| 4 | Influence of Blade Outlet Angle on Inner Flow Field of Centrifugal Pump Transporting Salt Aqueous Solution显示文摘During transportation of salt aqueous solutions with centrifugal pump, crystallization phenomenon is frequently encountered. For this kind of two-phase flow, it is difficult to be accurately modeled since there are various medium properties and phase change characteristics. In view of experiment, several problems are hampering the implementation of precise measurement. Influences of blade outlet angle and medium temperature on crystallization rate were studied. Sodium sulfate solution was applied to simulate practical fluid in chemical industry. Particle image velocimetry(PIV) was employed to measure velocity distributions in rotating impeller. Crystallization processes in three impellers with different blade outlet angles were investigated. Relations among crystallization and flow parameters such as temperature and velocity were obtained. With the same blade wrap angle, when blade outlet angle is larger, diffusion of single flow passage gets stronger, relative velocity at blade outlet decreases and large scale vortex tends to appear near the blade working surface. For the impact of volume effect of particle phase on fluid viscosity, both liquid and solid phase velocities decrease with continual forming and growing of crystal particles. Velocity of solid phase is greater than that of liquid phase and its direction leans more closely to blade working surface. Solid particles tend to move towards blade working surface, as is more obvious in the impeller with large blade outlet angle. Therefore, collision between solid particles with stern part of blade working surface is more intensive in impeller with large blade outlet angle. Concerning transportation of salt aqueous solution, accurate PIV measurement is conducted in centrifugal impellers with different blade outlet angles. | 5 | A new Multilocus Sequence Analysis Scheme for Mycobacterium tuberculosis显示文摘Objective Tuberculosis remains one of the most serious infectious diseases in the world. In this study, a scheme of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M. tuberculosis) multilocus sequence analysis (MLSA) was established for the phylogenetic and epidemiology analysis. Methods To establish the scheme of M. tuberculosis MLSA, the genome of H37Rv, CCDC5079 and CCDC5180 were compared, and some variable genes were chosen to be the MLSA typing scheme. 44 M. tuberculosis clinical isolates were typed by MLSA, IS6110-RFLP, and soligotyping, to evaluate the MLSA methods. Results After comparison of the genome, seven high discrimination gene loci (recX, rpsL, rmlC, rpmG1, mprA, gcvH, ideR) were chosen to be the MLSA typing scheme finally. 11 variable SNP sites of those seven genes were found among the 44 M. tuberculosis isolate strains and 11 sequence types (STs) were identified. Based on the Hunter-Gaston Index (HGI), MLSA typing was not as good for discrimination at the strain level as IS6110-RFLP, but the HGI was much better than that of spoligotyping. In addition, the MEGA analysis result of MLSA data was similar to spoligotyping/PGG lineage, showing a strong phylogenetic signal in the modern strains of M. tuberculosis. The MLSA data analysis by eBURST revealed that 4 sequence types (ST) came into a main cluster, showing the major clonal complexes in those 44 strains. | 7 | Particle size distributions, PM2.5 concentrations and water- soluble inorganic ions in different public indoor environments: a case study in Jinan, China显示文摘In this study, we collected particles with aerodynamic diameter≤2.5μm (PM2.5) from three different public indoor places (a supermarket, a commercial office, and a university dining hall) in Jinan, a medium-sized city located in northern China. Water- soluble inorganic ions of PM2.5 and particle size distributions were also measured. Both indoor and outdoor PM2.5 levels (102.3-143.8 μg·m- 3 and 160.2-301.3 μg·m-3, respectively) were substantially higher than the value recommended by the World Health Organization (25 I.