| 1 | Light Triggers the miRNA-Biogenetic Inconsistency for De-etiolated Seedling Survivability in Arabidopsis thaliana显示文摘The shift of dark-grown seedlings into light causes enormous transcriptome changes followed by a dramatic developmental transition.Here,we show that microRNA(miRNA)biogenesis also undergoes regulatory changes during de-etiolation.Etiolated seedlings maintain low levels of primary miRNAs(pri-miRNAs)and miRNA processing core proteins,such as Dicer-like 1,SERRATE,and HYPONASTIC LEAVES 1,whereas during de-etiolation both pri-miRNAs and the processing components accumulate to high levels.However,the levels of most miRNAs do not notably increase in response to light.To reconcile this inconsistency,we demonstrated that an unknown suppressor decreases miRNA-processing activity and light-induced SMALL RNA DEGRADING NUCLEASE 1 shortens the half-life of several miRNAs in de-etiolated seedlings.Taken together,these data suggest a novel mechanism,miRNA-biogenetic inconsistency,which accounts for the intricacy of miRNA biogenesis during de-etiolation.This mechanism is essential for the survival of de-etiolated seedlings after long-term skotomorphogenesis and their optimal adaptation to ever-changing light conditions. | Suk Won Choi Moon Young Ryu Andras Viczian Hyun Ju Jung Gu Min Kim Agustin LArce Natalia PAchkar Pablo Manavella Ulla Dolde Stephan Wenke Attila Molnar Ferenc Nagy Seok Keun Cho Seong Wook Yang | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020，13，3： | 3 |

| 6 | The diagnosis of central vestibular disorders based on the complementary examination of the vestibulospinal reflex显示文摘Objectives:Stance and gait unsteadiness along with vertigo contribute to a central vestibular disorder.For objective analysis ultrasound-computer-craniocorpography(US-COMP-CCG)can be used.Aim of the study was to characterize the unsteadiness in central vestibular disorders and discuss the possible diagnostic usage of US-COMP-CCG.Methods and results:Hundred-and-ninety patients(70 male and 120 female,mean age±SD,58.94±15.27)suffering from central vestibular disorder and 230 healthy control patients(78 male and 152 female,mean age±SD,50.94±15.27)were enrolled.Stance and gait analysis was according to vestibulospinal tests of US-COMPCCG.IBM SPSS V24 software was used for statistical analysis.Mann-Whitney U test and Chi-square test were used,along with sensitivity and specificity categorization.The significance level was p<0.05.According to schematic and statistical analysis instability and postural sway were increased in the vertigo population and statistically significant difference was shown.Upon categorical analysis significant correlation was detected[standing test:longitudinal sway(p<0.00001),lateral sway(p<0.00001),forehead covering area parameters(p=0.0001);stepping test:longitudinal deviation(p=0.05),lateral sway(p=0.011)parameters].Conclusions:Clinicians should consider that postural instability is prominently present in this population and might be of a diagnostic importance. | Stefani Maihoub Andras Molnar Laszl Tamas Agnes Szirmai | 2022 | Journal of Otology2022，17，1： | 0 |
| 7 | A possible objective test to detect benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. The role of the caloric and video-head impulse tests in the diagnosis显示文摘Background:Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo(BPPV)is characterized by vertigo lasting from seconds to minutes,induced by head movements.Objectives:Our study aimed to investigate the clinical significance of the caloric vestibular and video head-impulse tests(vHIT)diagnosing the disorder.Methods:68 patients suffering from posterior canal BPPV(25 male,43 females,mean age±SD,54.5±13.2 years)and 56 patients with a normal functioning vestibular system as control were investigated.Bithermal caloric test and vHIT was performed during the same medical check-up.Canal paresis(CP%),gain(GA)and asymmetry(GA%)parameters were calculated.Results:The Dix-Hallpike manoeuvre was only positive in 4%of this population.The CP%parameter was only pathologic in two patients,and there was no significant difference between control and BPPV patients(p=0.76).The GA value was never under 0.8 in this population,but GA%was abnormal in 63.2%.A significant difference comparing the GA%values to the control group was seen(p=0.034).There was no correlation detected between the CP%and GA%values in BPPV.Regarding the GA%value,61%sensitivity and 76%specificity was seen.Conclusion:The Dix-Hallpike manoeuvre was not often positive in the non-acute phase of BPPV;therefore,objective testing is essential.The caloric test does not have clinical significance in BPPV,but vHIT can be helpful based on the GA%parameter。 | Andras Molnar Stefani Maihoub Laszlo Tamas Agnes Szirmai | 2022 | Journal of Otology2022，17，1： | 0 |
| 8 | Immune phenotype in children with therapy-nave remitted and relapsed Crohn’s disease显示文摘AIM: To characterize the prevalence of subpopulations of CD4+ cells along with that of major inhibitor or stimulator cell types in therapy-nave childhood Crohn's disease (CD) and to test whether abnormalities of immune phenotype are normalized with the improvement of clinical signs and symptoms of disease. METHODS: We enrolled 26 pediatric patients with CD. 14 therapy-nave CD children; of those, 10 children remitted on conventional therapy and formed the remission group. We also tested another group of 12 chil-dren who relapsed with conventional therapy and were given infliximab; and 15 healthy children who served as controls. The prevalence of Th1 and Th2, nave and memory, activated and regulatory T cells, along with the members of innate immunity such as natural killer (NK), NK-T, myeloid and plasmocytoid dendritic cells (DCs), monocytes and Toll-like receptor (TLR)-2 and TLR-4 expression were determined in peripheral blood samples. RESULTS: Children with therapy-nave CD and those in relapse showed a decrease in Th1 cell prevalence. Simultaneously, an increased prevalence of memory and activated lymphocytes along with that of DCs and monocytes was observed. In addition, the ratio of myeloid /plasmocytoid DCs and the prevalence of TLR-2 or TLR-4 positive DCs and monocytes were also higher in therapy-nave CD than in controls. The majority of alterations diminished in remitted CD irrespective of whether remission was obtained by conventional or biological therapy. CONCLUSION: The finding that immune phenotype is normalized in remission suggests a link between immune phenotype and disease activity in childhood CD.
