2A subduction channel model for exhumation of oceanic-type high-pressure to ultrahigh-pressure eclogite-facies metamorphic rocks in SW Tianshan,China显示文摘High-pressure(HP) and ultrahigh-pressure(UHP) eclogites exposed in collisional orogens are widely regarded to record the history of crustal rocks that were subducted to mantle depths and exhumed back to the surface.Insight into subduction and exhumation processes plays an important role in understanding the nature and evolution of subduction zones,geodynamics and plate tectonics.In contrast to continental-type HP to UHP metamorphic rocks that are dominated by felsic lithology,oceanic-type HP to UHP metamorphic rocks are dominated by mafic eclogites and thus have greater density,and their exhumation needs to overcome large barriers and may involve complicated tectonic processes.The exhumation of HP to UHP rocks is mainly influenced by the internal buoyancy,however,the external tectonic forces(such as channel flow) also act as effective exhumation drivers;in addition,effects of tectonic settings(such as slab rollback and breakoff) should take into account.The HP-UHP metamorphic terrane in Southwestern Tianshan,which mainly comprises of metasediments with interlayered metamafic lenses and blocks,represents a typical accretionary melange associated with deep subduction of oceanic crust.However,the exhumation mechanisms of these once deeply buried HP-UHP rocks are still under discussion.Based on the field occurrences,petrographic features,peak metamorphic P-T conditions and ages of the eclogites/blueschists and their metasedimentary country rocks,a 'sediment-type subduction channel' model is advocated in this study to appraise/decipher the formation and evolution of Southwestern Tianshan HP-UHP metamorphic belt.Poly-cyclic metamorphic eclogites record the multistage burial-exhumation cycling manipulated by convective flow in a channel-like interface between the plates,giving robust evidence for the presence of a subduction channel.In addition,this study summarizes some remaining geotectonic problems and research perspectives concerning the Southwestern Tianshan HP-UHP metamorphic belt.LI JiLei GAO Jun WANG XinShui 2016Science China(Information Sciences)2016,59,12:13
3Effect of Exposure to Trace Elements in the Soil on the Prevalence of Neural Tube Defects in a High-Risk Area of China显示文摘Objective Our objective is to build a model that explains the association between the exposure to trace elements in the soil and the risk of neural tube defects. Methods We built a function with different parameters to describe the effects of trace elements on neural tube defects. The association between neural tube defects and trace element levels was transformed into an optimization problem using the maximum likelihood method. Results Tin, lead, nickel, iron, copper, and aluminum had typical layered effects (dosage effects) on the prevalence of neural tube defects. Arsenic, selenium, zinc, strontium, and vanadium had no effect, and molybdenum had one threshold value that affected the prevalence of birth defects. Conclusion As an exploratory research work, our model can be used to determine the direction of the effect of the trace element content of cultivated soil on the risk of neural tube defects, which shows the clues by the dosage effect of their toxicological characteristics. 4Progress in aqueous rechargeable batteries显示文摘Over the past decades, a series of aqueous rechargeable batteries(ARBs) were explored, investigated and demonstrated. Among them,aqueous rechargeable alkali-metal ion(Li^+Na^+, K^+) batteries, aqueous rechargeable-metal ion(Zn^(2+),Mg^(2+), Ca^(2+), Al^(3+)) batteries and aqueous rechargeable hybrid batteries are standing out due to peculiar properties. In this review, we focus on the fundamental basics of these batteries, and discuss the scientific and/or technological achievements and challenges. 5Impact factors of fractal analysis of porous structure显示文摘Characterization of pore structure is one of the key problems for fabrication and application research on porous materials. But, complexity of pore structure makes it difficult to characterize pore structure by Euclidean geometry and traditional experimental methods. Fractal theory has been proved effective to characterize the complex pore structure. The box dimension method based on fractal theory was applied to characterizing the pore structure of fiber porous materials by analyzing the electronic scanning microscope (SEM) images of the porous materials in this paper. The influences of image resolution, threshold value, and image magnification on fractal analysis were investigated. The results indicate that such factors greatly affect fractal analysis process and results. 