| 1 | Phase 1 human trial of autologous bone marrow-hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in patients with decompensated cirrhosis显示文摘AIM: To evaluate safety and feasibility of autologous bone marrow-enriched CD34+ hematopoietic stem cell Tx through the hepatic artery in patients with decompensated cirrhosis.METHODS: Four patients with decompensated cirrhosis were included. Approximately 200 mL of the bone marrow of the patients was aspirated, and CD34+ stem cells were selected. Between 3 to 10 million CD34+ cells were isolated. The cells were slowly infused through the hepatic artery of the patients.RESULTS: Patient 1 showed marginal improvement in serum albumin and no significant changes in other test results. In patient 2 prothrombin time was decreased; however, her total bilirubin, serum creatinine, and Model of End-Stage Liver Disease (MELD) score worsened at the end of follow up. In patient 3 there was improvement in serum albumin, porthrombin time (PT), and MELD score. Patient 4 developed radiocontrast nephropathy after the procedure, and progressed to type 1 hepatorenal syndrome and died of liver failure a few days later. Because of the major side effects seen in the last patient, the trial was prematurely stopped.CONCLUSION: Infusion of CD34+ stem cells through the hepatic artery is not safe in decompensated cirrhosis. Radiocontrast nephropathy and hepatorenal syndrome could be major side effects. | 2 | Analyzing drying characteristics and modeling of thin layers of peppermint leaves under hot-air and infrared treatments显示文摘The drying kinetics of peppermint leaves was studied to determine the best drying method for them.Two drying methods include hot-air and infrared techniques,were employed.Three different temperatures(30,40,50℃)and air velocities(0.5,1,1.5 m/s)were selected for the hot-air drying process.Three levels of infrared intensity(1500,3000,4500 W/m^2),emitter-sample distance(10,15,20 cm)and air speed(0.5,1,1.5 m/s)were used for the infrared drying technique.According to the results,drying had a falling rate over time.Drying kinetics of peppermint leaves was explained and compared using three mathematical models.To determine coefficients of these models,non-linear regression analysis was used.The models were evaluated in terms of reduced chi-square(χ^2),root mean square error(RMSE)and coefficient of determination(R^2)values of experimental and predicted moisture ratios.Statistical analyses indicated that the model with the best fitness in explaining the drying behavior of peppermint samples was the Logarithmic model for hot-air drying and Midilli model for infrared drying.Moisture transfer in peppermint leaves was also described using Fick’s diffusion model.The lowest effective moisture diffusivity(1.096×10^-11m^2/s)occurred during hot-air drying at 30℃ using 0.5 m/s,whereas its highest value(5.928×10^-11m^2/s)belonged to infrared drying using 4500 W/m^2 infrared intensity,0.5 m/s airflow velocity and 10 cm emitter-sample distance.The activation energy for infrared and hot-air drying were ranged from 0.206 to 0.439 W/g,and from 21.476 to 27.784 kJ/mol,respectively. | Seyed-Hassan Miraei Ashtiani Alireza Salarikia Mahmood Reza Golzarian | 2017 | Information Processing in Agriculture2017,4,2: | 12 |
| 3 | Finite element analysis of the dynamic behavior of pear under impact loading显示文摘Pear fruit is susceptible to bruising from mechanical impact during field harvesting operations and at all stages of postharvest handling.The postharvest shelf life of bruised fruits were shorter,and they softened rapidly under cold storage compared with non-bruised samples.Developing strategies for reducing bruising during the supply chain requires an understanding of fruit dynamic behavior to different enforced loadings.Finite Element Method(FEM)is among the best techniques,in terms of accuracy and cost-efficiency,for studying the factors effective in impact-induced bruising.In this research,the drop test of pear sample was simulated using FEM.The simulation was conducted on a 3D solid model of the pear that was created by using non-contact optical scanning technology.This computer-based study aimed to assess the stress and strain distribution patterns within pear generated by collision of the fruit with a flat surface made of different materials.The contact force between two colliding surfaces is also investigated.The simulations were conducted at two different drop orientations and four different impact surfaces.Results showed that,in both drop orientations,the largest and smallest stresses,strains and contact forces were developed in collision with the steel and rubber surfaces,respectively.In general,these parameters were smaller when fruit collided with the surfaces along its horizontal axis than when collided along its vertical axis.Finally,analyses of stress and strain magnitudes showed that simulation stress and strain values were compatible with experiments data. | Alireza Salarikia Seyed-Hassan Miraei Ashtiani Mahmood Reza Golzarian Hamid Mohammadinezhad | 2017 | Information Processing in Agriculture2017,4,1: | 7 |

| 5 | 利用晶粒尺寸构建本构方程模拟AA1070铝的热变形行为显示文摘对原有Johnson−Cook本构模型中的项进行修正,提出一种新的现象学的、基于经验的本构模型。该模型可用于描述和预测具有不同初始晶粒尺寸的AA1070铝在热加工过程中的流变应力。该模型考虑热软化、应变速率硬化、应变硬化、初始晶粒尺寸及其相互影响,能够正确模拟具有不同应变、应变速率和初始晶粒尺寸AA1070铝的高温行为。通过压缩试验测试的AA1070铝的热流变行为,温度范围为623~773 K,应变速率为0.005~0.5 s−1,初始晶粒尺寸为50~450μm。结果表明,初始晶粒尺寸对AA1070铝的流变行为有显著影响。通过相关系数(R)、平均绝对相对误差(AARE)、相对误差评估模型的可预测性。结果表明,新模型预测的具有不同初始晶粒尺寸材料的流变应力与实验值完全一致,平均相对误差为1.19%,证实新修正的Johnson−Cook关系能准确估计考虑初始晶粒尺寸时AA1070铝的热流变应力。 | H.R.REZAEI ASHTIANI A.A.SHAYANPOOR | 2021 | Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China2021,31,2: | 5 |
