3Numerical simulation of overburden and surface movements for Wongawilli strip pillar mining显示文摘The Wongawilli strip pillar mining technique,which combines the strip pillar mining layout and Wongawilli mining technology,is a new high efficient mining technology for mining under surface structures. The Wongawilli strip pillar mining technique was studied in this paper using theoretical analysis and numerical simulation. As an example,the geological and mining conditions of a coal mine were used to design the Wongawilli strip pillar plans,including the support parameters of the entries and the mining technology. In order to control the surrounding rocks and manage the roof effectively during coal mining,the stress fields,displacement fields and plastic zones were studied by numerical simulation. The stress fields,displacement fields,and plastic zones generated by Wongawilli strip pillar mining were obtained. And the surface movement and deformation were also determined after mining was completed and its effects on surface structures were analyzed and evaluated. The results demonstrate that it is feasible to mine under surface structures with the Wongawilli strip pillar mining technique. 4Numerical analysis for cooling effect of open boundary ripped-rock embankment on Qinghai-Tibetan railway显示文摘The heat convection of fluid inside the ballast layer and ripped-rock layer, which are re- garded as porous media in railway embankment, is a process of heat and mass transfer. At present, the ripped-rock embankment, as a new type of embankment structure, has widely been used in the construction of Qinghai-Tibetan railway. However, because its ripped-rock layer is almost open in two bilateral boundaries and closed at top and bottom, and air can flow into/out of the ballast layer and ripped-rock layer, the convection and transfer heat patterns are very complicated in the embankment. Therefore, based on the temperature and geology conditions of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, a nu- merical approach of the unsteady two-dimensional continuity, momentum (non-Darcy flow) and en- ergy equations of heat convection for incompressible fluid in porous media is provided to analyze the velocity and temperature characteristics of the ripped-rock embankment with different embankment heights under open boundary condition for the coming 50 years in this paper. The calculated results indicate that, due to the influence of the outside wind, the convective heat transfer mainly relies on the forced convection in the open ripped-rock embankment. Even if the air temperature will be warmed up by 2.6℃ in the coming 50 years, it still has a better cooling effect on the underlying soils and a low temperature frozen-soil core is formed in the permafrost below it if the embankment is constructed in the regions whose present mean annual air temperature is ?4.0℃. Furthermore, the cooling effect of high ripped-rock embankment is better than that of low embankment. This is because the wider bot- tom of high embankment has a more influence dimension on the underlying frozen soil. However, cardinal winds on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau disturb its convection pattern, so that an asymmetric temperature distribution occurs under high embankment and it is possible to induce a transverse un- even deformation of embankment, but no similar situation occurs under low embankment. 5Simultaneous virus identification and characterization of severe unexplained pneumonia cases using a metagenomics sequencing technique显示文摘Many viruses can cause respiratory diseases in humans.Although great advances have been achieved in methods of diagnosis,it remains challenging to identify pathogens in unexplained pneumonia(UP) cases.In this study,we applied next-generation sequencing(NGS) technology and a metagenomic approach to detect and characterize respiratory viruses in UP cases from Guizhou Province,China.A total of 33 oropharyngeal swabs were obtained from hospitalized UP patients and subjected to NGS.An unbiased metagenomic analysis pipeline identified 13 virus species in 16 samples.Human rhinovirus C was the virus most frequently detected and was identified in seven samples.Human measles virus,adenovirus B 55 and coxsackievirus A10 were also identified.Metagenomic sequencing also provided virus genomic sequences,which enabled genotype characterization and phylogenetic analysis.For cases of multiple infection,metagenomic sequencing afforded information regarding the quantity of each virus in the sample,which could be used to evaluate each viruses' role in the disease.Our study highlights the potential of metagenomic sequencing for pathogen identification in UP cases.Xiaohui Zou Guangpeng Tang Xiang Zhao Yan Huang Tao Chen Mingyu Lei Wenbing Chen Lei Yang Wenfei Zhu Li Zhuang Jing Yang Zhaomin Feng Dayan Wang Dingming Wang Yuelong Shu 2017Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,3:14