μg·m-3), and outdoor sources were found to be the major contributors to indoor pollutants. Diurnal particle number size distributions were different, while the maximum volume concentrations all appeared to be approximately 300nm in the three indoor locations. Concentrations of indoor and outdoor PM2.5 were shown to exhibit the same variation trends for the supermarket and dining hall. For the office, PM2.5 concentrations during nighttime were observed to decrease sharply. Among others, SO4^2-, NH4+ and NO3- were found to be the dominant water-soluble ions of both indoor and outdoor particles. Concentrations of NO3- in the supermarket and office during the daytime were observed to decrease sharply, which might be attributed to the fact that the indoor temperature was much higher than the outdoor temperature. In addition, domestic activities such as cleaning, water usage, cooking, and smoking also played roles in degraded indoor air quality. This paper will choose TiO_2 as model photocatalyst to introduce some basic concepts and strategies related to defects and methods developed to characterize defects in the past decades.Meanwhile, such strategies as hydrogenation and metal/nonmetal doping into TiO_2 will be introduced to extend utilization of solar spectrum and/or to provide active sites. On the contrary, the unfavorable effect of defects such as acting as recombination centers of photogenerated carriers will also be introduced.Some typical methods to characterize the properties of defects are summarized, which contain electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR), photoluminescence technique(PL), positron annihilation spectroscopy(PAS), and so on. | 11 | Short- and Long-term Therapeutic Efficacies of Intravenous Transplantation of Bone Marrow Stem Cells on Cardiac Function in Rats with Acute Myocardial Infarction:A Meta-analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials显示文摘Objective To investigate the short- and long-term therapeutic efficacies of intravenous transplantation of bone marrow stem cells(MSCs) in rats with experimental myocardial infarction by metaanalysis.Methods Randomized controlled trials were systematically searched from Pub Med,Science Citation Index(SCI),Chinese journal full-text database(CJFD) up to December 2014.While the experimental groups(MSCs groups) were injected MSCs intravenously,the control groups were injected Delubecco's minimum essential medium(DMEM) or phosphate buffered saline(PBS).Subgroup analysis for each outcome measure was performed for the observing time point after the transplantation of MSCs.Weighted mean differences(WMD) and 95% confidence intervals(CI) were calculated for outcome parameters including ejection fraction(EF) and fractional shortening(FS),which were measured by echocardiogram after intravenous injection and analyzed by Rev Man 5.2 and STATA 12.0.Results Data from 9 studies(190 rats) were included in the meta-analysis.As compared to the control groups,the cardiac function of the experimental groups were not improved at day 7(EF:WMD=0.08,95%CI-1.32 to 1.16,P>0.01; FS:WMD=-0.12,95%CI-0.90 to 0.65,P>0.01) until at day 14 after MSCs' transplantation(EF:WMD=10.79,95%CI 9.16 to 12.42,P<0.01; FS:WMD=11.34,95%CI 10.44 to 12.23,P<0.01),and it lasted 4 weeks or more after transplantation of MSCs(EF:WMD=13.94,95%CI 12.24 to 15.64,P<0.01; FS:WMD=9.64,95%CI 7.98 to 11.31,P<0.01).Conclusion The therapeutic efficacies of MSCs in rats with myocardid infarction become increasing apparent as time advances since 2 weeks after injection. | Can Jiang Dong Zheng Yun-lu Feng Jun Guo Hai-rui Li Ai-dong Zhang | 2016 | Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2016,31,3: | 2 |

