| 1 | Liver insulin-like growth factor 2 methylation in hepatitis C virus cirrhosis and further occurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘AIM: To assess the predictive value of the insulinlike growth factor 2 (Igf2) methylation profile for the occurrence of Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) in hepatitis C (HCV) cirrhosis. METHODS: Patients with: (1) biopsy-proven compensated HCV cirrhosis; (2) available baseline frozen liver sample; (3) absence of detectable HCC; (4) regular screening for HCC; (5) informed consent for genetic analysis were studied. After DNA extraction from liver samples and bisulfite treatment, unbiased PCR and DHPLC analysis were performed for methylation analysis at the Igf2 locus. The predictive value of the Igf2 methylation profile for HCC wasassessed by Kaplan-Meier and Cox methods. RESULTS: Among 94 included patients, 20 developed an HCC during follow-up (6.9 ± 3.2 years). The methylation profile was hypomethylated, intermediate and hypermethylated in 13, 64 and 17 cases, respectively. In univariate analysis, two baseline parameters were associated with the occurrence of HCC: age (P = 0.01) and prothrombin (P = 0.04). The test of linear tendency between the three ordered levels of Igf2 methylation and probability of HCC occurrence was significant (Log Rank, P = 0.043; Breslow, P = 0.037; Tarone-Ware, P = 0.039). | 2 | Peripheral interventions and antiplatelet therapy: Role in current practice显示文摘Peripheral arterial disease(PAD) is a common disorder associated with a high risk of cardiovascular mortality and continues to be under-recognized. The major risk factors for PAD are similar to those for coronary and cerebrovascular disease. Management includes exercise program, pharmacologic therapy and revascularization including endovascular and surgical approach. The optimal revascularization strategy, endovascular or surgical intervention, is often debated due to the paucity of head to head randomized controlled studies. Despite significant advances in endovascular interventions resulting in increased utilization over surgical bypass, significant challenges still remain. Platelet activation and aggregation after percutaneous transluminal angioplasty of atherosclerotic arteries are important risk factors for re-occlusion/restenosis and life-threatening thrombosis following endovascular procedures. Antiplatelet agents are commonly prescribed to reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke and death from cardiovascular causes in patients with PAD. Despite an abundance of data demonstrating efficacy of antiplatelet therapy in coronary artery disease and cerebrovascular disease, there is a paucity of clinical information, clinical guidelines and randomized controlled studies in the PAD population. Hence, data on antiplatelet therapy in coronary interventions is frequently extrapolated to peripheral interventions. | 3 | Imaging pancreatobiliary ductal system with optical coherence tomography: A review显示文摘An accurate, noninvasive and cost-effective method of in situ tissue evaluation during endoscopy would be highly advantageous for the detection of dysplasia or early cancer and for identifying different disease stages. Optical coherence tomography(OCT) is a noninvasive, high-resolution(1-10 μm) emerging optical imaging method with potential for identifying microscopic subsurface features in the pancreatic and biliary ductal system. Tissue microstructure of pancreaticobiliary ductal system has been successfully imaged by inserting an OCT probe through a standard endoscope operative channel. High-resolution OCT images and the technique's endoscopic compatibility have allowed for the microstructural diagnostic of thepancreatobiliary diseases. In this review, we discussed currently available pancreaticobiliary ductal imaging systems to assess the pancreatobiliary tissue microstructure and to evaluate varieties of pancreaticobiliary disorders and diseases. | 4 | 生长兔日粮中棕榈仁粕的营养价值显示文摘为确定饲料中的棕榈仁粕(PKM)对生长兔的营养价值,在试验1中,选用新西兰×加州50日龄生长兔20只来确定PKM的能量、粗蛋白、纤维和脂肪消化率。通过不同方法对其营养价值进行评估,试验分为对照组(基础日粮)和试验组(在基础日粮中添加PKM200g.kg-1)。PKM的能量、粗蛋白、乙醚提取物和中性洗涤纤维的消化率分别为0.549(±0.056,SE)、0.541(±0.069)、0.850(±0.048)和0.430(±0.101),可消化的能量为10.9±1.03MJ.kg-1DM;试验2中,412只生长兔被随机分配在2个试验日粮组来衡量其增长性能。试验结果表明,与对照组相比,PKM日粮组对饲料及可消化能量的摄入无显著差异,但平均日增重(P=0.003)和饲料效率(P<0.001)略有下降(约5%),死亡率和软粪便中产气荚膜梭菌数量都不受日粮类型的影响。说明棕榈仁粕可以作为生长兔的纤维、蛋白质和脂肪来源,其可以替代其他日粮中大量的纤维成分,并且对生产性能没有不利影响。 | Carrión S De Blas J C Méndez J Caídas A García-Rebollar P | 2012 | 饲料博览2012，，2： | 2 |