6Effects of Dietary β-Glucan and Glycyrrhizin on Non-Specific Immunity and Disease Resistance of the Sea Cucumber (Apostichopus japonicus Selenka) Challenged with Vibrio splendidus显示文摘Sea cucumbers, Apostichopus japonicus Selenka, were fed diets containing non-immunostimulant (basal diet), 0.2% β-glucan and 0.02% glycyrrhizin in a recirculatory water system for 45 days, and subsequently challenged with Vibrio splendidus by injection at 1.0×108 cfu/sea cucumber for 15 days.Phagocytic capacity (PC), intracellular superoxide anion production (ISAP), ly-sozyme (LSZ) activity and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity in the coelomic fluid were analyzed on the 0th, 5th, 10th and 15th days after injection.Results showed that after the 45-day feeding period, PC, ISAP, LSZ activity and SOD activity in sea cucumbers fed with dietary β-glucan or glycyrrhizin were significantly higher than in those fed with the basal diet.On the 5th day after infection, all the immune parameters examined in the sea cucumbers injected with V.splendidus decreased in value significantly.On the 15th day, PC, ISAP and LSZ activity returned to levels similar to those on the 0th day.For the sea cucumbers injected with saline, there were no significant differences in all the immune parameters examined and in the cumulative morbidity during the 15-day challenging trial.After injecting with V.splendidus, the cumulative morbidity of sea cucumbers fed with the basal diet was significantly higher than those fed with dietary β-glucan or glycyrrhizin when challenged with V.splendidus challenged sea cucumber fed with the basal diet was significantly higher than those fed with dietary β-glucan or glycyrrhizin.There was no significant difference in cumulative morbidity between the dietary β-glucan and glycyrrhizin treatments over time.CHANG Jie ZHANG Wenbing MAI Kangsen MA Hongming XU Wei 2010Journal of Ocean University of China2010,9,4:12
7Fractured zone height of longwall mining and its effects on the overburden aquifers显示文摘As mining depth becomes deeper and deeper,the possibility of undermining overburden aquifers is increasing.It is very important for coal miners to undertake studies on the height of fractured zone during longwall mining and the effects of longwall mining on the underground water while mining under surface water bodies and underground aquifers.In order to study this problem,piezometers for monitoring underground water levels were installed above the longwall panels in an American coalmine.Large amounts of pre-mining,during mining and post-mining monitoring data were collected.Based on the data,the heights of fractured zones were obtained and the effects of longwall mining on the underground water were studied.The results demonstrate that when the piezometer monitoring wells had an interburden thickness of less than 72.7 m,the groundwater level decreased immediately to immeasurable levels and the wells went dry after undermining the face of longwall.The height of the fractured zone is 72.7-85.3 m in the geological and mining conditions.The results also show that the calculated values of fractured zones by the empirical formulae used in China are smaller than the actual results.Therefore,it is not always safe to use them for analyses while mining under water bodies.Guo Wenbing Zou Youfeng Hou Quanlin 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,5:11
