2Determining factors in potential evapotranspiration changes over China in the period 1971-2008显示文摘Potential evapotranspiration(ETo) is important to hydrological cycling and the global energy balance.Based on a modified FAO56-Penman-Monteith model,ETo was simulated for 603 meteorological stations across China in the period 1971-2008.Spatial distribution and temporal change of ETo were characterized,and the determining factors in ETo were revealed by sensitivity analysis.Results show obvious regional differences in annual average ETo and its determining factor.In general,annual average ETo decreased in the period 1971-2008,but increased since the 1990s.Wind speed and sunshine duration were determining factors in the annual ETo trend,with smaller contributions from relative humidity and temperature.Declining wind speed was the determining factor in decreasing annual ETo in northern temperate regions and the Tibetan Plateau.The spatial extent of wind speed influence contracted to northwest China in summer,and expanded to the whole country in autumn.Decreasing sunshine duration was the determining factor in decreasing annual ETo in subtropical and tropical regions,especially in summer,with a larger spatial influence mainly to the southeast of the farming-pastoral region.ETo change has distinct impacts on earth surface ecosystems and environment depending on different determining factors.YIN YunHe WU ShaoHong DAI ErFu 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,29:53

4Climatic trends over the Tibetan Plateau during 1971-2000显示文摘Trends of annual and monthly temperature, precipitation, potential evapotranspi- ration and aridity index were analyzed to understand climate change during the period 1971–2000 over the Tibetan Plateau which is one of the most special regions sensitive to global climate change. FAO56–Penmen–Monteith model was modified to calculate potential evapotranspiration which integrated many climatic elements including maximum and mini- mum temperatures, solar radiation, relative humidity and wind speed. Results indicate gen- erally warming trends of the annual averaged and monthly temperatures, increasing trends of precipitation except in April and September, decreasing trends of annual and monthly poten- tial evapotranspiration, and increasing aridity index except in September. It is not the isolated climatic elements that are important to moisture conditions, but their integrated and simulta- neous effect. Moreover, potential evapotranspiration often changes the effect of precipitation on moisture conditions. The climate trends suggest an important warm and humid tendency averaged over the southern plateau in annual period and in August. Moisture conditions would probably get drier at large area in the headwater region of the three rivers in annual average and months from April to November, and the northeast of the plateau from July to September. Complicated climatic trends over the Tibetan Plateau reveal that climatic factors have nonlinear relationships, and resulte in much uncertainty together with the scarcity of observation data. The results would enhance our understanding of the potential impact of climate change on environment in the Tibetan Plateau. 5Northward-shift of temperature zones in China's eco-geographical study under future climate scenario显示文摘Despite the well-documented effects of global climate change on terrestrial species' ranges,eco-geographical regions as the regional scale of ecosystems have been poorly studied especially in China with diverse climate and ecosystems.Here we analyse the shift of temperature zones in eco-geographical study over China using projected future climate scenario.Projected climate data with high resolution during 1961-2080 were simulated using regional climate model of PRECIS.The number of days with mean daily temperature above 10℃ and the mean temperature of January are usually regarded as the principal criteria to indicate temperature zones,which are sensitive to climate change.Shifts due to future climate change were calculated by comparing the latitude of grid cells for the future borderline of one temperature zone with that for baseline period(1961-1990).Results indicated that the ranges of Tropical,Subtropical,Warm Temperate and Plateau Temperate Zones would be enlarged and the ranges of Cold Temperate,Temperate and Plateau Sub-cold Zones would be reduced.Cold Temperate Zone would probably disappear at late this century.North borderlines of temperature zones would shift northward under projected future climate change,especially in East China.Farthest shifts of the north boundaries of Plateau Temperate,Subtropical and Warm Temperate Zones would be 3.1°,5.3° and 6.6° latitude respectively.Moreover,northward shift would be more notably in northern China as future temperature increased.WU Shaohong ZHENG Du YIN Yunhe LIN Erda XU Yinlong 2010Journal of Geographical Sciences2010,20,5:16

