| 1 | Tectonic thermal history and its significance on the formation of oil and gas accumulation and mineral deposit in Ordos Basin显示文摘The analyzing data on stratigraphic temperature measurement , thermal conductivity of the strata and radioactive heat production rate show that the present average geothermal gradient in the Ordos Basin is 2.93℃/100 m, and the average heat flow value is 61.78 mW/m2, which belongs to the mesothermal basin, and the value of the present geothermal gradient and heat flow in the east is higher than that in the west. The sandstone radioactive heat production rate of Zhiluo Group in Dongsheng Uranium deposits of Yimeng uplift is obviously higher in the mudstone, indicating that there exists a uranium anomaly. Based on studies of the present thermal field of the basin, the late-Mesozoic paleotemperature and paleogeothermal gradient are determined by using different kinds of paleotemperature methods. According to the anomaly of the late-Mesozoic paleotemperature gradient and magmatic event age, there was a tectonic thermal event in the early Cretaceous epoch of late-Mesozoic. This article rebuilds tectonic thermal history of different tectonic units by thermal history simulation using basin simulating software. The evolution of oil-gas and coal, and accumulation (mineralization) of mineral uranium are all controlled by the tectonic thermal history in the Ordos basin, especially by the tectonic thermal event that happened in the late Mesozoic. For both the gas source rocks of upper Paleozoic group and lower paleozoic group, the gas was largely generated in the early Cretaceous epoch of the late Mesozoic. The main petroleum generation period for Yanchang Group in Triassic system is the early Cretaceous epoch too, and the highest thermal maturity of the coal of Permo-Carboniferous, Triassic, and Jurassic reaches is the early Cretaceous epoch also. | 4 | Myocardial infarction secondary prevention study (MISPS)显示文摘Background Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), especially herbal medicine, has been widely used in China and now is also being increasingly used in other countries for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Although many studies have demonstrated that certain Chinese herbal products are effective and safe for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, most of these lack sufficient quality. Therefore, large randomized clinical trials and further scientific research to determine its safety, effectiveness are necessary.QiShen YiQi Dripping Pills (QSYQDP) is a herbal preparation clinically used in the treatment and prevention of coronary artery disease. Preliminary observations have shown its safety and effectiveness. Methods/Design This randomized, controlled trial will recruit 3600 patients with a history of myocardial infarction. Patients will be randomized into two groups by a Centr-Randomized System. One group receives QSYQDP, the other group receive aspirin. This trial protocol will describe eligibility criteria, detailed information on the treatment definition, blinding, endpoints, statistical methods, sample size determination, data management, legal aspects, and the current status of the trial. Discussion This trial is one of the first randomized, controlled clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese herbal medicine in the treatment and secondary prevention of coronary artery disease. | 6 | Molecular simulation of oligomer inhibitors for calcite scale显示文摘Molecular simulation was performed to study the interaction between CaCO3 crystal and several oligomer inhibitors, by using the equilibrium morphology method to calculate the growth morphology of CaCO3 without inhibitors. The calculated morphology agreed well with SEM photographs. Then, a double-layer model was built to investigate the interaction between calcite crystal and oligomer inhibitors containing maleic anhydride (MA) and acrylic acid (AA). Interaction energy per gram of an oligomer inhibitor was introduced as a scale of inhibition efficiency of different monomers. The results indicated that, for calcite scale inhibition, acrylamide (AM) and vinyl phosphonic acid (VPA) were the most efficient monomers, while allylsulfonic acid (AS) was the poorest. | 8 | Developing a bacteriophage cocktail for biocontrol of potato bacterial wilt显示文摘Bacterial wilt is a devastating disease of potato and can cause an 80% production loss. To control wilt using bacteriophage therapy, we isolated and characterized twelve lytic bacteriophages from different water sources in Kenya and China. Based on the lytic curves of the phages with the pathogen Ralstonia solanacearum, one optimal bacteriophage cocktail, P1, containing six phage isolations was formulated and used for studying wilt prevention and treatment efficiency