| 1 | Identification of a novel coronavirus causing severe pneumonia in human:a descriptive study显示文摘Background:Human infections with zoonotic coronaviruses(CoVs),including severe acute respiratory syndrome(SARS)-CoV and Middle East respiratory syndrome(MERS)-CoV,have raised great public health concern globally.Here,we report a novel batorigin CoV causing severe and fatal pneumonia in humans.Methods:We collected clinical data and bronchoalveolar lavage(BAL)specimens from five patients with severe pneumonia from Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital,Hubei province,China.Nucleic acids of the BAL were extracted and subjected to next-generation sequencing.Virus isolation was carried out,and maximum-likelihood phylogenetic trees were constructed.Results:Five patients hospitalized from December 18 to December 29,2019 presented with fever,cough,and dyspnea accompanied by complications of acute respiratory distress syndrome.Chest radiography revealed diffuse opacities and consolidation.One of these patients died.Sequence results revealed the presence of a previously unknownβ-CoV strain in all five patients,with 99.8%to 99.9%nucleotide identities among the isolates.These isolates showed 79.0%nucleotide identity with the sequence of SARS-CoV(GenBank NC_004718)and 51.8%identity with the sequence of MERS-CoV(GenBank NC_019843).The virus is phylogenetically closest to a bat SARS-like CoV(SL-ZC45,GenBank MG772933)with 87.6%to 87.7%nucleotide identity,but is in a separate clade.Moreover,these viruses have a single intact open reading frame gene 8,as a further indicator of bat-origin CoVs.However,the amino acid sequence of the tentative receptor-binding domain resembles that of SARS-CoV,indicating that these viruses might use the same receptor.Conclusion:A novel bat-borne CoV was identified that is associated with severe and fatal respiratory disease in humans. | Li-Li Ren Ye-Ming Wang Zhi-Qiang Wu Zi-Chun Xiang Li Guo Teng Xu Yong-Zhong Jiang Yan Xiong Yong-Jun Li Xing-Wang Li Hui Li Guo-Hui Fan Xiao-Ying Gu Yan Xiao Hong Gao Jiu-Yang Xu Fan Yang Xin-Ming Wang Chao Wu Lan Chen Yi-Wei Liu Bo Liu Jian Yang Xiao-Rui Wang Jie Dong Li Li Chao-Lin Huang Jian-Ping Zhao Yi Hu Zhen-Shun Cheng Un-Lin Liu Zhao-Hui Qian Chuan Qin Qi Jin Bin Cao Jian-Wei Wang | 2020 | Chinese Medical Journal2020,,9: | 99 |

| 6 | Crack monitoring method based on Cu coating sensor and electrical potential technique for metal structure显示文摘Advanced crack monitoring technique is the cornerstone of aircraft structural health monitoring.To achieve real-time crack monitoring of aircraft metal structures in the course of service,a new crack monitoring method is proposed based on Cu coating sensor and electrical potential difference principle.Firstly,insulation treatment process was used to prepare a dielectric layer on structural substrate,such as an anodizing layer on 2A12-T4 aluminum alloy substrate,and then a Cu coating crack monitoring sensor was deposited on the structure fatigue critical parts by pulsed bias arc ion plating technology.Secondly,the damage consistency of the Cu coating sensor and2A12-T4 aluminum alloy substrate was investigated by static tensile experiment and fatigue test.The results show that strain values of the coating sensor and the 2A12-T4 aluminum alloy substrate measured by strain gauges are highly coincident in static tensile experiment and the sensor has excellent fatigue damage consistency with the substrate.Thirdly,the fatigue performance discrepancy between samples with the coating sensor and original samples was investigated.The result shows that there is no obvious negative influence on the fatigue performance of the 2A12-T4 aluminum alloy after preparing the Cu coating sensor on its surface.Finally,crack monitoring experiment was carried out with the Cu coating sensor.The experimental results indicate that the sensor is sensitive to crack,and crack origination and propagation can be monitored effectively through analyzing the change of electrical potential values of the coating sensor. | Hou Bo He Yuting Cui Ronghong Gao Chao Zhang Teng | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,3: | 10 |