6Monitoring and analysis of mining 3D deformation by multiplatform SAR images with the probability integral method显示文摘Only one-dimensional (1D)deformation along the radar line of sight (LOS)can be obtained using differential interferometry synthetic aperture radar (D-InSAR),and D-InSAR observation is insensitive to deformation in the north direction.This study inferred three-dimensional (3D)deformation of a mining subsidence basin by combining the north-south deformation predicted by a probability integral method with the LOS deformation obtained by D-InSAR.The 15235 working face in Fengfeng mining area (Hebei Province,China)was used as the object of study.The north-south horizontal movement was predicted by the probability integral method according to the site's geological and mining conditions.Then,the vertical and east-west deformation fields were solved by merging ascend-orbit RadarSAT-2, descend-orbit TerraSAR,and predicted north-south deformation based on a least squares method.Comparing with the leveling data,the results show that the vertical deformation accuracy of the experimental method is better than the inversed vertical deformation neglecting the horizontal deformation.Finally,the impact of the relationship between the azimuth of the working face and the SAR imaging geometry on the monitoring of the mining subsidence basin was analyzed.The results can be utilized in monitoring mining subsidence basins by single SAR image sources.Meinan ZHENG Kazhong DENG Hongdong FAN Jilei HUANG 2019Frontiers of Earth Science2019,13,1:4
7Control of Southern Root-knot Nematodes on Tomato and Regulation of Soil Bacterial Community by Biofumigation with Zanthoxylum bungeanum Seed显示文摘Biofumigation is an environmentally friendly strategy used to control nematodes and plant diseases.The volatile oil of Zanthoxylum bungeanum has high insecticidal and antibacterial activity.However,it is not known if the seed of Z.bungeanum is a suitable material for biofumigation to control southern root-knot nematodes(SRKN)on tomato,and how it may regulate the soil bacterial community structure.We used pot experiments in the greenhouse to determine the effects of Z.bungeanum seeds on SRKN,plant growth parameters,soil physicochemical and microbial characteristics.A total of 26 volatile components,including nematicidally active substances,were identified from Z.bungeanum seeds.Z.bungeanum seed biofumigation significantly reduced the SRKN population by 88.89%and 81.55%on the 50th and 100th day after transplanting,respectively.Compared to the control,the total soluble sugar,soluble solids,soluble protein,titratable acid,root activity and the fruit yield per tomato plant increased significantly.The content of soil alkali-hydrolyzed nitrogen,available potassium and the soil enzyme activities were also significantly increased.The soil bacterial diversity and the co-occurrence network complexity were increased by Z.bungeanum seed biofumigation.Relativelymore keystone OTUs in biofumigation soil had potential plant growth-promoting capabilities.The function of Z.bungeanum seed increasing tomato production in SRKN-infected soil depends on directly killing SRKN and improving soil properties.These results indicate that Z.bungeanum seed can be used as both a nematicide and a high quality organic fertilizer in tomato production.Xiaoyun Wang Wencong Shi Jilei Wang Zheng Gao Shuang Li Ningxin Wang Qinghua Shi 2021Horticultural Plant Journal2021,7,1:3
8A one-step rectification of sperm cell targeting ensures the success of double fertilization显示文摘Successful fertilization in animals depends on competition among millions of sperm cells, whereas double fertilization in flowering plants usually involves just one pollen tube releasing two immobile sperm cells. It is largely a mystery how the plant sperm cells fuse efficiently with their female targets within an embryo sac. We show that the initial positioning of sperm cells upon discharge from the pollen tube is usually inopportune for gamete fusions and that adjustment of sperm cell targeting occurs through release and re-adhesion of one sperm cell, while the other connected sperm cell remains in stagnation.This enables proper adhesion of each sperm cell to a female gamete and coordinates the gamete fusions. 10Pd nanoparticles immobilized on graphite oxide modified with a base: Highly efficient catalysts for selective hydrogenation of citral显示文摘In this work, the Pd-based catalysts were designed via immobilizing Pd nanoparticles on graphite oxide (GO) modified with organic base, 1,1,3,3-tetramethylguanidine (TMG), which was used for the selective hydrogenation of citral. These catalysts were characterized by various techniques including IR, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. It was demonstrated that the Pd particles with size less than 5 nm were uniformly distributed throughout the support, and they were in the electron-deficient state due to the strong interactions with the modified support. The resultant Pd-TMG/GO catalyst displayed high efficiency for the selective hydrogenation of citral with a turnover frequency of 7100 h-1 as well as superior selectivity to citronellal of 89.6%. 11Breast and gut microbiome in health and cancer显示文摘The microbiota plays essential roles in health and disease,in both the intestine and the extra-intestine.Dysbiosis of the gut microbiota causes dysfunction in the intestine,which leads to inflammatory,immune,and infectious diseases.Dysbiosis is also associated with dis-eases beyond the intestine via microbial translocation or metabolisms.The in situ breast mi-crobiome,which may be sourced from the gut through lactation and sexual contact,could be altered and cause breast diseases.In this review,we summarize the recent progress in under-standing the interactions among the gut microbiome,breast microbiome,and breast diseases.We discuss the intestinal microbiota,microbial metabolites,and roles of microbiota in immune system.We emphasize the novel roles and mechanisms of the microbiome(both in situ and gastrointestinal sourced)and bacterial