| 1 | Single-phase high-entropy intermetallic compounds(HEICs): bridging high-entropy alloys and ceramics显示文摘High-entropy intermetallic compounds(HEICs)were fabricated by mechanical alloying and spark plasma sintering to fill a knowledge gap between the traditional high-entropy alloys(HEAs)and emerging highentropy ceramics(HECs).Notably,several four-or five-component equimolar aluminides,such as the B2-phase(Fe1/5 Co1/5 Ni1/5 Mn1/5 Cu1/5)Al,have been made into single-phase HEICs for the first time.Thermodynamic modeling and a reversible,temperature-dependent,phase-stability experiment suggest that such B2-phase HEICs are entropy-stabilized phases.The structure of these HEICs resembles that of HECs with high-entropy mixing of fo ur or five elements of nearly equal fractions in one and only one sublattice,but with significant(10%)anti-site defects(differing from typical HECs).A new phase stability rule for forming single B2-phase HEICs is proposed.Five additional HEICs of predominantly D022 phases have also been made.This study broadens the families of equimola r,single-phase,high-entropy materials that have been successfully fabricated. | Naixie Zhou Sicong Jiang Timothy Huang Mingde Qin Tao Hu Jian Luo | 2019 | Science Bulletin2019,64,12: | 8 |
| 2 | A novel near-infrared light responsive 4D printed nanoarchitecture with dynamically and remotely controllable transformation显示文摘Four-dimensional (4D) printing is an emerging and highly innovative additive manufacturing process by which to fabricate pre-designed,self-assembly structures with the ability to transform over time.However,one of the critical challenges of 4D printing is the lack of advanced 4D printing systems that not only meet all the essential requirements of shape change but also possess smart,dynamic capabilities to spatiotemporally and instantly control the shape-transformation process.Here,we present a facile 4D printing platform which incorporates nanomaterials into the conventional stimuli-responsive polymer,allowing the 4D printed object to achieve a dynamic and remote controlled,on-time and position shape transformation.A proof-of-concept 4D printed brain model was created using near-infrared light (NIR) responsive nanocomposite to evaluate the capacity for controllable 4D transformation,and the feasibility of photothermal stimulation for modulating neural stem cell behaviors.This novel 4D printing strategy can not only be used to create dynamic 3D patterned biological structures that can spatiotemporally control their shapes or behaviors of transformation under a human benign stimulus (NIR),but can also provide a potential method for building complex self-morphing objects for widespread applications. | Haitao Cui Shida Miao Timothy Esworthy Se-jun Lee Xuan Zhou Sung Yun Hann Thomas J.Webster Brent T.Harris Lijie Grace Zhang | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,6: | 3 |

| 5 | Predictors and long-term prognosis of early and late recurrence for patients undergoing hepatic resection of hepatocellular carcinoma: a large-scale multicenter study显示文摘Recurrence is common among patients undergoing hepatic resection for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),which greatly limits long-term survival.We aimed to identify predictors and long-term prognosis of early and late recurrence after HCC resection.Methods:Multicenter data of patients who underwent HCC resection between 2002 and 2016 were analyzed.Recurrence was divided into early(≤2 years)and late recurrence(>2 years after surgery).Predictors of early and late recurrence,and prognostic factors of post-recurrence survival(PRS)were identified by univariate and multivariate analyses.Results:Among 1,426 patients,554(38.8%)and 348(24.4%)developed early and late recurrence,respectively.Independent predictors associated with early recurrence included preoperative alpha-fetoprotein level>400μg/L,resection margin<1 cm,and tumor size>5.0 cm,multiplicity,macrovascular and microvascular invasion,and satellites of the initial tumor at the first diagnosis of HCC;independent predictors associated with late recurrence included male,cirrhosis,and tumor size>5.0 cm,multiplicity,macrovascular and microvascular invasion,and satellites of the initial tumor.Patients with early recurrence had a lower likelihood of undergoing potentially curative treatments for recurrence(37.2%vs.48.0%,P<0.001)and a worse median PRS(13.5 vs.36.6 months,P<0.001)vs.patients who had late recurrence.Multivariate analysis revealed that early recurrence and irregular postoperative surveillance were independently associated with worse PRS[hazard ratio(HR)=1.250,95%CI:1.016-1.538,P=0.035;and HR=1.983,95%CI:1.677-2.345,P<0.001].Conclusions:Predictors associated with early and late recurrence after curative resection for patients with HCC were generally same,although several did differ.Patients with late recurrence had better long-term survival than patients with early recurrence. | Wen-Tao Yan Chao Li Lan-Qing Yao Hai-Bo Qiu Ming-Da Wang Xin-Fei Xu Ya-Hao Zhou Hong Wang Ting-Hao Chen Wei-Min Gu Jian-Hong Zhong Han Wu Timothy M.Pawlik Wan Yee Lau Feng Shen Tian Yang | 2023 | Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2023,12,2: | 2 |
