3An Energy-Saving Task Scheduling Strategy Based on Vacation Queuing Theory in Cloud Computing显示文摘High energy consumption is one of the key issues of cloud computing systems. Incoming jobs in cloud computing environments have the nature of randomness, and compute nodes have to be powered on all the time to await incoming tasks. This results in a great waste of energy. An energy-saving task scheduling algorithm based on the vacation queuing model for cloud computing systems is proposed in this paper. First, we use the vacation queuing model with exhaustive service to model the task schedule of a heterogeneous cloud computing system.Next, based on the busy period and busy cycle under steady state, we analyze the expectations of task sojourn time and energy consumption of compute nodes in the heterogeneous cloud computing system. Subsequently, we propose a task scheduling algorithm based on similar tasks to reduce the energy consumption. 5Efficacy on rabbits with arrhythmia: needling acupoint of Neiguan(PC6) at shallow or deep depth, and retaining needles for 10, 20, or 30 min显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To compare the effects of Neiguan(PC6)acupuncture at different depths and retention time on arrhythmia duration,myocardial tissue morphology,mRNA expression level of L-type calcium channelα1C subunit and Ca^(2+)-Mg^(2+)-At Pase activity in tachirrhythmia model of rabbits.METHODS:The tachyarrhythmia model was made by intravenous injection of barium chloride into the ears of rabbits.A total of 56 healthy adult male New Zealand big-eared white rabbits,apply the random number table method,divided into normal control group(group A),model group(group B),shallow needling Neiguan(PC6)10 min group(group C),shallow needling Neiguan(PC6)20 min group(group D),shallow needling Neiguan(PC6)30 min group(group E),deep needling Neiguan(PC6)10 min group(group F),deep needling Neiguan(PC6)20 min group(group G),deep needling Neiguan(PC6)30 min group(group H),7 animals in each group.Electrocardiograms were used to collect the duration of arrhythmia;hematoxylin-eosin staining method was performed on myocardial tissue,RT-PCR tested the expression ofα1C subunit mRNA,and the activity of Ca^(2+)-Mg^(2+)-ATPase were quantified by phosphorus determination method.RESULTS:The duration of arrhythmia in each acupuncture treatment group was shortened to varying degrees.Compare to the model group,the tissue damage from barium chloride inducing was improved in the acupuncture group.Compared to the model group,except for group E,most treatment groups had varying degrees of improvement with significantly down-regulated L-type calcium channelα1C subunit mRNA expressions level and increased Ca^(2+)-Mg^(2+)-ATPase activity.CONCLUSIONS:The effect of acupuncture at Neiguan(PC6)with different depths and retention time can reduce the duration of arrhythmia induced by barium chloride relatively,improve the induced pathological changes,down regulate L-type calcium channelα1C subunit mRNA expressions level and increase Ca^(2+)-Mg^(2+)-ATPase activity.Both the shallow and deep tissues of Neiguan(PC6)may be involved in transmitting acupuncture information.There is an optimal induction period for shallow needling at Neiguan(PC6)to reach the best therapeutic effect.GU Chunling CHENG Kai YANG Shouqin RAN Shaofeng TAI Hengyap GAO Xiaofeng PANG Dandan 2021Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,6:1

7Acoustic Goos-H?nchen effect显示文摘We report two models of the lateral displacement of acoustic-wave scattering on a fluid-solid interface that reveal an acoustic analog of the Goos-H?nchen effect in optics. This acoustic analog is called the acoustic Goos-H?nchen effect. Using newly proposed models, we made numerical calculations for the system of a water-Perspex interface. Specifically, in the post-critical-angle region,we observed a lateral displacement(and transition time) of the reflected P-wave with respect to the incident P-wave. The first arrival of the acoustic signal from the interface is found to be a reflected P-wave rather than the sliding-refraction P-wave usually described in traditional acoustic-logging sliding P-wave theory. 8In vivo and in vitro development of Tibetan antelope(Pantholops hodgsonii)interspecific cloned embryos显示文摘The Tibetan antelope is endemic to the Tibetan Plateau,China,and is now considered an endangered species.As a possible rescue strategy,the development of embryos constructed by interspecies somatic cell nuclear transfer(iSCNT)was examined.Tibetan antelope fibroblast cells were transferred into enucleated bovine,ovine and caprine oocytes.These cloned embryos were then cultured in vitro or in the oviducts of intermediate animals.Less than 0.5%of the reconstructed antelope-bovine embryos cultured in vitro developed to the blastocyst stage.However,when the cloned antelope-bovine embryos were transferred to caprine oviducts,about 1.6%of the embryos developed to the blastocyst stage.In contrast,only 0.7%of the antelope-ovine embryos developed to the morula stage and none developed to blastocysts in ovine oviducts.The treatment of donor cells and bovine oocytes with trichostatin A did not improve the embryo development even when cultured in the oviducts of ovine and caprine.When the antelope-bovine embryos,constructed from oocytes treated with roscovitine or trichostatin A,were cultured in rabbit oviducts 2.3%and 14.3%developed to blastocysts,respectively.It is concluded that although some success was achieved with the protocols used,interspecies cloning of Tibetan antelope presents difficulties still to be overcome.The mechanisms resulting in the low embryo development need investigation and progress might require a deeper understanding of cellular reprogramming.Guanghua SU Lei CHENG Yu GAO Kun LIU Zhuying WEI Chunling BAI Fengxia YIN Li GAO Guangpeng LI Shorgan BOU 2014Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering2014,1,1:1
