1Field evaluation of effects of transgenic cry1Ab/cry1Ac,cry1C and cry2A rice on Cnaphalocrocis medinalis and its arthropod predators显示文摘The impacts of transgenic Bt rice on target pests and their predators need to be clarified prior to the commercialization of Bt rice.In this study,the percentages of folded leaves of three transgenic Bt rice lines and non-transgenic parental rice line caused by Cnaphalocrocis medinalis were studied over two successive growing seasons.In addition,the population densities,relative abundance and population dynamics of C.medinalis and four species of its natural arthropod predators were investigated at three sites in China.The results showed that rice line significantly affected the percentages of folded leaves and population densities of C.medinalis larvae.Significantly higher percentages of folded leaves were observed on the non-transgenic rice compared with the three transgenic Bt rice on most sampling dates.Significantly higher densities of C.medinalis larvae and higher relative abundance of C.medinalis within phytophages were found on non-transgenic rice compared with three transgenic Bt rice at different sites across the study period.The population dynamics of C.medinalis larvae were significantly affected by rice line,rice line×sampling date,rice line×year,rice line×sampling date×year.However,there was little,if any,significant difference in the relative abundance,population density and population dynamics of the four arthropod predators between the three Bt rice lines and non-transgenic rice.The results of this study indicate that the Bt toxin in transgenic Bt rice can effectively suppress the occurrence of C.medinalis,but has no significant effects on the occurrence of the four predatory arthropod species.XU XueLiang HAN Yu WU Gang CAI WanLun YUAN BenQi WANG Hui LIU FangZhou WANG ManQun HUA HongXia 2011Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,11:14
2Towards automatic freeform optics design: coarse and fine search of the three-mirror solution space显示文摘Design of an optical system,whether classic or novel,in the past or the present,requires significant effort from the designer.In addition to design methods and theories,the designer’s skills and experience in optical system design are particularly important,which may require years of practice to learn.The diversity and variety of results are limited because of the difficulty,time,and labor costs required.In this article,we propose an automatic design method for freeform optics that can achieve a diverse range of three-mirror designs.The optical specifications and the design constraints are the only inputs required,and a variety of results can be obtained automatically.The output results have various structures and various optical power distributions with high imaging qualities.By implementing the design method,designers can not only realize an overview of the solution space of the three-mirror freeform system,but can also focus on specific designs.Benqi Zhang Guofan Jin Jun Zhu 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,4:2

5The relationship between slip behavior and dislocation arrangement for large-size Mo-3Nb single crystal at room temperature显示文摘The slip behavior and mechanism of large-size Mo-3Nb single crystal have been investigated and disclosed comprehensively at room temperature by quasi-static compression with various strains.With the increase of deformation,the slip traces change from shallow non-uniform slip lines to dense and uniform slip bands.Different slip traces in the same deformation condition were observed,suggesting that the slip traces in the single crystal are controlled by different types and arrangement mechanisms of mobile dislocation.To clarify the relationship between slip behavior and dislocation arrangement,TEM and AFM analyses were performed.Significant discrepancy between the mobility of screw segments and edge segments caused by double cross-slip multiplication mechanism is the reason why different slip features were witnessed.During the whole slip deformation process,screw dislocations play a dominant role and they are inclined to form wall-substructures by interaction and entanglement.With the development of dislocation accumulation,the entangled dislocation walls evolve into dislocation cells with higher stability.Benqi Jiao Qinyang Zhao Yongqing Zhao Laiping Li Zhongwu Hu Xuanqiao Gao Wen Zhang Jianfeng Li 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,33:1

9An h-p Petrov-Galerkin finite element method for linear Volterra integro-differential equations显示文摘We analyze an h-p version Petrov-Galerkin finite element method for linear Volterra integrodifferential equations. We prove optimal a priori error bounds in the L2- and H1-norm that are explicit in the time steps,the approximation orders and in the regularity of the exact solution. Numerical experiments confirm the theoretical results.
