| 1 | Relationship between Th17 immune response and cancer显示文摘Cancer is the second leading cause of death worldwide and epidemiological projections predict growing cancer mortality rates in the next decades.Cancer has a close relationship with the immune system and,although Th17 cells are known to play roles in the immune response against microorganisms and in autoimmunity,studies have emphasized their roles in cancer pathogenesis.The Th17 immune response profile is involved in several types of cancer including urogenital,respiratory,gastrointestinal,and skin cancers.This type of immune response exerts pro and antitumor functions through several mechanisms,depending on the context of each tumor,including the protumor angiogenesis and exhaustion of T cells and the antitumor recruitment of T cells and neutrophils to the tumor microenvironment.Among other factors,the paradoxical behavior of Th17 cells in this setting has been attributed to its plasticity potential,which makes possible their conversion into other types of T cells such as Th17/Treg and Th17/Th1 cells.Interleukin(IL)-17 stands out among Th17-related cytokines since it modulates pathways and interacts with other cell profiles in the tumor microenvironment,which allow Th17 cells to prevail in tumors.Moreover,the IL-17 is able to mediate pro and antitumor processes that influence the development and progression of various cancers,being associated with variable clinical outcomes.The understanding of the relationship between the Th17 immune response and cancer as well as the singularities of carcinogenic processes in each type of tumor is crucial for the identification of new therapeutic targets. | Hanna Santos Marques Breno Bittencourt de Brito Filipe Antônio França da Silva Maria Luísa Cordeiro Santos Júlio César Braga de Souza Thiago Macêdo Lopes Correia Luana Weber Lopes Nayara Silva de Macêdo Neres Rafael Santos Dantas Miranda Dórea Anna Carolina Saúde Dantas Lorena Lôbo Brito Morbeck Iasmin Souza Lima Amanda Alves de Almeida Maiara Raulina de Jesus Dias Fabrício Freire de Melo | 2021 | World Journal of Clinical Oncology2021，12，10： | 5 |
| 2 | Unexpected elastic isotropy in a black phosphorene/TiC2 van der Waals heterostructure with flexible Li-ion battery anode applications显示文摘Recently, flexible electrodes with biaxial/omnidirectional stretchability haveattracted significant attention. However, most existing pliable electrode materialscan be only stretched in one direction. In this work, an unexpected isotropic vander Waals (vdW) heterostructure is proposed, based on the assembly of two-dimensional crystals of anisotropic black phosphorene (BP) and transition metalcarbide (TIC2). Using vdW-corrected density functional theory calculations, theBPFFiC2 vdW heterostructure was predicted to have excellent structural andmechanical stability, superior electrical conductivity, omnidirectional flexibility,and a high Li storage capacity. We have unraveled the physical origin of theexcellent stability, as well as the Li adsorption preferences of the lithiatedheterostructure, based on a three-step analysis of the stability of the Li-adsorptionprocesses. In addition, the BP/TiC2 vdW heterostructure can also be applied asthe anode material for flexible Na-ion batteries because of its high Na storagecapacity and strong Na binding. | 5 | A review and a statistical analysis of porosity in metals additively manufactured by laser powder bed fusion显示文摘Additive manufacturing(AM), or 3D printing, is an emerging technology that “adds” materials up and constructs products through a layer-by-layer procedure. Laser powder bed fusion(LPBF) is a powder-bed-based AM technology that can fabricate a large variety of metallic materials with excellent quality and accuracy. However, various defects such as porosity,cracks, and incursions can be generated during the printing process. As the most universal and a near-inevitable defect,porosity plays a substantial role in determining the mechanical performance of as-printed products. This work presents a comprehensive review of literatures that focused on the porosity in LPBF printed metals. The formation mechanisms,evaluation methods, effects on mechanical performance with corresponding models, and controlling methods of porosity have been illustrated and discussed in-depth. Achievements in four representative metals, namely Ti-6Al-4V, 316L, Inconel 718, and Al Si10Mg, have been critically reviewed with a statistical analysis on the correlation between porosity fraction and tensile properties. Ductility has been determined as the most sensitive property to porosity among several key tensile properties. | 6 | Pressure-induced structure,electronic,thermodynamic and mechanical properties of Ti_(2)AlNb orthorhombic phase by first-principles calculations显示文摘Effects of pressure on lattice parameters, electronic, thermodynamic and mechanical properties of the fully ordered Ti_(2)AlNb orthorhombic phase were studied using first-principles calculations based on density functional theory(DFT). The bonding nature for ordering orthorhombic Ti_(2)AlNb was revealed quantitatively through the electronic structure analyzing. The external pressures play limited roles in the elastic anisotropy of the alloy due to the outstanding dynamical and mechanical stabilities under pressure. However, the shear modulus of O phase manifests anisotropic, where {010} shear planes are the easiest planes to cleave among the principal planes under all pressures.The heat capacities, volume expansions and thermal expansion coefficients were calculated using the quasi-harmonic approximation model based on the phonon dispersion curves. Meanwhile, the bulk modulus, Young’s modulus,shear modulus and the hardness are promptly enhanced under pressure.