products in the development and progression of breast cancer.The intestinal microbial translocation suggests that the gut microbiome is translocated to the skin and subsequently to the breast tissue.The gut bacterial translocation is also due to the increased intestinal permeability.The breast and intestinal microbiota are important fac-tors in maintaining healthy breasts.Micronutrition queuine(Q)is derived from a de novo syn-thesized metabolite in bacteria.All human cells use queuine and incorporate it into the wobble anticodon position of specific transfer RNAs.We have demonstrated that Q modifica-tion regulates genes critical in tight junctions and migration in human breast cancer cells and a breast tumor model.We further discuss the challenges and future perspectives that can move the field forward for prevention,diagnosis,and treatment of breast diseases.Jilei Zhang Yinglin Xia Jun Sun 2021Genes & Diseases2021,8,5:2
12Petrogenesis and Geodynamic Implications of Late Jurassic Diorite Porphyry in the Neoproterozoic Ophiolitic Mélange of NE Jiangxi (South China)显示文摘Mesozoic magmatism is widespread in the eastern South China Block and has a close genetic relationship with intensive polymetallic mineralization. However, proper tectonic driver remains elusive to reconcile the broad intracontinental magmatic province. This study presents integrated zircon U-Pb dating, Hf isotopes and whole-rock geochemistry of the Xiwan dioritic porphyry in the NE Jiangxi ophiolitic mélange. Zircon U-Pb dating by SIMS and LA-ICP-MS methods yielded an emplacement age of ~160 Ma for the Xiwan diorite, confirming its inclusion into the Mesozoic magmatic province in SE China, instead of a component of the Neoproterozoic ophiolitic mélange genetically. The dioritic rocks have low Si02(58.08 wt%-59.15 wt%), and high Na_2 O(5.00 wt%-5.21 wt%) and MgO(4.60 wt%-5.24 wt%) contents with low TFeO/MgO ratios(1.02-1.09). They show an adakitic geochemical affinity but exhibit relatively low Sr/Y ratios(24.8-31.1) and high Y contents(14.6-18.3 ppm) compared to the Dexing adakitic porphyries. In addition, the Xiwan diorites have moderately evolved zircon Hf isotopic compositions(ε_(Hf)(t)=-6.1--0.1; T_(DM2)=1597-1219 Ma). These elemental and isotopic signatures suggest that the Xiwan diorite formed through partial melting of a remnant arc lower crust(i.e., early Neoproterozoic mafic arc-related rocks) in response to the underplating of coeval mafic magmas. In conjunction with the temporal-spatial distribution and complex geochemical characteristics of the Mesozoic magmatism, our case study attests to the feasibility of a flat-slab subduction model in developing the broad intracontinental magmatic province in SE China. 13Rutile in HP Rocks from the Western Tianshan,China:Mineralogy and Its Economic Implications显示文摘Rutile is a common Ti-bearing accessory mineral in high pressure(HP) metamorphic rocks of the western Tianshan. Distribution of rutile in the HP rocks varies from 0.5% in the greenschist to 30% in the rutile-bearing vein. Rutile can be subdivided into three groups based on the variation of trace elements: The first group has an averaged Zr content of 18 ppm–44 ppm and Hf content of 0.8 ppm–2.4 ppm, which correspond to occurrence of rutile from vein; the second group Zr of 59 ppm–63 ppm, Hf of 3.5 ppm–3.7 ppm; and the third group Zr of 150 ppm–160 ppm and Hf of 3.9 ppm, corresponding to rutile in the matrix of blueschist and eclogite, respectively. Rutile has been retrograded to ilmenite and titanite partly or completely, reducing the value of the ore. But rutile of HP rocks in the western Tianshan usually has the lowest content of uranium(<1 ppm U), which might become an attractive raw material for the Ti industry. 18Realizing the highly reversible Zn^(2+)and Na^(+) dual ions storage in high-crystallinity nickel hexacyanoferrate microcubes for aqueous zinc-ion batteries显示文摘Prussian blue analogues(PBAs)with the 3D open framework are regarded as promising cathode candidates for aqueous Zinc ion batteries(ZIBs).Among various PBAs,nickel hexacyanoferrate(NiHCF)has attracted considerable attention because of its high operating voltage and economic merit.However,the cyclability of NiHCF is unsatisfactory due to poor structural stability during Zn^(2+) ions insertion/deinsertion.Moreover,the ion storage mechanism of NiHCF in aqueous electrolytes has not been fully revealed yet.Herein,high-crystallinity NiHCF(HC-NiHCF)microcubes with improved structural stability and larger crystal plane spacing are synthesized.For the first time,highly reversible Zn2+ions and Na+ions co-insertion/extraction are achieved for the HC-NiHCF microcubes in mixed aqueous electrolyte,as evidenced by various observations including two separated discharge plateaus and sequential changes of Na 1s and Zn 2p signals in ex-situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).As a result,a high specific capacity of 73.9 mAh g^(−1) is obtained for the HC-NiHCF microcubes at 0.1 A g−1,combined with enhanced cycle stability(75%vs.16.4%)over 1000 cycles at 2 A g^(−1).The reversible Zn^(2+) ions and Na+ions co-insertion in HC-NiHCF microcubes reveals a new ion storage mechanism of Ni-based PBAs in aqueous electrolytes.Kexuan Wang Zhu Xu Heng Li Huibo Wang Mingzheng Ge Jilei Liu Shengwen Li Zekun Hu Mengyu Zhu Yanyan Zhang Yuxin Tang Shi Chen 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,33:1