8Effects of Dietary Corn Gluten Meal on Growth Performance and Protein Metabolism in Relation to IGF-I and TOR Gene Expression of Juvenile Cobia (Rachycentron canadum)显示文摘A growth experiment was conducted on cobia(Rachycentron canadum,initial weight 108.2 g ± 3.0 g) to investigate the effects of dietary corn gluten meal(CGM) levels on the fish growth,whole body composition and protein metabolism in relation to specific gene expression.Five isonitrogenous(crude protein 45%) and isoenergetic(gross energy 20 kJ g 1) practical diets were formulated by replacing 0%(the control),17.5%,35.0%,52.5%,and 70.0% of fish meal(FM) protein with CGM protein.No significant differences were observed in the survival,feed intake(FI),specific growth rate(SGR),feed efficiency(FE) and protein productive value(PPV) among fish fed diets with 0%,17.5%,35.0%,and 52.5% of CGM protein.However,these indices were significantly lower in fish fed the diet with 70.0% of CGM protein than those in fish fed the control diet(P < 0.05).The whole-body crude protein and lipid contents were significantly lower while the whole-body moisture content was significantly higher in fish fed the diet with 70.0% of CGM protein compared with the control group(P < 0.05).When 70.0% of FM protein was replaced by CGM,plasma total protein and cholesterol contents were significantly lower than those in the control group(P < 0.05).Fish fed the diet with 70.0% of CGM protein had significantly lower hepatic insulin-like growth factor I(IGF-I) expression levels than those in the control group(P < 0.05).However,no significant differences were observed in hepatic target of rapamycin(TOR),dorsal muscle IGF-I and TOR expression levels among dietary treatments.Results of the present study indicated that 52.5% of FM protein could be replaced by CGM in the diets without significant influences on the growth,feed utilization and protein metabolism of juvenile cobia.The present results might be useful for developing cost effective and sustainable cobia dietary formulations.LUO Yiwen AI Qinghui MAI Kangsen ZHANG Wenbing XU Wei ZHANG Yanjiao LIUFU Zhiguo 2013Journal of Ocean University of China2013,12,3:10
9Effects of Dietary Stachyose on Growth Performance, Digestive Enzyme Activities and Intestinal Morphology of Juvenile Turbot(Scophthalmus maximus L)显示文摘A 12-week feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary stachyose on the growth performance, digestive enzymes activities and intestinal structures of juvenile turbot(Scophthalmus maximus L). Five isonitrogenous(49.58% crude protein) and isolipidic(10.50% crude lipid) diets were formulated to contain 0(Control), 0.625%(S-0.625), 1.25%(S-1.25), 2.5%(S-2.5) and 5%(S-5) stachyose, respectively. With the increase of stachyose level, the growth performance and feed utilization of turbot, such as the specific growth rate, final mean body weight, weight gain rate and feed efficiency, increased significantly(P < 0.05) and then stabilized. The feed intake of fish fed S-5 was significantly higher(P < 0.05) than that of fish in other groups. The activities of trypsin, intestinal caseinolytic, stomach and intestinal amylase were significantly influenced by stachyose(P < 0.05). The highest values of trypsin and intestinal caseinolytic activities were observed in group S-1.25, while the highest activity of stomach amylase and the lowest activity of intestine amylase were observed in group S-5. No lesion or damage was found on the distal intestine structures of fish from all treatments, while the height of simple folds in the distal intestine was significantly increased(P< 0.05) when 1.25% or 2.5% stachyose was added in the diets. 10Effects of Dietary Soy Isoflavones on Feed Intake,Growth Performance and Digestibility in Juvenile Japanese Flounder(Paralichthys olivaceus)显示文摘An 8-week feeding trial was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary soy isoflavones on feeding intake,growth performance,and digestion of juvenile Japanese flounder(Paralichthys olivaceus).Four isonitrogenous(49% crude protein) and isoenergetic(20.1 MJ kg-1) diets were formulated to contain four graded levels of soy isoflavones,namely,0,1,4 and 8 g soy isoflavones in 1 kg of diet.Each diet was randomly fed to triplicate tanks of fish(Initial average weight:2.58 g ± 0.01 g),and each tank was stocked with 35 fish.No significant difference was observed among diets with levels of 0,1 and 4 g kg-1 soy isoflavones in feed intake,weight gain,feed efficiency ratio(FER),proximate composition of fish whole body and apparent digestibility coefficients(ADC) of nutrients and energy(P>0.05).However,high dietary soy isoflavones level(8 g kg-1) significantly depressed weight gain,FER,whole-body crude lipid content of fish and ADC of nutrients(P<0.05).These results indicate that high level of dietary soy isoflavones(above 4 g kg-1) significantly depresses growth responses and FER of Japanese flounder.However,as the content of soy isoflavones in soybean meal is around 1 to 3 g kg-1,the adverse effects might be neglected when soybean products are used as a fish feed ingredient.MAI Kangsen ZHANG Yanjiao CHEN Wei XU Wei AI Qinghui ZHANG Wenbing 2012Journal of Ocean University of China2012,11,4:9