9Effect of type-2 astrocytes on the viability of dorsal root ganglion neurons and length of neuronal processes显示文摘The role of type-2 astrocytes in the repair of central nervous system injury remains poorly understood. In this study, using a relatively simple culture condition in vitro, type-2 astrocytes, differentiated from oligodendrocyte precursor cells by induction with bone morphogenetic protein-4, were co-cultured with dorsal root ganglion neurons. We examined the effects of type-2 astrocytes differentiated from oligodendrocyte precursor cells on the survival and growth of dorsal root ganglion neurons. Results demonstrated that the number of dorsal root ganglion neurons was higher following co-culture of oligodendrocyte precursor cells and type-2 astrocytes than when cultured alone, but lower than that of neurons co-cultured with type-1 astrocytes. The length of the longest process and the length of all processes of a single neuron were shortest in neurons cultured alone, followed by neurons co-cultured with type-2 astrocytes, then neurons co-cultured with oligodendrocyte precursor cells, and longest in neurons co-cultured with type-1 astrocytes. These results indicate that co-culture with type-2 astrocytes can increase neuronal survival rate and process length. 11Twenty years of ocean observations with China Argo显示文摘The international Argo program,a global observational array of nearly 4000 autonomous profiling floats initiated in the late 1990s,which measures the water temperature and salinity of the upper 2000 m of the global ocean,has revolutionized oceanography.It has been recognized one of the most successful ocean observation systems in the world.Today,the proposed decade action“OneArgo”for building an integrated global,full-depth,and multidisciplinary ocean observing array for beyond 2020 has been endorsed.In the past two decades since 2002,with more than 500 Argo deployments and 80 operational floats currently,China has become an important partner of the Argo program.Two DACs have been established to process the data reported from all Chinese floats and deliver these data to the GDACs in real time,adhering to the unified quality control procedures proposed by the Argo Data Management Team.Several Argo products have been developed and released,allowing accurate estimations of global ocean warming,sea level change and the hydrological cycle,at interannual to decadal scales.In addition,Deep and BGC-Argo floats have been deployed,and time series observations from these floats have proven to be extremely useful,particularly in the analysis of synoptic-scale to decadal-scale dynamics.The future aim of China Argo is to build and maintain a regional Argo fleet comprising approximately 400 floats in the northwestern Pacific,South China Sea,and Indian Ocean,accounting for 9%of the global fleet,in addition to maintaining 300 Deep Argo floats in the global ocean(25%of the global Deep Argo fleet).A regional BGC-Argo array in the western Pacific also needs to be established and maintained.Zenghong Liu Xiaogang Xing Zhaohui Chen Shaolei Lu Xiaofen Wu Hong Li Chunling Zhang Lijing Cheng Zhaoqin Li Chaohui Sun Jianping Xu Dake Chen Fei Chai 2023Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,2:0
12Revealing the GHG reduction potential of emerging biomass-based CO_(2) utilization with an iron cycle system显示文摘CO_(2) utilization becomes a promising solution for reducing anthropogenic greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Biomass-based CO_(2) utilization (BCU) even has the potential to generate negative emissions, but the corresponding quantitative evaluation is limited. Herein, the biomass-based CO_(2) utilization with an iron cycle (BCU-Fe) system, which converts CO_(2) into formate by Fe under hydrothermal conditions and recovers Fe with biomass-derived glycerin, was investigated. The GHG reduction potential under various process designs was quantified by a multidisciplinary method, including experiments, simulations, and an ex-ante life-cycle assessment. The results reveal that the BCU-Fe system could bring considerable GHG emission reduction. Significantly, the lowest value is −34.03 kg CO_(2)-eq/kg absorbed CO_(2) (−2.44 kg CO_(2)-eq/kg circulated Fe) with the optimal yield of formate (66%) and Fe (80%). 13Tandem photo-oxidation of methane to methanol at room temperature and pressure over Pt/TiO_(2)显示文摘In the process of methane(CH_(4))oxidation to methanol(CH3OH),CH3OH is more easily oxidized than CH_(4),resulting in inevitable peroxide phenomenon.In this work,we innovatively proposed a tandem reaction pathway to obtain a photocatalytic oxidation process of CH_(4) with high activity and selectivity.This work confirms that the methyl hydrogen peroxide(CH3OOH),the first product of CH_(4) oxidation by H_(2)O_(2),is then completely reduced to CH3OH in an electron-rich environment.Under irradiation,H_(2)O_(2) was excited into hydroxyl radicals(·OH)and hydroperoxyl radicals(·OOH)on brookite TiO_(2) photocatalyst.The·OH oxidized CH_(4) to form methyl radicals(·CH3),which then reacted with·OOH to form CH3OOH.CH3OOH gained electrons on Pt nanoparticles(NPs)and was reduced to CH3OH.At this point,low concentration of·OH was difficult to further oxidize CH3OH,so that it can exist stably.Under the conditions of room temperature(25°C)and atmospheric pressure,the productivity of CH3OH was 883μmol/(g·h),which was 4 times more than the reported photocatalytic CH_(4) oxidation system with the same reaction conditions,and the selectivity was 100%in liquid products(98.77%for all products).The photocatalyst showed excellent stability and maintained>85%product activity after 9 catalytic cycles.This work contributed to the development of highly efficient and selective CH_(4) photooxidation system under mild conditions.Yingxue Sun Chunling Bo Zhijie Cheng Xinyi Zhang Jianjun Liu Lingyu Piao 2023Nano Research2023,16,12:0