| 8 | lncRNA NEAT1 promotes the Taxol resistance of breast cancer via sponging the miR-23a-3p-FOXA1 axis显示文摘Breast cancer is the most prevalent malignancy among women worldwide.Paclitaxel(Taxol)is a widely applied chemotherapeutic agent against breast cancer.Although Taxol therapy has achieved improvements recently,development of chemoresistance of breast cancer patients is a major obstacle,leading to therapeutic failure.Long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)play pivotal roles in tumorigenesis and progresses of breast cancer.However,the biological roles and molecular targets of lncRNA NEAT1 in Taxol-resistant breast cancer remain unclear.Here,we report that NEAT1 is significantly upregulated in breast tumors and cell lines.In addition,silencing NEAT1 effectively sensitizes breast cancer cells to Taxol.Bioinformatical analysis and luciferase assay demonstrated that miR-23a-3p could be sponged and downregulated by NEAT1.We demonstrated that miR-23a-3p was downregulated and functioned as a tumor suppressor in breast cancer.Furthermore,in the established Taxol-resistant MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cell line,we detected significantly increased NEAT1 expression and downregulated miR-23a-3p expression.Importantly,FOXA1 was identified and validated as a direct target of miR-23a-3p in breast cancer cells.Rescue experiments demonstrated that the restoration of miR-23a-3p in NEAT1-overexpressing Taxol-resistant breast cancer cells successfully overcame the NEAT1-promoted Taxol resistance.Taken together,our results revealed the clinical roles and molecular mechanisms for the NEAT1-mediated chemoresistance,providing new insights into the development of non-coding RNA-based therapeutic strategies for enhancing the anti-cancer effects of traditional chemotherapeutic drugs. | Lin Zhu Fengchun Wang Wenhui Fan Zhi Jin Chao Teng Jianxin Zhang | 2021 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,9: | 7 |
| 9 | Rh-incompatible hemolytic disease of the newborn in Hefei显示文摘BACKGROUND Anti-D antibody is not the common cause of Rh-isoimmunization in Chinese neonatal jaundice.Recent change in national population policy has followed by an increase in Rh-isoimmunization related hemolytic disease of the newborn(HDN).Unfortunately,regional status of Rh-HDN is unavailable.We hypothesize that Rh-HDN in our region is most commonly due to anti-E antibody.AIM To investigate the prevalence of hemolytic disease of the newborn due to Rhisoimmunization in Hefei City.METHODS Retrospective review of data obtained from Children’s Hospital of Anhui and Hefei Blood Center between January 2017 and June 2019.Status of minor blood group antibody was studied in the corresponding mothers.RESULTS Totally 4138 newborns with HDN admitted during the study period and 116(2.8%)received blood exchange transfusion(BET).Eighteen newborns(0.43%)with proven Rh-incompatible HDN were identified.All were not the first-born baby.Thirteen mothers were RhD(+)(72%)and five were RhD(-).The distribution of Rh-related antibodies in mothers was ten anti-E(55%),five anti-D(27%),and for one anti-C,anti-c,and anti-E/c(6%)each.Thirteen(72.2%)were qualified for BET,relative risk for BET was 28.9 as compared to other types of HDN,but only 10 received due to parenteral refusal.All(100%)RhD related HDN received BET which is not significantly different from RhE related HDN(81.8%).CONCLUSION As expected,all Rh-incompatible HDN newborns were not the first-born.Contrary to the Caucasian population,anti-D induced HDN is not the most common etiology.In our region,anti-E(11/18,61%)is the most common cause of Rh-HDN. | Shao-Hua Bi Liang-Liang Jiang Li-Ying Dai Hong Zheng Jian Zhang Li-Li Wang Chao Wang Qiao Jiang Yu Liu Yong-Li Zhang Juan Wang Chao Zhu Guang-Hui Liu Ru-Jeng Teng | 2019 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2019,7,20: | 7 |
| 10 | Estrogen and insulin synergistically promote endometrial cancer progression via crosstalk between their receptor signaling pathways显示文摘Objective: Despite evidence that estrogens and insulin are involved in the development and progression of many cancers, their synergistic role in endometrial carcinoma(EC) has not been analyzed yet.Methods: Here, we investigated how estrogens act synergistically with insulin to promote EC progression. Cell growth in vitro and in vivo, effects of estradiol and insulin on apoptosis and cell cycle distribution, and expression and activation of estrogen receptor(ER), insulin receptor(InsR), and key proteins in the PI3K and MAPK pathways were examined after combined stimulation with estradiol and insulin.Results: Compared to EC cells treated with estradiol or insulin alone, those treated with both estradiol and insulin exhibited stronger stimulation. Estradiol significantly induced phosphorylation of InsR-β and IRS-1, whereas insulin significantly induced phosphorylation of ER-α. In addition, treatment with both insulin and estradiol together significantly increased the expression and phosphorylation of Akt, MAPK, and ERK. Notably, InsR-β inhibition had a limited effect on estradiol-dependent proliferation,cell cycle, and apoptosis, whereas ER-α inhibition had a limited