11Effects of Brown Fish Meal Replacement with Fermented Soybean Meal on Growth Performance, Feed Efficiency and Enzyme Activities of Chinese Soft-shelled Turtle, Pelodiscus sinensis显示文摘A 120-day feeding experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of partial replacement of brown fish meal (BFM) by fermented soybean meal (FSBM) in diets of Chinese soft-shelled turtle (Pelodiscus sinensis). The turtles (initial mean body weight, (115.52 ± 1.05) g) were fed with three experimental diets, in which 0%, 4.72% and 9.44% BFM protein was replaced by 0%, 3% and 6% FSBM, respectively. Results showed that the feeding rate (FR), specific growth rate (SGR) and feed efficiency ratio (FER) of turtles fed with the diet containing 3% FSBM were not significantly different from the control group (0% FSBM) (P > 0.05). However, FR, SGR and FER of turtles fed with the diet containing 6% FSBM were significantly lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). No significant differences were observed in the activities of serum glutamic-oxalacetic transaminase and glutamicpyruvic transaminase among dietary treatments (P > 0.05). However, the uric acid concentration in turtles fed with the diet containing 3% or 6% FSBM was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in the activities of lysozyme, alkaline phosphatase and total superoxide dismutase among dietary treatments (P > 0.05). 12Comparative study on the organoleptic quality of wild and farmed large yellow croaker Larimichthys crocea显示文摘To fill the blank in systematic study on the organoleptic quality of large yellow croaker Larimichthys crocea,we analyzed the organoleptic quality of the fish meat of wild,trash-fish-fed,and compound-feed-fed large yellow croaker.Six fish(weight:500 g)per group were sampled in the same period,and 89 indices of fish organoleptic quality were measured and analyzed.Results reveal significant differences in the body condition factor,skin/muscle color,flesh texture,odor,and taste aspects between wild and farmed fish.Compared with the wild fish,farmed fish showed fatter body shape,whiter skin or muscle color,tender muscle,higher level of fishy odor or volatile intensity,but lower delicious taste.In addition,compared with trash-fish feeding,compound-feed feeding could improve the body shape,skin color,flesh texture,and fish taste of large yellow croaker,but it also increased the fishy odor.In principle component analysis and cluster analysis,the present study preliminarily established the systematic evaluation with multiple indices to the quality of large yellow croaker.It shall be helpful for the evaluation or improvement of the quality of farmed large yellow croaker.MA Rui MENG Yuqiong ZHANG Wenbing MAI Kangsen 2020Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,1:7

14Optimization of Extraction of Total Flavonoids from HERBA BLUMEAE RIPARIAE Using Response Surface Methodology显示文摘[Objectives]This study aimed to optimize the ultrasonic-assisted extraction process of total flavonoids from a Zhuang medicine HERBA BLUMEAE RIPARIAE using response surface methodology.[Methods]Using rutin as a reference substance,a standard curve was drawn at a wavelength of 292 nm.Content determination was performed through absorbance under different conditions.The effects of ultrasonic time,ethanol volume fraction and liquid-to-solid ratio on the yield of total flavonoids from HERBA BLUMEAE RIPARIAE were investigated by single-factor tests.By using Box-Behnken test,the ultrasonic-assisted extraction process of total flavonoids from HERBA BLUMEAE RIPARIAE was optimized.[Results]The optimal extraction process of total flavonoids from HERBA BLUMEAE RIPARIAE was as follows:ultrasonic time of 30 min,ethanol volume fraction of 50%and liquid-to-solid ratio of 40∶1(mL/g).Under the optimal extraction conditions,the average yield of total flavonoids from HERBA BLUMEAE RIPARIAE was 85.47 mg/g.[Conclusions]The optimized extraction process was convenient and feasible.This study will provide a reference for the extraction of total flavonoids from HERBA BLUMEAE RIPARIAE,and provide certain guidance and basis for further development and utilization of the plan resource of Blumea riparia(Bl.)DC.Hongna SU Yining ZHANG Xuexue LI Xuelian ZHAO Yisong LI Wenbing LI Yuan LIU 2020Medicinal Plant2020,11,2:5