in potato plants growing in pots. The preliminary tests showed that the phage cocktail was very effective in preventing potato bacterial wilt by injection of the phages into the plants or decontamination of sterilized soil spiked with R. solanacearum. Eighty percent of potato plants could be protected from the bacterial wilt(caused by R. solanacearum reference strain GIM1.74 and field isolates), and the P1 cocktail could kill 98% of live bacteria spiked in the sterilized soil at one week after spraying.However, the treatment efficiencies of P1 depended on the timing of application of the phages, the susceptibility of the plants to the bacterial wilt, as well as the virulence of the bacteria infected,suggesting that it is important to apply the phage therapy as soon as possible once there are early signs of the bacterial wilt. | 12 | Development of small molecule extracellular signal-regulated kinases(ERKs) inhibitors for cancer therapy显示文摘The mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)/extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2(ERK1/2) signaling pathway is widely activated by a variety of extracellular stimuli, and its dysregulation is associated with the proliferation, invasion, and migration of cancer cells. ERK1/2 is located at the distal end of this pathway and rarely undergoes mutations, making it an attractive target for anticancer drug development. Currently, an increasing number of ERK1/2 inhibitors have been designed and synthesized for antitumor therapy, among which representative compounds have entered clinical trials. When ERK1/2 signal transduction is eliminated, ERK5 may provide a bypass route to rescue proliferation, and weaken the potency of ERK1/2 inhibitors. Therefore, drug research targeting ERK5 or based on the compensatory mechanism of ERK5 for ERK1/2 opens up a new way for oncotherapy. | 13 | GNSS clock corrections densification at SHAO:from 5 min to 30 s显示文摘High frequency multi-GNSS zero-difference applications like Precise Orbit Determination(POD)for Low Earth Orbiters(LEO)and high frequency kinematic positioning require corresponding high-rate GNSS clock corrections.The determination of the GNSS clocks in the orbit determination process is time consuming,especially in the combined GPS/GLONASS processing.At present,a large number of IGS Analysis Centers(AC)provide clock corrections in 5-min sampling and only a few ACs provide clocks in 30-s sampling for both GPS and GLONASS.In this paper,an efficient epoch-difference GNSS clock determination algorithm is adopted based on the algorithm used by the Center for Orbit Determination in Europe(CODE).The clock determination procedure of the GNSS Analysis Center at Shanghai Astronomical Observatory(SHAO)and the algorithm is described in detail.It is shown that the approach greatly speeds up the processing,and the densified 30-s clocks have the same quality as the 5-min clocks estimated based on a zero-difference solution.Comparing the densified 30-s GNSS clocks provided by SHAO with that of IGS and its ACs,results show that our 30-s GNSS clocks are of the same quality as that of IGS.Allan deviation also gives the same conclusion.Further validation of the SHAO 30-s clock product is performed in kinematic PPP and LEO POD.Results indicate that the positions have the same accuracy when using SHAO 30-s GNSS clocks or IGS(and its AC)finals.The robustness of the algorithm and processing approach ensure its extension to provide clocks in 5-s or even higher frequencies.The implementation of the new approach is simple and it could be delivered as a black-box to the current scientific software packages. | CHEN JunPing ZHANG YiZe ZHOU XuHua PEI Xiao WANG JieXian WU Bin | 2014 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2014,57,1: | 4 |
| 14 | Planted forest is catching up with natural forest in China in terms of carbon density and carbon storage显示文摘Over the last several decades,China has taken multiple measures for afforestation and natural forest protection,including setting the goal of carbon neutrality by the middle of 21th century.In order to support the practice of relevant policies from the scientific perspective,it is essential to precisely estimate the carbon storage of arbor forest,as it plays an important role in the carbon cycle of ecosystems.In this study,we first used the latest four phases of national forest inventory data to investigate the variation of carbon storage for both natural and planted arbor forest in China during the covered period(1999-2018).Then we used machine leaning methods to simulate the carbon density based on various kinds of environmental factors and analyzed the contribution of each influencing factor.Our results demonstrate that the total carbon storage for arbor forest in China kept increasing over the last