%) foil was flat and thin,containing Ti19Al6 and Ti2Cu intermetallic compounds; however,the diffusion layer brazed with Cu37.5Ti25Ni12.5Zr12.5V12.5 foil was uneven with bulges,consisting of essentially Ti-based solute solution. The foil with 12.5 at.% V showed inferior spreadability compared to that with 6.25 at.% V at brazing temperature. However,fracture happened along the diffusion layer with 6.25 at.% V foil due to the formation of brittle intermetallic phases,but the joints brazed with 12.5 at.% V foil failed through the TiAl substrate. 3External fixation is more suitable for intra-articular fractures of the distal radius in elderly patients显示文摘The purpose of this study was to compare the functional outcomes,psychological impact,and complication rates associated with external fixation and volar or dorsal plating in relation to the functional parameters following treatment of intra-articular fractures of the distal radius(IFDR) in patients older than 65 years.We hypothesized that using volar or dorsal plating would improve functional outcomes,but that it would be associated with more complications and equivalent functional outcomes when compared with the external fixation group.A total of 123 consecutive patients suffering from IFDR were recruited into the study.The patients were measured for clinical,radiological,and psychosocial functioning outcomes and were followed up after 1 week and 3,6 and 12 months.After 3 months,the plating group had better pronation(P=0.001),supination,(P=0.047) and extension(P=0.043) scores.These differences were somewhat attenuated by6 months and disappeared at 1 year.The plating group had a greater occurrence of wound infection(P=0.043),tendonitis,(P=0.024) and additional surgery compared with the external fixation group.The only TNO-AZL Adult Quality of Life scores in the plating group that were lower than those in the external fixation group were in the 'gross motor' category(walking upstairs,bending over,walking 500 yards; P=0.023).Internal fixation was more advantageous than external fixation in the early rehabilitation period; after 1 year the outcomes were similar.The plating group showed significantly higher levels of wound infection and tendonitis and had a greater need for additional surgeries.Chuang Ma Qiang Deng Hongwei Pu Xinchun Cheng Yuhua Kan Jing Yang Aihemaitijiang Yusufu Li Cao 2016Bone Research2016,4,1:7
4Effect of Post-weld Heat Treatment on Properties of Friction Welded Joint Between TC4 Titanium Alloy and 40Cr Steel Rods显示文摘Dissimilar metal joining of Ti–6Al–4V(TC4) titanium alloy to as-rolled 40 Cr steel rods was conducted with friction welding, and the effect of post-weld heat treatment(PWHT) on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the resultant joints was investigated. The average tensile strength of the as-welded joints reached 766 MPa and failure occurred in 40 Cr steel base metal. However, after PWHT at 600 °C for 0.5, 1, 2 and 3 h, the tensile strength of the joints decreased and fracture happened through the interface with quasi-cleavage features. The bending angle of specimens was improved from 9.6° in as-welded state to 32.5° after PWHT for 2 h. The tensile strength of the joint was enhanced by martensitic transformation near the interface in as-welded state. Sorbite formed near the interface in PWHT state and improved the bending ductility of the joint. Ti C brittle phase formed at the interface after PWHT for 0.5 h and deteriorated the tensile strength and bending ductility of the joint. After PWHT for 2 h, no Ti C phase was detected at the interface. 5Effects of Sm-doping on microstructure,magnetic and microwave absorption properties of BiFeO_(3)显示文摘In this paper,polycrystalline samples of Bi_(1-x)Sm_(x)FeO_(3)(x=0,0.05,0.1,0.15) were successfully synthesized by sol-gel method.The effects of Sm concentration on the crystal structure,morphology,chemical states,magnetic properties and microwave absorption performance were studied by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),a vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM) and a Vector network analyzer(VNA),respectively.The results show that the rare earth Sm doping causes the crystal structure to change.When x≤0.1,Bi_(1-x)Sm_(x)FeO_(3) is the distorted rhombohedral structure with space group R3c.With the