7Task space control of free-floating space robots using constrained adaptive RBF-NTSM显示文摘Trajectory tracking control of space robots in task space is of great importance to space missions,which require on-orbit manipulations.This paper focuses on position and attitude tracking control of a free-floating space robot in task space.Since neither the nonlinear terms and parametric uncertainties of the dynamic model,nor the external disturbances are known,an adaptive radial basis function network based nonsingular terminal sliding mode(RBF-NTSM)control method is presented.The proposed algorithm combines the nonlinear sliding manifold with the radial basis function to improve control performance.Moreover,in order to account for actuator physical constraints,a constrained adaptive RBF-NTSM,which employs a RBF network to compensate for the limited input is developed.The adaptive updating laws acquired by Lyapunov approach guarantee the global stability of the control system and suppress chattering problems.Two examples are provided using a six-link free-floating space robot.Simulation results clearly demonstrate that the proposed constrained adaptive RBF-NTSM control method performs high precision task based on incomplete dynamic model of the space robots.In addition,the control errors converge faster and the chattering is eliminated comparing to traditional sliding mode control.GUO ShengPeng LI DongXu MENG YunHe FAN CaiZhi 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,4:11

9Global Dynamic Molecular Profiling of Stomatal Lineage Cell Development by Single-Cell RNA Sequencing显示文摘The regulation of stomatal lineage cell development has been extensively investigated.However,a comprehensive characterization of this biological process based on single-cell transcriptome analysis has not yet been reported.In this study,we performed RNA sequencing on 12844 individual cells from the cotyledons of 5-day-old Arabidopsis seedlings.We identified 11 cell clusters corresponding mostly to cells at specific stomatal developmental stages using a series of marker genes.Comparative analysis of genes with the highest variable expression among these cell clusters revealed transcriptional networks that regulate development from meristemoid mother cells to guard mother cells.Examination of the developmental dynamics of marker genes via pseudo-time analysis revealed potential interactions between these genes.Collectively,our study opens the door for understanding how the identified novel marker genes participate in the regulation of stomatal lineage cell development.Zhixin Liu Yaping Zhou Jinggong Guo Jiaoai Li Zixia Tian Zhinan Zhu Jiajing Wang Rui Wu Bo Zhang Yongjian Hu Yijing Sun Yan Shangguan Weiqiang Li Tao Li Yunhe Hu Chenxi Guo Jean-David Rochaix Yuchen Miao Xuwu Sun 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,8:11
10Major advances in studies of the physical geography and living environment of China during the past 70 years and future prospects显示文摘The natural environment provides material essentials for human survival and development. The characteristics,processes, regional differentiation and forcing mechanisms of the elements of the natural environment(e.g. geomorphology,climate, hydrology, soil, etc.) are the main objects of research in physical geography. China has a complex natural environment and huge regional differentiation and therefore it provides outstanding reserach opportunities in physical geography. This review summarizes the most important developments and the main contributions of research in the physical geography and human living environment in China during the past 70 years. The major topics addressed are the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau and the evolution of its cryosphere, the development of fluvial systems, the acidification of the vast arid region of the Asian interior, variations in the monsoon and westerly climate systems on multiple timescales, the development of lakes and wetlands, the watershed system model, soil erosion, past human-environment interactions, biogeography, and physical geographic zonality. After briefly introducing international research developments, we review the history of research in physical geography in China, focusing on the major achievements and major academic debates, and finally we summarize the status of current research and the future prospects. 