| 1 | A Parallel Genetic Simulated Annealing Hybrid Algorithm for Task Scheduling显示文摘In this paper combined with the advantages of genetic algorithm and simulated annealing, brings forward a parallel genetic simulated annealing hybrid algorithm (PGSAHA) and applied to solve task scheduling problem in grid computing .It first generates a new group of individuals through genetic operation such as reproduction, crossover, mutation, etc, and than simulated anneals independently all the generated individuals respectively. When the temperature in the process of cooling no longer falls, the result is the optimal solution on the whole. | 2 | Cryopreservation of Gametophytes of Laminaria japonica (Phaeophyta) Using Encapsulation-Dehydration with Two-Step Cooling Method显示文摘Gametophytes of Laminaria japonica were cryopreserved in liquid nitrogen using encapsulation-dehydration with two-step cooling method. Gametophytes cultured at 10℃ and under continuous irradiance of 30 μmol m-2 s-1 for 3 weeks were en- capsulated in calcium alginate beads. The beads were dehydrated in 0.4 molL-1 sucrose prepared with seawater for 6 h, desiccated in an incubator set at 10℃ and 70% relative humidity for 4 h, pre-frozen at either ?40℃ or ?60℃ for 30 min, and stored in liquid nitrogen for >24 h. As high as 43% of survival rate was observed when gametophytes were thawed by placing the beads in 40℃ seawater and re-hydrated in 0.05 molL-1 citrate sodium prepared using 30‰ NaCl 7 d later. More cells of male gametophytes sur- vived the whole procedure in comparison with female gametophytes. | 4 | Influence of Temperature and Salinity on Germination of Eelgrass (Zostera marina L.) Seeds显示文摘Seagrass restoration as part of ocean ecosystem protection has been launched for many years all over the world, but intensive research on this subject in China has just begun in recent years. Seed broadcasting has been widely accepted as the most potentially useful method for seagrass restoration over large areas. We examined the influence of key environmental factors on seed germination to help promote eelgrass bed restoration. Under anoxic conditions, the influence of temperature and salinity on the germination rate of eelgrass (Zostera marina L.) seeds was examined at different combinations of four temperatures (4, 9, 14, and 24℃) and nine salinities (5 to 45, increment of 5). The effect of significant interaction of temperature and salinity on germination rate was observed (ANOVA) (P<0.001). The highest germination rate (83.3 ± 3.5)% was reached in 8 weeks at 14℃ and salinity 5. Higher temperature significantly increased the germination rate at salinity 5 (P<0.001) during the whole observation period except for 24℃, while lower salinity significantly increased the germination rate at 14℃ (P<0.001). Although significant interaction was found between temperature and salinity (P<0.001), the influence of salinity was stronger than that of temperature for the germination of eelgrass seeds. | 5 | A novel tomato SUMO E_3 ligase,SlSIZ_1,confers drought tolerance in transgenic tobacco显示文摘SUMOylation is an important post-translational modification process that regulates different cellular functions in eukaryotes.SIZ/PIAS-type SAP and Miz1(SIZ_1) proteins exhibit SUMO E_3 ligase activity,which modulates SUMOylation.However,SIZ_1 in tomato has been rarely investigated.In this study,a tomato SIZ_1 gene(Sl SIZ_1)was isolated and its molecular characteristics and role in tolerance to drought stress are described.Sl SIZ_1 was upregulated by cold,sodium chloride(Na Cl),polyethylene glycol(PEG),hydrogen peroxide(H_2O_2) and abscisic acid(ABA),and the corresponding proteins were localized in the nucleus.The expression of Sl SIZ_1 in Arabidopsis thaliana(Arabidopsis) siz1-2 mutants partially complemented the phenotypes of dwarf,cold sensitivity and ABA hypersensitivity.Sl SIZ_1 also exhibited the activity of SUMO E_3 ligase to promote the accumulation of SUMO conjugates.Under drought stress,the ectopic expression of Sl SIZ_1 in transgenic tobacco lines enhanced seed germination and reduced the accumulation of reactive oxygen species.SlSIZ_1 overexpression conferred the plants with improved growth,high free proline content,minimal malondialdehyde accumulation and increased accumulation of SUMO conjugates.Sl SIZ_1 is a functional homolog of Arabidopsis SIZ_1 with SUMO E_3 ligase activity.Therefore,overexpression of Sl SIZ_1 enhanced the tolerance of transgenic tobacco to drought stress. | Song Zhang Kunyang Zhuang Shiju Wang Jinlian Lv Na'na Ma Qingwei Meng | 2017 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2017,59,2: | 7 |
| 6 | Efficient photo-assisted Fenton oxidation treatment of multi-walled carbon nanotubes显示文摘In this paper,a new and efficient way to oxidize and functionalize the multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) has been developed by using a combination of ultraviolet (UV) irradiation and Fenton oxida-tion process,namely UV/Fenton oxidation treatment. Comparing with conventionally individual Fenton oxidation treatment of MWNTs,UV/Fenton combined treatment improved the etching rates and effi-ciencies and hence reduced the time for surface modification of MWNTs,which was proved to be an effective method in etching and functionalizing CNTs. The formation of new functional groups,struc-tural changes and thermal stability during oxidation period were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR),Raman spectroscopy and could be clarified by thermogravimetric analy-sis (TGA),which showed that it was under UV irradiation conditions that MWNTs could be rapidly functionalized with hydroxyl,carbonyl and carboxyl groups in the presence of Fenton reagents,origi-nating from the increase in the gross HO· concentration and the existent synergetic effect when using UV irradiation combing with Fenton oxidation process. | 7 | Sintering behavior, microstructure and properties of TiC-FeCr hard alloy显示文摘TiC based cermets were produced with FeCr, as a binder, by conventional P/M (powder metallurgy) to near >97% of the theoretical density. Sintering temperature significantly affects the mechanical properties of the composite. The sintering temperature of >1360°C caused severe chemical reaction between TiC particles and the binder phase. In the TiC-FeCr cermets, the mechanical prop- erties did not vary linearly with the carbide content. Optimum mechanical properties were found in the composite containing 57wt% TiC reinforcement, when sintered at 1360°C for 1 h. Use of carbon as an additive enhanced the mechanical properties of the composites. Cermets containing carbon as an additive with 49wt% TiC exhibited attractive mechanical properties. The microstructure of the developed composite contained less or no debonding, representing good wettability of the binder with TiC particles. Homogeneous distribution of the TiC particles ensured the presence of isotropic mechanical properties and homogeneous distribution of stresses in the composite.