increase of Sm doping amount to x=0.15,the phase structure of Bi_(1-x)Sm_(x)FeO_(3) changes from rhombohedral structure to cubic structure with the space group Pm3 m.The particle size decreases with the increase of the Sm doping amount.The analysis results show that Sm doping can effectively reduce the oxygen vacancies and significantly improve its magnetic properties.The results exhibit that moderately doped rare earth Sm element can effectively improve microwave absorption properties of Bi_(1-x)Sm_(x)FeO_(3) powders.When Sm doping amount of x is 0.1,the Bi_(0.9)Sm_(0.1)FeO_(3) compound has good microwave absorption performance,and the minimum reflection loss value of Bi_(0.9)Sm_(0.1)FeO_(3) powder reaches about-32.9 dB at11.7 GHz,and its effective absorption bandwidth(RL <-10 dB) is 2.6 GHz with the optimal matching thickness of 2.0 mm.Chuang Tian Qingrong Yao Zhaofei Tong Huaiying Zhou Guanghui Rao Jianqiu Deng Zhongmin Wang Jiang Wang 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,7:3

9Atomistic dynamics of disconnection-mediated grain boundary plasticity:A case study of gold nanocrystals显示文摘Grain boundary(GB)mediated deformation is a vital contributor to the plasticity of polycrystalline materials,where the disconnection model has become a widely recognized approach to depict the GB dynamics.However,experimental understanding of the atomistic disconnection dynamics remains scarce.In this case study of gold nanocrystals,atomistic disconnection dynamics governing the shear-coupled migration of flat GBs have been systematically investigated via in situ transmission electron microscopy nanomechanical testing supported by molecular dynamics simulations.Specifically,the site-dependent nucleation,shear-driven propagation,and diverse interactions associated with distinct GB disconnections are systematically elucidated and quantitatively compared.Moreover,the disconnection-mediated GB plasticity proves to prevail among different tilt and mixed GBs in gold.Eventually,a conceptual map of disconnection-mediated GB dynamics is established,which would furnish a unified understanding of GB plasticity in metallic materials.Qi Zhu Haofei Zhou Yingbin Chen Guang Cao Chuang Deng Ze Zhang Jiangwei Wang 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,30:1
10125I Radioactive Particles Drive Protective Autophagy in Hepatocellular Carcinoma by Upregulating ATG9B显示文摘Background and Aims:125I radioactive particles implantation have demonstrated efficacy in eradicating hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).However,progressive resistance of HCC to 125I radioactive particles has limited its wide clinical application.Methods:We investigated the cellular responses to 125I radioactive particles treatment and autophagy-related 9B(ATG9B)silencing in HCC cell lines and Hep3B xenografted tumor model using Cell Counting Kit-8 reagent,western blotting,immunofluorescence,flow cytometry,transmission electron microscopy and immunohistochemistry.Results:In this study,we demonstrated that 125I radioactive particles induced cell apoptosis and protective autophagy of HCC in vitro and in vivo.Inhibition of autophagy enhanced the radiosensitivity of HCC to 125I radioactive particles.Moreover,125I radioactive particles induced autophagy by upregulating ATG9B,with increased expression level of LC3B and decreased expression level of p62.Furthermore,ATG9B silencing downregulated LC3B expression and upregulated p62 expression and enhanced radiosensitivity of HCC to 125I radioactive particles in vitro and in vivo.Conclusions:Inhibition of ATG9B enhanced the antitumor effects of 125I particle radiation against HCC in vitro and in vivo.Our findings suggest that 125I particle radiation plus chloroquine or/and the ATG9B inhibitor may be a novel therapeutic strategy for HCC.Yunhua Xiao Jing Yuan Chongshuang Yang Junru Xiong Liangyu Deng Qinghua Liang Chuang He Liangshan Li Fengtian He Xuequan Huang 2023Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,2:1

