3Formation history and protolith characteristics of granulite facies metamorphic rock in Central Cathaysia deduced from U-Pb and Lu-Hf isotopic studies of single zircon grains显示文摘The petrochemical as well as zircon U-Pb and Lu-Hf isotopic studies of granulite facies metamorphic rock from the Taoxi Group in eastern Nanling Range, Central Cathaysia indicate that its protolith is the sedimentary rock with low maturation index. The clastic materials are mostly from middle Neoproterozoic (~736 Ma) granitoid rocks with minor Neoarchaean and Paleoproterozoic rocks. The timing of this Neoproterozoic magmatism is in agreement with the second period of magmatism widespread surrounding the Yangtze Block. Hf isotopic data indicate that the Neoproterozoic granitoids resulted from the recycled Paleoproterozoic mantle-derived crustal materials. The sedimentary rock was deposited in Late Neoproterozoic Era, and carried into low crust in Early Paleozoic. The partial melting of the meta-sedimentary rock took place at about 480 Ma and subsequently granulite facies metamorphism occurred at ca. 443 Ma. The zircons forming during this time interval (Early Paleozoic) show large Hf isotope variations, and their -Hf(t) values increase from -13.2 to +2.36 with decreasing age, suggesting the injection of mantle-derived materials during partial melting and metamorphism processes in the Early Paleozoic. Calculation results show that this metamorphic rock, if evolved to Mesozoic, has similar isotopic composition to the nearby Mesozoic high Si peraluminous granites, implying that this kind of granulite facies metamorphic rock is probably the source material of some Mesozoic peraluminous granitoids in eastern Nanling Range.YU Jinhai ZHOU Xinmin Y. 4What is going on in magnesium alloys?显示文摘China has been developed into one of the most active regions in terms of both fundamental and applied research on magnesium(Mg) and its alloys in the world from a solid base laid by its prominent metallurgist and materials scientists over the past decades. Nowadays, a large number of young-generation researchers have been inspired by their predecessors and become the key participants in the fields of Mg alloys, which consequently led to the establishment of China Youth Scholar Society for Magnesium Alloys Research in 2015. Since then, the first two China Youth Scholars Symposiums on Mg Alloys Research had been held at Harbin(2015) and Chongqing(2016) China, respectively. A number of crucial research interests related to fundamental and applied Mg research were discussed at the conferences and summarized in this short perspective, aiming to boost far-reaching initiatives for development of new Mg-based materials to satisfy the requirements for a broad range of industrial employments. Herein, four main aspects are included as follows: i) Plastic deformation mechanism and strengthening strategy, ii) Design and development of new Mg-based materials, iii) Key service properties, and iv) New processing technologies.X.J. 7NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF ROUND TO OVAL ROLLING PROCESS显示文摘Three dimensional thermal-mechanical coupled elasto-plastic FEM has been used for simulation of round to oval single pass rolling. The analysis was conducted using MARC/AUTOFORCE1. 2 code. The material is assumed to be elasto-plastic and it obey the Von Mises yield criterion and Prandtl- Reuss rule. Deformation of the workpiece is simulated in a step-by-step manner,updating the coordinates of material points and the property after each step, so that both nonsteady-state and stendy-state deformation can be simulated. 8急性胰腺炎中胃裸区和左肾上腺受累的腹部CT特点及预后价值显示文摘显示急性胰腺炎(AP)中胃裸区受累(GBAI)和左肾上腺受累(LAGI)的cT表现,并评价其预后价值。回顾性分析了2003年1月至2006年12月间的116例AP病人的cT表现。34例GBAI病人(29.3%)显示胃裸区模糊、条带状高密度或积液,18例LAGI病人(15.5%)显示左肾上腺变形和密度减低。伴有GBAI和LAGI的AP病人的平均住院期长于不伴GBAI与LAGI的病人(P〈0.001)。GBAI预测并发症的敏感度和特异度分别为43.3%和89.8%,预测死亡率的敏感度和特异度分别为83.3%和73.6%。Z. 10Shifts of the Kuroshio axis over the last 20 000 years显示文摘Core 255 from the southern Okinawa Trough was selected to monitor the shift of the Kuroshio axis over the last 20 000 years. During the last glacial maximum the Kuroshio axis had ever shifted outside the Okinawa Trough. It entered the Okinawa Trough again at about 6 500 a BP, leading to abrupt increase of sedimentation rate, distinctly coarser sediment and remarkably increased abundance of foraminiferal indicators of the Kuroshio in the core. But, during about 4 000-3 000 a BP the abundance of the Kuroshio indicator Pulleniatina obliquiloculata sharply decreased again, indicating that the Kuroshio axis had ever shifted easterly for a short period or the Kuroshio was weakened and that moment.Jian Zhimin Y. 11EFFECT OF CHEMICAL COMPOSITION ON RETAINED AUSTENITE IN TRIP STEEL显示文摘The systematic chemical compositions including common C, Si, Mn, Al, and micro- alloying elements of Ti and Nb were designed for high volume fraction of retained austenite as much as possible. The thermo-cycle experiments were conducted by using Gleeble 2000 thermo-dynamic test machine for finding the appropriate composition. 