2Influence of Water Stress on Endogenous Hormone Contents and Cell Damage of Maize Seedlings显示文摘Phytohormones play critical roles in regulating plant responses to stress. We investigated the effects of water stress induced by adding 12% (w/v) polyethylene glycol to the root medium on the levels of abscisic acid (ABA), indole-3-acid (IAA), zeatin (ZT), and gibberellin3 (GA3) in maize leaves. The results suggested that water stress had significant effects on the four hormone levels. There was a transient increase in the IAA content during the initial stage of adaptation to water stress in maize leaves, but it dropped sharply thereafter in response to water stress. ABA content increased dramatically in maize leaves after 24 h of exposure to water stress, and then the high levels of ABA were maintained to the end. The contents of ZT and GA3 rapidly declined in maize leaves subjected to water stress. The effects of water stress on chlorophyll content, electrolyte leakage and malondialdehyde levels in maize leaves were also studied. The variation of cell damage was negatively correlated with ZT and GA3 levels in maize leaves under water stress. Thus, we explored the roles of ZT and GA3 on the growth of maize seedlings under water stress by exogenous application. 4Synthesis of LiFePO_4 /C as cathode material by a novel optimized hydrothermal method显示文摘Olivine LiFePO 4 , as a cathode material for lithium ion batteries, was prepared by a novel optimized hydrothermal method; afterwards, the product mixed with glucose was two-step (350℃ and 700℃) calcinated under high-purity N 2 atmosphere to obtain the LiFePO 4 /C composite. The study on the hydrothermal preparation method, which focused on the influences of molar ratios, initial pH value, reaction temperature, and duration, was made to promote the resultant performances and to investigate the relations between the performances and the reaction conditions. The resultant samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and electrochemical tests, which include charge-discharge, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry. The result shows that the optimal hydrothermal condition is to set the Li:Fe:P molar ratio at 3:1:1 and the reaction temperature at 180℃ for 5 h duration with an initial pH value of 7. 5Recent Changes in Precipitation Extremes in the Heihe River Basin,Northwest China显示文摘Changes in rainfall extremes pose a serious and additional threat to water resources planning and management,natural and artificial oasis stability,and sustainable development in the fragile ecosystems of arid inland river basins. In this study,the trend and temporal variation of extreme precipitation are analyzed using daily precipitation datasets at 11 stations over the arid inland Heihe River basin in Northwest China from 1960 to 2011. Eight indices of extreme precipitation are studied.The results show statistically significant and large-magnitude increasing and decreasing trends for most indices,primarily in the Qilian Mountains and eastern Hexi Corridor. More frequent and intense rainfall extremes have occurred in the southern part of the desert area than in the northern portion. In general,the temporal variation in precipitation extremes has changed throughout the basin. Wet day precipitation and heavy precipitation days show statistically significant linear increasing trends and step changes in the Qilian Mountains and Hexi Corridor. Consecutive dry days have decreased obviously in the region in most years after approximately the late 1980 s,but meanwhile very long dry spells have increased,especially in the Hexi Corridor. The probability density function indicates that very long wet spells have increased in the Qilian Mountains. The East Asian summer monsoon index and western Pacific subtropical high intensity index possess strong and significant negative and positive correlations with rainfall extremes,respectively. 7Genetic transformation of calli from maize and regeneration of herbicide-resistant plantlets显示文摘The herbicide-resistant gene als of Arabidopsis thaliana has been transferred into embryonic calli of maize by microprojectile bombardment. We have obtained chlor-sulfuron-resistant calli and regenerated plantlets through selection by herbicide chlorsulfuron. The results of PCR analysis and Southern blotting indicate that gene als has been transferred into some plantlets. The test of spraying chlorsulfuron indicated that the transgenic plantlets had favorable herbicide-resistant trait. The purpose of the research was to obtain chiorsulfuron-resistant transgenic maize and hope that this kind of high efficient herbicide could be widely used in rotation soil of wheat and maize. 8Wind Wave Characteristics and Engineering Environment of the South China Sea显示文摘Wave simulation was conducted for the period 1976 to 2005 in the South China Sea(SCS) using the wave model, WAVEWATCH-III. Wave characteristics and engineering environment were studied in the region. The wind input data are from the objective reanalysis wind datasets, which assimilate meteorological data from several sources. Comparisons of significant wave heights between simulation and TOPEX/Poseidon altimeter and buoy data show a good agreement in general. By statistical analysis, the wave characteristics, such as significant wave heights, dominant wave directions, and their seasonal variations, were discussed. The largest significant wave heights are found in winter and the smallest in spring. The annual mean dominant wave direction is northeast(NE) along the southwest(SW)-NE axis, east northeast in the northwest(NW) part of SCS, and north northeast in the southeast(SE) part of SCS. The joint distributions of wave heights and wave periods(directions) were studied. The results show a single peak pattern for joint significant wave heights and periods, and a double peak pattern for joint significant wave heights and mean directions. Furthermore, the main wave extreme parameters and directional extreme values, particularly for the 100-year return period, were also investigated. The main extreme values of significant wave heights are larger in the northern part of SCS than in the southern part, with the maximum value occurring to the southeast of Hainan Island. 