11Cotton bollworm resistance to Bt transgenic cotton: A case analysis显示文摘Cotton bollworm (Helicoverpa armigera) is one of the most serious insect pests of cotton. Transgenic cotton expressing Cry toxins derived from a soil bacterium, Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt), has been produced to target this pest. Bt cotton has been widely planted around the world, and this has resulted in efficient control of bollworm populations with reduced use of synthetic insecticides. However, evolution of resistance by this pest threatens the continued success of Bt cotton. To date, no field populations of bollworm have evolved significant levels of resistance; however, several laboratory-selected Cry-resistant strains of H. armigera have been obtained, which suggests that bollworm has the capacity to evolve resistance to Bt. The development of resistance to Bt is of great concern, and there is a vast body of research in this area aimed at ensuring the continued success of Bt cotton. Here, we review studies on the evolution of Bt resistance in H. armigera, focusing on the biochemical and molecular basis of Bt resistance. 13Regional difference of aridity/humidity conditions change over China during the last thirty years显示文摘The meteorological data of 616 stations in China were used to calculate the potential evapotranspira-tion and aridity/humidity index by applying the modified FAO-Penman-Monteith model. Regional difference of trends in precipitation, potential evapotranspiration and arid-ity/humidity index over China and their interdecadal varia-tions were analyzed from 1971 to 2000. The results show that all the four climatic factors trends have obvious regional difference and interdecadal variations. Annual precipitation during the 30-year period shows an increasing trend over most regions of China, with decreasing trends in potential evapotranspiration and aridity/humidity index. Most regions in China become more humid, especially significant in northern Xinjiang, eastern Tibet, western Sichuan, and northern Yunnan. The average value over China would mask the regional difference of climate change because of the com-plex environmental condition in China. Therefore regional difference should be analyzed to further understand climate change and its impacts. 14Comparative study on the interface and mechanical properties of T700/Al and M40/Al composites显示文摘T700/Al and M40/Al composites were fabricated by squeeze casting technology, and their interface and mechanical properties were investi-gated comparatively. The results showed that both of the composites were dense, and the fibers were distributed uniformly in aluminum ma-trix. Aluminum carbide (Al4C3) was observed on the interface of the two carbon fiber-reinforced aluminum (Cf/Al) composites. There was little Al4C3 with a length of 300-500 nm and a width of 30-60 nm in the M40/Al composite, whereas there was a great deal of Al4C3 with a length of 200-400 nm and a width of 100-200 nm in the T700/Al composite, due to a higher graphitization of M40Cf than T700Cf. 15Satellite-observed trends in the Arctic sea ice concentration for the period 1979–2016显示文摘Arctic sea ice cover has decreased dramatically over the last three decades. This study quanti?es the sea ice concentration(SIC) trends in the Arctic Ocean over the period of 1979–2016 and analyzes their spatial and temporal variations. During each month the SIC trends are negative over the Arctic Ocean, wherein the largest(smallest) rate of decline found in September(March) is-0.48%/a(-0.10%/a).The summer(-0.42%/a) and autumn(-0.31%/a) seasons show faster decrease rates than those of winter(-0.12%/a) and spring(-0.20%/a) seasons. Regional variability is large in the annual SIC trend. The largest SIC trends are observed for the Kara(-0.60%/a) and Barents Seas(-0.54%/a), followed by the Chukchi Sea(-0.48%/a), East Siberian Sea(-0.43%/a), Laptev Sea(-0.38%/a), and Beaufort Sea(-0.36%/a). The annual SIC trend for the whole Arctic Ocean is-0.26%/a over the same period. Furthermore, the in?uences and feedbacks between the SIC and three climate indexes and three climatic parameters, including the Arctic Oscillation(AO), North Atlantic Oscillation(NAO), Dipole anomaly(DA), sea surface temperature(SST), surface air temperature(SAT), and surface wind(SW), are investigated. Statistically, sea ice provides memory for the Arctic climate system so that changes in SIC driven by the climate indices(AO, NAO and DA) can be felt during the ensuing seasons. Positive SST trends can cause greater SIC reductions, which is observed in the Greenland and Barents Seas during the autumn and winter. In contrast, the removal of sea ice(i.e., loss of the insulating layer) likely contributes to a colder sea surface(i.e., decreased SST), as is observed in northern Barents Sea. Decreasing SIC trends can lead to an in-phase enhancement of SAT, while SAT variations seem to have a lagged in?uence on SIC trends. 17An Effective SDN Controller Scheduling Method to Defence DDoS Attacks显示文摘Distributed Denial of Service(DDoS)attack is a difficult issue which needs to be addressed in Software defined networking(SDN). In order to help the controller to weather out the DDoS attack, an efficient controller scheduling method is proposed. The proposed controller scheduling method uses the normalized waiting time, length and extent of the switch being attacked to choose the request that needs to be processed by the controller.