13STUDY ON THE SHOCK WAVE CRYSTALLIZATION OF AMORPHOUS ALLOYS BY DSC显示文摘Shock wave and annealing crystallization of amorphous alloys FeSiB, FeMoSiB andFeCuNbSiB were studied by isothermal and non-isothermal DSC technique. It wasfound that the shock wave crystallization is very perfect, the fraction crystallized isvery close to 100%, though the period of crystallization is very short, only about10-4-10-6 s. Their produced phases differ from the parent phase in structure andcomposition. 16Tooth regeneration: a revolution in stomatology and evolution in regenerative medicine显示文摘A tooth is a complex biological organ and consists of multiple tissues including the enamel, dentin, cementum and pulp. Tooth loss is the most common organ failure. Can a tooth be regenerated? Can adult stem cells be orchestrated to regenerate tooth structures such as the enamel, dentin, cementum and dental pulp, or even an entire tooth? If not, what are the therapeutically viable sources of stem cells for tooth regeneration? Do stem cells necessarily need to be taken out of the body, and manipulated ex vivo before they are transplanted for tooth regeneration? How can regenerated teeth be economically competitive with dental implants? Would it be possible to make regenerated teeth affordable by a large segment of the population worldwide? This review article explores existing and visionary approaches that address some of the above-mentioned questions. Tooth regeneration represents a revolution in stomatology as a shift in the paradigm from repair to regeneration: repair is by metal or artificial materials whereas regeneration is by biological restoration. 18Optimization of N18 Zirconium Alloy for Fuel Cladding of Water Reactors显示文摘In order to optimize the microstructure and composition of N18 zirconium alloy(Zr-1Sn-0.35Nb-0.35Fe-0.1Cr,in mass fraction,%),which was developed in China in 1990s,the effect of microstructure and composition variation on the corrosion resistance of the N18 alloy has been investigated.The autoclave corrosion tests were carried out in super heated steam at 400 ℃/10.3 MPa,in deionized water or lithiated water with 0.01 mol/L LiOH at 360 ℃/18.6 MPa.The exposure time lasted for 300-550 days according to the test temperature.The results show that the microstructure with a fine and uniform distribution of second phase particles(SPPs),and the decrease of Sn content from 1%(in mass fraction,the same as follows) to 0.8% are of benefit to improving the corrosion resistance;It is detrimental to the corrosion resistance if no Cr addition.The addition of Nb content with upper limit(0.35%) is beneficial to improving the corrosion resistance.The addition of Cu less than 0.1% shows no remarkable influence upon the corrosion resistance for N18 alloy.Comparing the corrosion resistance of the optimized N18 with other commercial zirconium alloys,such as Zircaloy-4,ZIRLO,E635 and E110,the former shows superior corrosion resistance in all autoclave testing conditions mentioned above.Although the data of the corrosion resistance as fuel cladding for high burn-up has not been obtained yet,it is believed that the optimized N18 alloy is promising for the candidate of fuel cladding materials as high burn-up fuel assemblies.Based on the theory that the microstructural evolution of oxide layer during corrosion process will affect the corrosion resistance of zirconium alloys,the improvement of corrosion resistance of the N18 alloy by obtaining the microstructure with nano-size and uniform distribution of SPPs,and by decreasing the content of Sn and maintaining the content of Cr is discussed.B.X. 19NUMERICAL MODELING OF SUSPENDED SEDIMENT TRANSPORT IN CHANNEL BENDS显示文摘An algorithm to compute three-dimensional sediment transport effect was proposed in this paper to enhance the capability of depth-averaged numerical models. This algorithm took into account of non-uniform distributions of flow velocities and suspended sediment concentrations along water depth, it significantly enhanced the applicability of 2D models in simulating open channel flows, especially in channel bends. Preliminary numerical experiments in a U-shaped and a sine-generated experimental channel indicate that the proposed method performs quite well in predicting the change of bed-deformation in channel bends due to suspended sediment transport. 20ION HEATING PROCESS DURING PLASMA IMMERSION ION IMPLANTATION显示文摘The research on plasma immersion ion implantation has been conducted for a little over ten years. Much is needed to investigate including processing technlogy, plasma sheath dynamics, interaction of plasma and surface, etc. Of the processing methods elavated temperature technique is usually used in PIII to produce a thick modified layer by means of the thermal diffusion. Meanwhile plasma ion heating is more recently developed by Ronghua Wei et al[1]. Therefore the temeperature is a critical parameter in plasma ion processing.
