| 1 | Ce anomaly in minerals of eclogite and garnet pyroxenite from Dabie-Sulu ultrahigh pressure metamorphic belt:Tacking subducted sediment formed under oxidizing conditions显示文摘In-situ excimer laser ICP-MS analysis of minerals of eclogites and garnet pyrox- enites from type localities (Shuanghe, Maowu, Bixiling, and Yangkou) in the Dabie-Sulu ultra- high-pressure metamorphic belt reveals highly variable Ce anomalies from negative to positive in garnet. Similar Ce anomalies are also present in omphacite or clinopyroxene but to a much lesser extent. Such mixed negative and positive Ce anomalies mimic those found in severe weathering profiles developed under oxidizing conditions. | 3 | Uniform categorization of biocommunication in bacteria,fungi and plants显示文摘This article describes a coherent biocommunication categorization for the kingdoms of bacteria,fungi and plants. The investigation further shows that,besides biotic sign use in trans-,inter-and intraorganismic communication processes,a common trait is interpretation of abiotic influences as indicators to generate an appropriate adaptive behaviour.Far from being mechanistic interactions,communication processes within organisms and between organisms are sign-mediated interactions.Sign-mediated interactions are the precondition for every cooperation and coordination between at least two biological agents such as cells,tissues,organs and organisms.Signs of biocommunicative processes are chemical molecules in most cases.The signs that are used in a great variety of signaling processes follow syntactic(combinatorial) ,pragmatic(context-dependent) and semantic(contentspecific) rules.These three levels of semiotic rules are helpful tools to investigate communication processes throughout all organismic kingdoms.It is not the aim to present the latest empirical data concerning communication in these three kingdoms but to present a unifying perspective that is able to interconnect transdisciplinary research on bacteria,fungi and plants. | Günther Witzany | 2010 | World Journal of Biological Chemistry2010，1，5： | 1 |

| 5 | Surface chemistry of nanoscale Fe_3O_4 dispersed in magnetic fluids显示文摘The interaction between stabilizers and nanoparticles is one of the important factors to prepare stable magnetic fluids. The magnetic nano-size Fe3O4 core with single domain and the average grain size around 8-12 nm were prepared by chemical precipitation method. The O/Fe molar ratio of the particle surface was measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The heat effects of stabilizers ad- sorption on nanoparticles were measured by solution calorimetry. The excess amount of oxygen was possibly the result of the hydroxygen formed on the surface of the nanoparticles. The heat effects showed that compounds containing carboxyl groups can be adsorbed chemically on magnetite by forming chemical bonds. The other stabilizers involving NH-groups, such as polyethylene-imine, can be adsorbed physically.
