| 1 | Anticorrosion behavior of conversion coatings obtained from unbuffered cerium salts solutions on AA6061-T6显示文摘The anticorrosive properties of cerium based conversion coatings deposited on AA6061-T6 alloy by immersion in unbuffered cerium chloride and cerium nitrate solutions in the presence of hydrogen peroxide were investigated and characterized by potentiodynamic polarization(PDP) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) in 0.5 mol/L NaCl aqueous solution.The microstructure and chemicalcomposition of the protective films were examined by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS).It was found that the best corrosion protection was afforded by the samples treated during 600 s in cerium chloride solution at pH values~5.5-4,showing higher amounts of cerium and polarization resistance values greater than 10 Ω m2.Moreover,an ennoblement of the corrosion potential and decreasing of the cathodic and anodic currents were obtained compared with the cerium nitrate solutions application.Thisbehavior was attributed to the influence of the deposition parameters such as type of the salt anion,i.e.,chelating effect and chaotropic characteristics,pH fluctuations in the conversion solution and deposition time. | KIYOTA Sayuri VALDEZ Benjamin STOYTCHEVA Margarita ZLATEV Roumen BASTIDAS Jose Maria | 2011 | Journal of Rare Earths2011，29，10： | 11 |
| 2 | Effect of human disturbance on the structure and regeneration of forests in the Nevado de Toluca National Park, Mexico显示文摘Sample plots were established in the principal forest types in the the Nevado de Toluca National Park, Mexico including those dominated by Pinus hartwegii, Abies religiosa, Quercus laurina and Alnus jorullensis. The vertical structure was defined by three strata in the coniferous forests and two strata in the broadleaved forests. Timber harvesting in Abies religiosa and Quercus laurina forests and fires generated by humans in Pinus hartwegii forests impeded the recruitment of saplings. Mature trees were also heavily impacted by logging in Pinus hartwegii forests. On the contrary, Alnus jorullensis forests were increasing due to the disturbance of Pinus and Quercus forests, as well abandoned crop lands within the park. A combination of logging, uncontrolled fire, and grazing appears to be compromising the recruitment of important tree species in this national park. These factors, together with human settlements, have also increased the proportion of early successional species. | 3 | Therapeutic effect of Streptococcus thermophilus CRL 1190-fermented milk on chronic gastritis显示文摘AIM: To investigate the potential therapeutic effect of exopolysaccharide (EPS)-producing Streptococcus thermophilus (S. thermophilus) CRL 1190 fermented milk on chronic gastritis in Balb/c mice. METHODS: Balb/c mice were fed with the fermented milk for 7 d after inducing gastritis with acetyl-salicylic acid (ASA, 400 mg/kg body weight per day for 10 d). Omeprazole was included in this study as a positive therapeutic control. The gastric in? ammatory activity was evaluated from gastric histology and in? ammation score, number of interleukin-10 (IL-10), interferon-γ (INFγ) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) cytokine-producing cells in the gastric mucosa, and thickness of the mucus layer. RESULTS: Animals receiving treatment with the EPS-producing S. thermophilus CRL 1190 fermented milk showed a conserved gastric mucosa structure similar to that of healthy animals. In? ammation scores of the fermented milk-treated mice were lower than those of mice in the gastritis group (0.2 ± 0.03 vs 2.0 ± 0.6, P < 0.05). A marked decrease in INFγ+ (15 ± 1.0 vs 28 ± 1.2, P < 0.05) and TNF-α+ (16 ± 3.0 vs 33 ± 3.0, P < 0.05) cells and an increase in IL-10+ (28 ± 1.5 vs 14 ± 1.3, P < 0.05) cells compared to the gastritis group, was observed. Also, an increase in the thickness of the mucus gel layer (2.2 ± 0.6 vs 1.0 ± 0.3; 5.1 ± 0.8 vs 1.5 ± 0.4 in the corpus and antrum mucosa, respectively, P < 0.05) compared with the gastritis group was noted. | 4 | Microhardness,Microstructure and Electrochemical Efficiency of an Al(Zn/xMg) Alloy after Thermal Treatment显示文摘The influence of Mg on the microhardness,microstructure and electrochemical efficiency of Al(Zn/xMg) alloys have been investigated.Al(Zn/xMg) alloys were prepared by metal mould casting method to diminish the process cost and to generate an alloy with homogenous microstructure and less casting porosity.Vickers hardness,X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy were performed to determine the Mg influence on the AlZn alloy.Electrochemical efficiency was used to relate the influence of Mg with the thermal treatment on the corrosion behavior of the Al(Zn/xMg) alloy.The results reveals the presence of Al 32(MgZn) 49 phase for two events;the first is when the Mg content is above 5.49% in as-cast condition,and the second after the thermal treatment is carried out at 450℃ for 5 h.The results also show that the microhardness and electrochemical efficiency have been influenced by the presence of Al 32(MgZn) 49 phase.The addition of Mg modifies the microstructure,increases the content of Al 32(MgZn) 49 phase and improves the electrochemical efficiency. | Socorro Valdez M.Suarez O.A.Fregoso J.A.Juárez-Islas | 2012 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2012，28，3： | 4 |