two decades,but this increment was mainly brought about by the continuous expansion of forest land.The gap of carbon sequestration between natural forest and planted forest showed a significant trend of reduction.Additionally,tree age was identified as the dominant factor for influencing the spatiotemporal variation of carbon density among all the independent variables while the impact of climatic factor was limited.Therefore,the future improvement of carbon sequestration of arbor forest in should mainly rely on additional projects of afforestation,reforestation,green space conservation and reduction of emissions in China.Conclusions of this study have important implications for policy makers and other stakeholders to evaluate the previous achievement of environmental projects and can also help to set future plans and finally realize the goals of carbon neutrality. | Boyi Liang Jia Wang Zheyuan Zhang Jia Zhang Junping Zhang Elizabeth L.Cressey Zong Wang | 2022 | Fundamental Research2022,2,5: | 3 |

| 18 | DC-CIK联合化疗治疗非小细胞肺癌的临床疗效评价(英文)显示文摘Objective: The aim of the study was to evaluate the safety and therapeutic effects of autologous dendritic cells co-cultured with cytokine-induced killer cells (DC-CIK) combined with chemotherapy in advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. Methods: Fifty patients with advanced NSCLC (stages III to IV), who had received therapies in our Center (Department of Biotherapy, Affiliated to Cancer Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, Taiyuan, China) from August 2008 to January 2010, were treated by DC-CIK + chemotherapy as the combined treatment group; fifty advanced NSCLC patients treated with chemotherapy at the same time served as controls. The immunologic function, short-term therapeutic effects, the 1-year survival rate, the life quality, the chemotherapy side effects were compared between the two groups, the safety and therapeutic effects of DC-CIK cells therapy were observed too. Results: There was no obvious change of subsets of T cells in peripheral blood before and after therapy in DC-CIK + chemotherapy group, and IFN-γ was improved after therapy in this group (P < 0.05); in chemotherapy alone group, the ratios of CD3+CD4+, CD3+CD8+, CD3-CD56+ cells and the secretion of IL-2, TNF-α decreased significantly after therapy (P < 0.05); the ratios of CD3+CD8+, CD3+CD56+ were improved after cell culture (P < 0.05). The disease control rate (DCR) of DC-CIK + chemotherapy group was higher than that in the chemotherapy alone group (78.0% vs 56.0%, P < 0.05); the 1-year survival rates of DC-CIK + chemotherapy group and chemotherapy alone group were 50% and 44% respectively, had no significant difference. Compared with chemotherapy alone group, the occurrence of chemotherapy side effects (including bone marrow suppression, nausea and vomiting, peripheral nerve toxicity) was less in the DC-CIK + chemotherapy group (P < 0.05). The physical and appetite were better in DC-CIK + chemotherapy group after therapy. | 19 | Enriched Opportunistic Pathogens Revealed by Metagenomic Sequencing Hint Potential Linkages between Pharyngeal Microbiota and COVID-19显示文摘As a respiratory tract virus,SARS-CoV-2 infected people through contacting with the upper respiratory tract first.Previous studies indicated that microbiota could modulate immune response against pathogen infection.In the present study,we performed metagenomic sequencing of pharyngeal swabs from eleven patients with COVID-19 and eleven Non-COVID-19 patients who had similar symptoms such as fever and cough.Through metagenomic analysis of the above two groups and a healthy group from the public data,there are 6502 species identified in the samples.Specifically,the Pielou index indicated a lower evenness of the microbiota in the COVID-19 group than that in the Non-COVID-19 group.Combined with the linear discriminant analysis(LDA)and the generalized linear model,eighty-one bacterial species were found with increased abundance in the COVID-19 group,where 51 species were enriched more than 8 folds.The top three enriched genera were Streptococcus,Prevotella and Campylobacter containing some opportunistic pathogens.More interestingly,through experiments,we found that two Streptococcus strains,S.suis and S.agalactiae,could stimulate the expression of ACE2 of Vero cells in vitro,which may promote SARS-CoV-2 infection.Therefore,these enriched pathogens in the pharynxes of COVID-19 patients may involve in the virus-host interactions to affect SARS-CoV-2 infection and cause potential secondary bacterial infections through changing the expression of the viral receptor ACE2 and/or modulate the host’s immune system. | Dongyan Xiong Caroline Muema Xiaoxu Zhang Xinming Pan Jin Xiong Hang Yang Junping Yu Hongping Wei | 2021 | Virologica Sinica2021,36,5: | 3 |