| 15 | Diagnostic and economic value of carcinoembryonic antigen,carbohydrate antigen 19-9,and carbohydrate antigen 72-4 in gastrointestinal cancers显示文摘BACKGROUND The diagnostic and economic value of carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9)and CA72-4 for gastrointestinal malignant tumors lacked evaluation in a larger scale.AIM To reassess the diagnostic and economic value of the three tumor biomarkers.METHODS A retrospective analysis of all 32857 subjects who underwent CEA,CA19-9,CA72-4,gastroscopy and colonoscopy from October 2006 to May 2018 was conducted.Then,we assessed the discrimination and clinical usefulness.Total cost,cost per capita and cost-effectiveness ratios were used to evaluate the economic value of two schemes(gastrointestinal endoscopy for all people without blood tests vs both gastroscopy and colonoscopy when blood tests were positive).RESULTS The analysis of 32857 subjects showed that CEA was a qualified biomarker for colorectal cancer(CRC),while the diagnostic efficiencies of CA72-4 were catastrophic for all gastrointestinal cancers(GICs).Regarding early diagnosis,only CEA could be used for early CRC.The combination of biomarkers didn’t greatly increase the area under the curve.The economic indicators of CEA were superior to those of CA19-9,CA72-4 and any combination.At the threshold of 1.8μg/L to 10.4μg/L,all four indicators of CEA were lower than those in the scheme that conducted gastrointestinal endoscopy only.Subgroup analysis implied that the health checkup of CEA for people above 65 years old was economically valuable.CONCLUSION CEA had qualified diagnostic value for CRC and superior economic value for GICs,especially for elderly health checkup subjects.CA72-4 was not suitable as a diagnostic biomarker. | Hai-Ning Liu Can Yao Xiao-Fan Wang Ning-Ping Zhang Yan-Jie Chen Dong Pan Guo-Ping Zhao Xi-Zhong Shen Hao Wu Tao-Tao Liu | 2023 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2023,29,4: | 2 |

| 19 | First Report in China on the Identification and Drug Sensitivity of Mycobacterium elephantis Isolated from the Milk of a Cow with Mastitis显示文摘Objective In this study, milk from a cow with mastitis was analyzed to determine the presence of mycobacterial infection. Milk quality and security problems pertaining to the safe consumption of dairy products were also discussed in this study. Methods Milk was preprocessed with 4% Na OH. Then, mycobacteria were isolated from the milk sample on L-J medium. The isolate was identified using multiple loci Polymerase Chain Reaction(PCR) and multi-locus sequence analysis with 16 S r RNA, sod A, hsp65, and ITS genes. The drug sensitivity of the isolate to 27 antibiotics was tested through alamar blue assay. Results Smooth, moist, pale yellow colonies appeared on the L-J medium within a week after inoculation. Based on the results of multiple loci PCR analysis, the isolate was preliminarily identified as non-tuberculous mycobacteria. The 16 S r RNA, Sod A, hsp65, and ITS gene sequences of the isolate exhibited 99%, 99%, 99%, and 100% similarities, respectively, with those of the published reference strains of Mycobacterium elephantis(M. elephantis). The drug sensitivity results showed that the strain is resistant to isoniazid, p-aminosalicylic acid, and trimesulf but is sensitive to ofloxacin, rifampicin, amikacin, capreomycin, moxifloxacin, kanamycin, levofloxacin, cycloserine, ethambutol, streptomycin, tobramycin, rifabutin, ciprofloxacin, linezolid, cefoxitin, clarithromycin, and minocycline. | 20 | Molecular cloning and functional characterization of a soybean GmG MP1 gene reveals its involvement in ascorbic acid biosynthesis and multiple abiotic stress tolerance in transgenic plants显示文摘L-Ascorbic acid(As A) plays an important role in plants and animals. In plants, GDP-D-mannose pyrophosphorylase(GMP) is essential in the As A biosynthetic pathway. However, little is known about the genes encoding GMP in soybean and here we report genetic and functional analysis of the Gm GMP1(Glycine max GDP-D-mannose pyrophosphorylase 1) gene in this species. Gm GMP1 encoded a GDP-mannose pyrophosphorylase and exhibited higher transcript levels in the leaf than in the root, stem, flower, and seed. Transcript of this gene was ubiquitous in the vegetative and reproductive organs, and was induced by abiotic stress and light. Increasing expression of Gm GMP1 in Arabidopsis and soybean through an overexpressing approach caused pronounced enhancement of As A content, and was implicated in lowering the superoxide anion radical content and lipid peroxidation levels in Arabidopsis, and conferring tolerance to osmotic and high salt stresses during seed germination.