insulin-dependent effect, in EC cell lines. Exhaustive experimental data are first collected to extend the UNIFAC-IL model for this system, where the proximity effect in alkanes and cycloalkanes is considered specifically by defining distinct groups. The thermodynamic performances of a large number of ILs for 4 different alkane/cycloalkane systems are then compared to select a representative example of such separations. By applying n-heptane/methylcyclohexane extractive distillation as a case study, the CAILD task is cast as a mixed-integer nonlinear programming(MINLP) problem based on the obtained task-specific UNIFAC-IL model and two semi-empirical models for IL physical properties. | 19 | Moisture transfer and phase change in unsaturated soils: an experimental study of two types of canopy effect显示文摘Canopy effect refers to the phenomenon in which moisture accumulates underneath an impervious cover.A canopy effect can lead to full saturation of the soil underneath the impervious cover.A recent theoretical study separates the canopy effect into two types.The first one is caused by evaporation-condensation in unsaturated soils,while the second one is induced by freezing-enhanced vapour transfer in unsaturated soils.To validate experimentally these two types of canopy effect and to reveal their mechanisms,moisture-migration experiments were carried out,using a newly developed laboratory apparatus for unsaturated frozen soils.Six conditions were applied to the calcareous sand,with different initial water contents and boundary temperatures.The results show that water content in the upper portion of the sample increased under an upward temperature gradient,and the increment of water content was greater if the soil was subjected to freezing.For the freezing cases,the depth of the peak water content was in line with the freezing front.And the greater the initial water content,the more the water content accumulated at the freezing front.However,a lower cooling rate seemed to facilitate vapour migration.For the unfrozen cases,the water content in the upper portion of the sample also increased;and the increases became more apparent with a higher initial moisture content.The temperature gradient can also inhibit the vapour migration.A less steep temperature gradient always resulted in a more notable inhibition effect.Test results seem to verify the theory of the canopy effect. | Zuo Yue He Ji Dong Teng Sheng Zhang Dai Chao Sheng | 2017 | Research in Cold and Arid Regions2017,9,3: | 2 |
| 20 | Associations between serum uric acid and hepatobiliary-pancreatic cancer:A cohort study显示文摘BACKGROUND Uric acid is the end product of purine metabolism.Previous studies have found that serum uric acid(SUA)levels are associated with the total cancer risk.However,due to the dual effect of uric acid on cancer,the relationship between the SUA levels and most specific-site cancer remains unclear.AIM To investigate the associations between the SUA levels and incidence of hepatobiliary-pancreatic cancer.METHODS In this prospective cohort study,444462 participants free of cancer from the UK Biobank were included.The SUA levels were measured at baseline,and the incidence of hepatobiliary-pancreatic cancer was determined by contacting the cancer registry.The hazard ratios(HRs)and 95%confidence intervals(CIs)between the SUA levels and hepatobiliary-pancreatic cancer were investigated using multiple adjusted Cox regression models adjusted for potential confounders.RESULTS In total,920 participants developed liver,gallbladder,biliary tract or pancreatic cancer during a median of 6.6 yrs of follow-up.We found that the HR of pancreatic cancer in the highest SUA group was 1.77(95%CI:1.29-2.42)compared with that in the lowest group.After stratifying by gender,we further found that SUA was associated with an increased risk of pancreatic cancer only among the females(highest quartile vs lowest quartile HR 2.04,95%CI:1.35-3.08).Among the males,the SUA levels were positively associated with the gallbladder cancer risk(highest quartile vs lowest quartile HR 3.09,95%CI:1.28-7.46),but a U-shaped association with the liver cancer risk was observed(P-nonlinear=0.03).CONCLUSION SUA is likely to have gender-specific effects on hepatobiliary-pancreatic cancer.High SUA levels are a risk factor for pancreatic cancer in females and gallbladder cancer in males.A U-shaped association with the liver cancer risk was identified. | Chong-Fei Huang Jun-Jun Huang Ning-Ning Mi Yan-Yan Lin Qiang-Sheng He Ya-Wen Lu Ping Yue Bing Bai Jin-Duo Zhang Chao Zhang Teng Cai Wen-Kang Fu Long Gao Xun Li Jin-Qiu Yuan Wen-Bo Meng | 2020 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,44: | 2 |