16An enzyme-responsive and transformable PD-L1 blocking peptide-photosensitizer conjugate enables efficient photothermal显示文摘Mild photothermal therapy combined with immune checkpoint blockade has received increasing attention for the treatment of advanced or metastatic cancers due to its good therapeutic efficacy.However,it remains a challenge to facilely integrate the two therapies and make it potential for clinical translation.This work designed a peptide-photosensitizer conjugate(PPC),which consisted of a PD-L1 antagonist peptide(CVRARTR),an MMP-2 specific cleavable sequence,a self-assembling motif,and the photosensitizer Purpurin 18.The single-component PPC can self-assemble into nanospheres which is suitable for intravenous injection.The PPC nanosphere is cleaved by MMP-2 when it accumulates in tumor sites,thereby initiating the cancer-specific release of the antagonist peptide.Simultaneously,the nanospheres gradually transform into co-assembled nanofibers,which promotes the retention of the remaining parts within the tumor.In vivo studies demonstrated that PPC nanospheres under laser irradiation promote the infiltration of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and maturation of DCs,which sensitize 4T1 tumor cells to immune checkpoint blockade therapy.Therefore,PPC nanospheres inhibit tumor growth efficiently both in situ and distally and blocked the formation of lung metastases.The present study provides a simple and efficient integrated strategy for breast cancer photoimmunotherapy.Yanan Sun Bochen Lyu Chang Yang Bing He Hua Zhang Xueqing Wang Qiang Zhang Wenbing Dai 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,4:4
17Efficiency of Slit Dam Prevention against Non-Viscous Debris Flow显示文摘This paper describes an experimental work in order to assess the efficiency of slit dam on non-viscous debris flow. Some results have been acquired as follows: ① there are three kinds of blocking type: Total-blocking, opening and part-blocking. The blocking conditions of slit dam are closely link to b/d_ max (the ratio of slit width to maximum diameter of solid matter), as b/d_ max is less than 0.739, the slit dam is total- blocking; and b/d_ max is more than 1.478, the slit dam will be opening; whereas b/d_ max ranges from 0.739 to 1.478, the slit dam is part-blocking. ② Variation of the mean density passing through slit dam is the most obvious as b/d_ max ranges from 0.739 to 1.232. ③ According to experimental results, slit dams have been shown to be effective in reducing debris flow density while slit density ∑b/B (B is slit dam width) ranges from 0.2 to 0.5.HAN Wenbing OU Guoqiang 2006Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2006,11,4:4
18δ^(13)C and water-use efficiency indicated by δ^(13)C of different plant functional groups on Changbai Mountains, Northeast China显示文摘Leaf δ13C of different plant functional groups (trees, shrubs and forbs; evergreen and deciduous; annual, biennial and perennial) were examined on the Changbai Mountains, China. Life form has a significant influence on plant δ13C, suggesting that leaf δ13C is also ideal for distinguishing functional groups species in temperate and frigid zones with high humidity. Additionally, the difference of water-use efficiency (WUE) is significant among different plant functional groups. δ13C and WUE are in the following order of forbs < shrubs < trees. Within shrubs, δ13C and WUE are higher for evergreen shrubs than deciduous shrubs. 20Seasonal Distribution of Bioaerosols in the Coastal Region of Qingdao显示文摘Bioaerosols were collected by using a six-stage bioaerosols sampler from September 2007 to August 2008 in the coastal region of Qingdao, China. The terrestrial and marine microbes(including bacteria and fungi) were analyzed in order to understand the distribution features of bioaerosols. The results show that the average monthly concentrations of terrestrial bacteria, marine bacteria, terrestrial fungi and marine fungi are in the ranges of 80–615 CFU m-3, 91–468 CFU m-3, 76–647 CFU m-3 and 231–1959 CFU m-3, respectively. The concentrations of terrestrial bacteria, marine bacteria, terrestrial fungi, marine fungi and total microbes are the highest in each microbial category during fall, high in spring, and the lowest in the summer and winter. The bacterial particles are coarse in spring, autumn and winter.