9Polyoxometalate-based high-nuclear cobalt-vanadium-oxo cluster as efficient catalyst for visible light-driven CO2 reduction显示文摘A high-nuclear Co-V-O cluster was firstly isolated by lacunary polyoxoanion, resulting in the high-nuclear mixed metal-oxo cluster-containing polyoxometalate (POM), K4Na28[{Co4(O-H)3(VO4)}4(SiW9O34)4]· 66H2O (1). In 1, the{Co4(O-H)3(VO4)}4{Co16-V4}core, composed of a{Co4O4}cubane, four{Co4(OH)3}qusi-cubanes and four VO4 units, was stabilized by four lacunary A-α-{SiW9O34} units. Photocatalytic study reveals that 1 exhibits excellent photocatalytic activity for CO2-to-CO conversion with high selectivity under visible light irradiation. The turnover number (TON) and turnover frequency (TOF) reaches as high as 10492 and 0.29 s^-1, respectively. Compound 1 represents the first high nuclear TM cluster-containing POM (TM=transition-metal) with efficient visible light catalytic activity for CO2 reduction, and its photocatalytic activity is much higher than those of most reported molecular catalysts. 10General semi-analytical solutions to one-dimensional consolidation for unsaturated soils显示文摘This paper presents general semi-analytical solutions to Fredlund and Hasan's one-dimensional(1D) consolidation equations for unsaturated soils subject to different initial conditions, homogeneous boundaries and time-dependent loadings. Two variables are introduced to transform the two-coupled governing equations of pore-water and poreair pressures into an equivalent set of partial differential equations(PDEs), which are solved with the Laplace transform method. The pore-water and pore-air pressures and settlement are obtained in the Laplace transform domain. The Crump's method is used to perform inverse Laplace transform to obtain the solutions in the time domain. 11Efiect of surface waves on air-sea momentum fiux in high wind conditions for typhoons in the South China Sea显示文摘The WAVEWATCH-Ⅲ wave model is implemented in the South China Sea to investigate the air-sea momentum fiux in high wind conditions during 23 passages of typhoon occurred in 2005.The wave model is driven by the reanalyzed surface winds assimilated by several meteorologic data sources.The friction velocity was calculated and the relationships between difierent air-sea momentum param-eters were studied.The results show that the drag coeficient decreases with the wave age generally and levels ofi for wind speeds higher than 35 m/s under typhoon wind forcing.The spatial variations of air-sea momentum fiux parameters in high wind conditions forced by typhoons are completely difierent from those at weak wind speeds and significantly depend on the relative position from the typhoon center.Liangming Zhou Aifang Wang Peifang Guo Zhifeng Wang 2008Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2008,18,9:2

17Geochronology,Petrogenesis and Tectonic Setting of the Late Jurassic I-type Granites in the North Qinling Orogenic Belt,Central China显示文摘The North Qinling Orogenic Belt(NQOB)is a composite orogenic belt in central China.It started evolving during the Meso-Neoproterozoic period and underwent multiple stages of plate subduction and collision before entering intra-continental orogeny in the Late Triassic.The Meso-Cenozoic intra-continental orogeny and tectonic evolution had different responses in various terranes of the belt,with the tectonic evolution of the middle part of the belt being particularly controversial.The granites distributed in the Dayu and Kuyu areas in the middle part of the NQOB can provide an important window for revealing the geodynamic mechanisms of the NQOB.The main lithology of Dayu and Kuyu granites is biotite monzogranite,and the zircon U-Pb dating yielded intrusive ages of 151.3±3.4 Ma and 147.7±1.5 Ma,respectively.The dates suggest that the biotite monzogranite were formed at the end of the Late Jurassic.The whole-rock geochemistry analysis shows that the granites in the study areas are characterized by slightly high SiO_(2)(64.50-68.88 wt%)and high Al_(2)O_(3)(15.12-16.24 wt%)and Na_(2)O(3.55-3.80 wt%)contents.They are also enriched in light rare earth elements,large ion lithophile elements(e.g.,Ba,K,La,Pb and Sr),and depleted in high field strength elements(HFSEs)(e.g.,Ta,Nb,P and Ti).Additionally,the granites have weakly negative-slightly positive Eu anomalies(δEu=0.91-1.19).Zircon Lu-Hf isotopic analysis showedε_(Hf)(t)=-6.1--3.8,and the two-stage model age is T_(2DM(crust))=1.5-1.6 Ga.The granites in the study areas are analyzed as weak peraluminous high-K calc-alkaline I-type granites.They formed by partial melting of the thickened ancient lower crust,accompanied by the addition of minor mantle-derived materials.During magma ascent,they experienced fractional crystallization,with residual garnet and amphibole for a certain proportion in the magma source region.Comprehensive the geotectonic data suggest that the end of the Late Jurassic granite magmatism in the Dayu and Kuyu areas represents a compression-extension transition regime.It may have been a response to multiple tectonic mechanisms,such as the late Mesozoic intra-continental southward subduction of the North China Craton and the remote effect of the Paleo-Pacific Plate subduction.HUANG Yanna LI Dunpeng XIAO Aifang XU Songming 2023Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2023,97,4:1

20Increasing free-air 0℃ isotherm height in Southwest China from 1960 to 2010显示文摘Based on the radiosonde data observed at 14 stations in Southwest China from 1960 to 2010, as well as the corresponding surface air temperature, the long-term change of free-air 0 ℃isotherm height in Southwest China and the relationships between surface air temperature and 0 ℃isotherm height are discussed. The results indicated that the spatial distribution of 0 isotherm height is generally related with latitude, but the ℃ huge massif or plateau may complicate the latitude pattern. The two main regimes influencing the spatial patterns of 0 isotherm height℃ in Southwest China are latitude and huge massif. The annual 0 isotherm height has increased by 35 m per decade in the recent decades, which is st℃ atistically significant at the 0.001 level. Generally, the increasing trend can be examined for each seasonal series, especially in winter(53 m per decade).