17Low-degree toroidal modes from the Sumatra-Andaman event observed by superconducting gravimeters显示文摘The complex frequencies of the low-degree toroidal modes are helpful in constraining the mantle structure.In the early years,the traditional method to detect the low-degree toroidal modes is seismic approach,which is primarily limited by the horizontal noise of seismometers.Recently,it has been proved that gravity method is competitive.Therefore,we re-estimated or newly estimated the complex frequencies of the toroidal modes below 1.5 mHz excited by the 2004 Sumatra-Andaman event using gravity method in this paper.The results show that(1)The quality factors of0 T5-0 T9 and1 T2-1 T3 are estimated from superconducting gravity data for the first time;(2)The estimated frequencies and quality factors for0 T2-0 T9 and1 T2-1 T3 are consistent with those provided by previous publications,which verifies the correctness and effectiveness of our estimations;(3)The maximum difference of frequencies between our results and those from CPREM is on the order of 0.01 mHz and the maximum difference of quality factors is at the level of 10.Chuang Xu Hangtao Yu Guangyu Jian Shiqi Deng Boyang Zhou Yihao Wu 2019Geodesy and Geodynamics2019,10,6:0
18Near-infrared dye-loaded magnetic nanoparticles as photoacoustic contrast agent for enhanced tumor imaging显示文摘Objective: Photoacoustic(PA) tomography(PAT) has attracted extensive interest because of its optical absorption contrast and ultrasonic detection. This study aims to develop a biocompatible and biodegradable PA contrast agent particularly promising for clinical applications in human body.Methods: In this study, we presented a PA contrast agent: 1, 2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-N-[methoxy(polyethylene glycol)](DSPE-PEG)-coated superparamagnetic iron oxide(SPIO) nanoparticles(NPs) loaded with indocyanine green(ICG). We used ICG and SPIO NPs because both drugs are approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Given the strong absorption of near-infrared laser pulses, SPIO@DSPE-PEG/ICG NPs with a uniform diameter of ~28 nm could significantly enhance PA signals.Results: We demonstrated the contrast enhancement of these NPs in phantom and animal experiments, in which the in vivo circulation time of SPIO@DSPE-PEG/ICG NPs was considerably longer than that of free ICG. 19Propagation of shock waves in dry and wet sandstone:Experimental observations,theoretical analysis and meso-scale modeling显示文摘Methods of experimental observations, theoretical analysis and meso-scale modeling were used to study the propagation processes of shock waves in dry and wet sandstone under dynamic impact in this paper.According to the results from the dynamic impact experiments with velocity of 0.2-0.5 km/s, it was found that the velocity of shock wave increases linearly with water content. Additionally, the velocity of the shock wave in the sandstone showed a linearly increased regularity with the increasement of the impact velocity, which was proved by theory in this paper. Furthermore, meso-scale simulation models were performed and the simulation results showed that sandstone's porosity reduced the shock waves velocity compared to nonporous materials. 20A-D-A covalent organic-inorganic heterojunctions with enhanced photocatalytic performance for robust anti-bacteria显示文摘Background:Organic semiconductors have attracted much attention due to their excellent biocompatibility,tunable electronic structure,low cost,and antimicrobial phototherapy.However,owing to the high exciton binding energies,organic semiconductor is constrained by their short exciton diffusion length,leading to inefficient transportation of photogenerated carriers and deficient antibacterial capability.Methods:To address this issue,a quad-channel synergistic antibacterial nano-platform of copper sulfide/organic semiconductor(CuS/IEICO-4F)heterojunctions with enhanced photocatalytic performance is designed and manufactured,which can produce localized heat and raise the levels of extracellular reactive oxygen species under near-infrared laser irradiation.Simultaneously,the released Cu2+can consume intrabacterial glutathione,destroying the defense system and ultimately leading to bacterial inactivation.Results:In vitro antibacterial experiments demonstrate that the organic-inorganic bio-heterojunctions possess the potent antibacterial capacity and effective bacterial eradication.Conclusion:This countermeasure shows great promise for application in infectious wound regeneration.Chuang Liu Yi Deng Miao-Miao He Wei-Zhong Yang 2023Biomedical Engineering Communications2023,2,4:0
